Excellent restaurant with a great vibe and excellent, kind bartenders (Carrie and Cooper). Stopped here after lackluster visit to Diametric Brewery and the difference is astounding. Much better vibe in restaurant area with the tanks nearby. Bar was very nice. The beers were excellent without exception. Definitely worth the visit. I can't comment on the food because we did not eat. The menu for brunch was pretty small, but I think the goal is to be able to offer something to go with the excellent beer. They have a very nice assortment of spirits as well. Great place! Tree hanks Carrier and Cooper for helping to make it a memorable Father's day with my son!!!

Husband & I stopped in so I could do a flight! Got way more than I bargained for! Staff is extremely friendly & helpful. Husband ordered the Dopey & chips- AMAZING!!! Beer was exceptional!! I asked which was better of a couple so I could try more & they did not disappoint!!!

What a beguiling discovery. A wide open space with plenty of rustic charm, outdoor seating, a ponderous selection of house brewed beer, and a small food menu; The Goat is the perfect neighborhood tavern. The beers we tried were delectable, So good, in fact, I suspect there may be some dark arts involved in the brewing process. Thus, the goat appellation. Of special note is the Wee Heavy, a Scottish ale. After a couple pints of those my friend stood on our table and bellowed to the other patrons, 'are there no true Scotsmen in the house!!' I don't know what all that was about but I do know that we'll be back to The Goat very soon.

This place is great! Enjoyed my first experience here. Cool atmosphere and I enjoyed the music (this night it was mostly rock cover songs). Very friendly service and they were helpful with recommendations. I had a flight and personally wasn't a big fan of the kolsch but everything else I tried was fantastic. They have some good food options if you're looking for a snack as well. I'd definitely come back!

Good place for a beer. They make a really tasty brew. Just started serving food a few months ago and looks like staff spends too much time making food instead of hanging and talking beer. Still, great place to go

Very tasty beers and friendly owner. And on a chilly fall evening, the decor and lighting were warm and cozy. I bought some beer to go after my flight. (one bartender seemed more interested in a small, rectangular electronic device than chatting or pouring beers, but i'll let that slide this once.)

We had come here for the kc tap tour deal and I'm glad we did! They didn't seem busy at all but it was on a Wednesday after all. To my surprise The Goat does serve German like food options that include Po'boy sandwiches, brats and even funky bar snacks. The beer we tried was delicious, I ordered a sour ale with blueberry and lime. For a 16oz that only ran me $7 and with the tap tour deal we had a coupon for buy one get one. They have all sorts of fun beer combinations, one beer had Chile and Serrano peppers added in! It's a bit of a drive for us but I will be visiting again in the future.

Very chill friendly place for a quiet Friday evening drink to relax and chat about the week. We got a flight of sour beers and they were yummy. They were out of hot dogs both encounters. Love supporting our locals!

Great local brewery. Super friendly. Extensive selection of ales, IPAs, stouts, sours, seltzers and even cocktails!! Stylishly decorated. Very hospitable to fur babies- gave my pup a bowl of water and even a dog treat that my very fussy dog was thrilled to eat. Bonus points for the MOSCA (metropolitan organization to counter sexual assault) informational cards in the restrooms they have fun events, like music, bingo, and paint and sip. A must try it if you're in the area.

We were looking for a brewery to decompress after a rough Thanksgiving, and were so glad we got to stop in at The Goat! The owners were very sweet and talked to us about their Thanksgiving with their kids, while their dog sauntered around to say hi to everyone who walked through the door. Loved the mobster and KC history that the bar is named for, and discussing some of the finer points of what was going on during Prohibition. The decor is super cute, with a mix of bar seats, tables, and even some couches and chairs if you want to get comfortable. They run educator discounts at 20% every Thursday with teacher ids, which I really appreciated. All the beers were super drinkable and tasty. They have lots of fun events but are good just to drop in too. Highly highly recommend.

We pass by here all the time and have finally stopped in. So far so good. I'm trying the Goat Köntract (Kölsch)

We had the caramel cream ale, which is in my top 5 beers of all time. Perfectly sweet and light. The peach tee kolsch was good too- a nice balance of peach. The cherry limeade wheat was right on the edge of sour. It was good that it was served in a smaller glass so we didn't do too much of it. We also did a shot of the stonebreaker cinnamon whiskey, which was a really nice collab between fringe and another local distillery. Super smooth with an oaky flavor on the background. Absolutely love the dark carnival decor, especially the pinball machines, the giant skeleton and the patio with a garage door interior. Highly highly recommend on every level. You should go!

There is a story for much of the art work which I will not do a disservice by trying put it in a review. Go there, see it and ask they'll gladly share the story. Second, INCREDIBLE beers are on tap. I tasted 10 during my visit and every single beer was worth trying. My faves were: Freshly Squeezed Blueberry Lemonade Wheat, Apple Pie Milkshake IPA and Calliope Caramel Cream Ale. Finally, the most important part of the operation is the people. Every single person that was present made me feel welcome and like I was already a part of their community. WOW, I was left feeling like I'd made new friends which I know I did. I travel to KC at least once per year and every year I will return to support this awesome brewery. Thank you for a memorable experience.

Most of my orders have been curbside pickup since it's right around the corner from my house, and the process has always been quick and seamless. Let me tell you about the Great Salmon Caper Sandwich. A soft, pillowy brioche bun, flaky grilled salmon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a creamy, tangy aioli. It is quite literally one of the best salmon sandwiches I've ever had. When I say I'll never get sick of this sandwich, I mean it. It's a genuine 10/10 and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The Cluckers are also excellent and come with an absurd amount of food. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces can sometimes be so large that the chicken-to-breading ratio feels a little off. Other than that, they're fantastic. The breading is seasoned perfectly, the chicken is juicy, and the price is extremely affordable for the portion size. The homemade honey mustard is also some of the best I've ever had and is easily my favorite dipping sauce on the menu. Wally's is one of those places that never disappoints. Fast service, affordable prices, generous portions, and consistently great food make it an easy recommendation.

I hadn't heard about it, but after checking out their menu, I was game. Our server, Kaylee was great. It took her a bit to get to our table, but she had a lot of tables and not much help. She was very kind and knew the menu well. My wife had the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken, which she liked great deal. I had a small salad add-on to start the meal. And then I ordered the lasagna. The lasagna was fantastic! One of the better lasagnas I have had in the Metro area. Very meaty and a hardy portion. There were a couple of misfires. Service was a bit too quick as we weren't done with our appetizers and I was still eating my salad when all of the entrées came. Just a few minutes early. All of us ordered drinks from the bar and my wife was the only one that enjoyed hers. The rest of them fell short. One was a custom order and two were from the specialty drink menu. 3/4 drinks fell flat. Maybe they had an inexperienced bartender that night. All in all we would return and hope to try other things on the menu, but we would probably only order beer or wine.
