Hot honey pepperoni
Monica R.

The Big Cupid themed decorations made for a perfect Valentine's date with the kiddo. So many decorations and photo ops making it a fun place for Valentines dinner not to mention the heart shaped pizza and the themed cocktails. We ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza and it was good not too spicy. We also tried the Fig and Prosciutto pizza and liked it more than the hot honey. I've visited several of the MCB locations and the pop up themes have been great! I recommend visiting during a holiday popup. The food and service is good as well.

We experienced Martin City Brewery during their Big Cupid Valentines Day event. So cute! Their salads are always amazing. Started our meal off with a Cobb Salad to share. So many toppings and the raspberry dressing was on point. Charcuterie Board had all the ingredients for a savory and delicious lead in to our main course. Heart shaped pizza in one of their specialty pizzas Chicken Spankopita flavored. We were so impressed and satisfied. Definitely need to make an effort to try them for brunch or dessert sometime. Yummy! Put this on your go to and take your Valentine for a treat. Service staff are sweet and knowledgeable about menu choices.

I haven't been to MCB in quite a while. KCRW lunch menu enticed me to make a visit. I decided on a Blackberry smash, the lunch special- small house salad with feta vinaigrette & Chicken Spanokita pizza. BF got the RW options: pretzel bites & Italian Grinder with chips. Everything was very good with our food being hot & fresh. The ground mustard for the pretzel was too powerful but cheese sauce made up for it. The chips were addictive.

Great food and lovely christmas experience. We tried the buffalo wings and a personal size hot honey pizza. The wings were huge and char grilled. Drink menu had a bit of everything. The decor is adorable and in full christmas mode. The service was fast and we had no issues.

I've been here before, right after it opened and thought I'd left a review then. The place is large and a great set-up if you are lucky enough to require a place for a large gathering. The service is pretty good, and have had good staff wait and bring orders in a timely manner. The first time I came, my son insisted we try their pizza, which he liked. My husband and I, unfortunately, found the pizza to be a bit unsurprisingly typical. I had an assortment of cheese, which I believe is supposed to make Martin City stand out in the ubiquitous pizza market. What I will rave about is their prime brisket melt, which is quite possibly the main reason to come back. I oved the flavor and the melted cheese was gooey for a while after it was served.

It's All About Service For me it all started at the sinks of my uncle's diners. At 13 I was his chief dish washer. We would start every day that way, Later we would cover his catering jobs and I would hear that same mantra over and over. As I progressed up to fine dining restaurants I never forgot those words, It's all about Service! Tonight we decided on Martin City (in Lee's Summit) for a quick Sunday dinner. Our server was promptly at our table with menus and a welcoming smile. I ordered an Irish Coffee, and we went on from there. Side note here: I have tried ordering Irish Coffee in a number of local restaurants, one 4 times, and had to try to explain to a bartender how to make it at almost every one!. I brought that up to our server (just to get past all that) and she respectfully covered it with me! Amazingly, she brought me a true Irish Coffee perfectly made! About that time I asked how long she had been there and she said, "6 months" so I had to ask where she had worked before, "3 months at anther local restaurant." I was astounded! We talked for a few more minutes and realized she knew the bartender's capabilities, the strong points in the kitchen, and the details of all the menus! Needless to says the rest of the meal also went flawlessly. Phoebe was ahead of everything that happened. She had taken ownership of the table and assured everything was as we expected, and all with a genuine smile. Easily, very impressive service in pizza pub. My fragile ego aside, with continued support from management she will exceed my level of service on the tables (OK, the older I get the better I was). It was so refreshing to find talent like that less than 4 miles from home, I know we will be back in the future to bask in the glory of excellent service. Phoebe, you go girl!!

Wanted to check out the restaurant week options and have not been here for a long while. The bar was understaffed for the occasion and we did order the menu available for the special, which was meat balls, salad, and 8" pizza. We ended up sending the barbacoa pizza back as it was filled with a lot of oil and not much meat if any at all. Ended up with carne pizza which was ok. Unfortunately there wasn't anything that was a knock out of the park, was just ok. We felt bad the bar didn't have much help because she was running around with full intention but it was to keep up. If we go back we hope it's a better experience

Came here for lunch with my family. Loved the ambiance of the place, great for game day! The pizza was good with different options. Great brunch menu options as well. We plan to come back again.

Bar area. 2pm, pretty dead.

Staff friendly and helpful. One server plucked an orange section from the bar tray and began munching down on it. Kind of inappropriate. She could have stepped into an area where public can't view. Other than that low level deficit this is a stellar pizza place.

Breadsticks are great! Beer is always good.

Love this place. Always clean, and great service. Breadsticks and pizza are great. Caesar salad is really good and a great value to get a large and share. I would highly recommend steering clear of the wings. They are oven roasted and they don't get rendered so it leaves a slimy gross skin.

Loved this place. We easily dropped a C note between drinks, appetizers and dessert. Hubby ordered the brisket melt, salad and Caribbean jerk wings. I chose fig and arugula pizza. Everything was delicious. Also treated ourselves to turtle cheesecake and strawberry ice cream for dessert. Live music greeted us and the host asked if we wanted close? Preferred away from all that action although he was very good.

I was really impressed with Martin City Brewery! Our service was really great and the food was awesome too!! Definitely a laid back place to hang out with friends and watch the game.

Ask the Community - Martin City

Is there a private dining room?

I did not see one when I was there. They have 2 wings. One side has only tables and the other is a mix of communal tables, a bar, and regular tables.

Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. The Gilded Pear cocktail was delicious. The Key Lime Pie was exquisite. Lovely plating and scrumptious. I shared it with my husband PLUS we brought half of it home.

The one night recently, we had a friend in town and we had all got to talking at the house and forgotten to make dinner and it was after 9 o'clock. In Lee's Summit, your choices are limited for restaurants that are open later than that. So we opted to drive out to Iron Horse Bar and Grill. We got some onion rings that were as big as donuts and very tasty. The appetizer plate is huge; three of us couldn't eat it all. We then got a southwest salad with chicken and shared that. And I got the hot beef sandwich and Melissa suggested some garlic mashed potatoes with that. It was very delicious. The drinks were cold, but just OK. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed orange and mango mimosas, which were delicious and refreshing. On top of the great food and drinks, our waitress was excellent -- extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The customer service really made the experience even better. We also did a shot of the stonebreaker cinnamon whiskey, which was a really nice collab between fringe and another local distillery. Super smooth with an oaky flavor on the background. Most of my orders have been curbside pickup since it's right around the corner from my house, and the process has always been quick and seamless. Let me tell you about the Great Salmon Caper Sandwich. A soft, pillowy brioche bun, flaky grilled salmon, fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, topped with a creamy, tangy aioli. It is quite literally one of the best salmon sandwiches I've ever had. When I say I'll never get sick of this sandwich, I mean it. It's a genuine 10/10 and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The Cluckers are also excellent and come with an absurd amount of food. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces can sometimes be so large that the chicken-to-breading ratio feels a little off. Other than that, they're fantastic. The breading is seasoned perfectly, the chicken is juicy, and the price is extremely affordable for the portion size. The homemade honey mustard is also some of the best I've ever had and is easily my favorite dipping sauce on the menu. Wally's is one of those places that never disappoints. Fast service, affordable prices, generous portions, and consistently great food make it an easy recommendation.
