We have been coming here for the last year on and off. We haven't been in about 6 months. It has definitely flourished. The ambiance is great, the variety of drinks is fabulous, and the prices are good.

This is a great brewery if you have not been. The layout of the brewery is very clean and minimalist. They have whiskey as well and hold a lot of events. On certain days, there are discounts on whiskey and beer for events. They are great at making wild ales and stouts. I have had better IPAs and lagers to my palate but the other types of beer are really well done. You can also bring outside food to munch on while you try their menu. They have a decent selection and styles. Their outdoor patio is typically where we go when we bring out pup and the staff is very friendly and will bring a water bowl out for us. Overall a great clean atmosphere and something for everyone to enjoy .

This might be my new favorite local brewery, we came in on a random Saturday night and were pleased to see a local band was playing. And a show has me coming back every single time. I ended up trying the Pittem which is a Belgium style tripel, it was listed to have honey, champagne and baking spice. This is a very unique beer and I ended up getting two. I also ordered play date, which is a double IPA but it did not taste like an IPA whatsoever. It had tropical and melon notes, it really surprised me. There was also a food truck parked outside that you could order from and your food would be brought straight to your table. Hopefully they do more shows soon because I would love to go back soon and check out some more local music.

Enjoying a flight!

Started with a flight of 4 beers. Each was very different, but I enjoyed all of them. It's a nice open space.

We love trying out local breweries. Pathlight has been our list for long time and I am so glad that we stopped in. The space is great, there is plenty of seating for large or small groups. We sat on the couch which was a great spot next to the bar. I had the Foeder Saison Muscat and really enjoyed it. I love sours and this was definitely one of my favorites that I have had recently. We also had the Cold Hearted Blond. This was a coffee blond ale. I normally don't love coffee flavored beers but this one surprised me. It was light and very easy to drink. We plan on returning soon and highly recommend adding Pathlight to your must visit list!

Awesome brewery! They focus on iPAs and bottled sours (they have a wild ale program) but also have a good variety of other options. I'm not an IPA gal, so I appreciate this! Some of my favorites to date have been the bankers hours Amber, the 75th street abbey ale, and a mimosa sour. Another unique option they have is a slow pour! They usually have one option on tap, and while I don't totally understand the beer science, it makes for a foamy pour that I've generally found refreshing. Lots of great pop ups happen here too! We've loved Smoke n Seoul and Point and Flat BBQ! Solid patio space when the weather is nice! And the heaters will keep you plenty warm when it's not quite so warm! If you're into F1 racing, this is a great spot! We went for a bbq pop up on an F1 race day and the energy was incredible! We didn't stay long after finishing our food and beers to make rooms but it was cool to see the racing and crowd!

Writing this review on my second visit. First one, we sat outside on a cool summer night but this time was in the middle of winter. In spite of not being a beer drinker it usually doesn't prevent us from visiting brewing places. Most have a few cocktail options. Have to say extremely disappointed in their no cocktail options and only canned ciders. My Apple Chai local cider wasn't to my liking. The place was really busy in this friday evening. The decor is quite sterile. I'm guessing its the beer options is why others come here and give it high ratings.

Lobster rolls are the bomb!!! Totally worth the wait. Ecstatic they came to KC!! Bankers Hours amber lager paired well.

I won a gift card to Pathlight through a rescue auction a few months ago. Today seemed like the perfect day to go check it out. Pathlight offers a great atmosphere with plenty of room to stretch out, great service and great brews! I'll definitely be back!

BeerSauce Road Trip - Pathlight Brewing Pathlight Brewing is an absolute bright spot in the KC Craft Beer scene! Open for less than 1 year, several locals messaged us to stop by and see the light, and believe me, we're converted. The head brewer Tanner was eager to give us a full brewery tour explaining his in-depth unique approach to brewing and recipe development. We walked through his barreling room learning from the pro about saison, sour and grisette styles. Can't wait to have him lead a Beer School at BeerSauce Shop Kansas City! When you stop by Pathlight, make sure to try the Slow Pour handle off the side of the tap tower. You'll experience a smooth creamy head like craft beer was meant to have. Overall, we rate Pathlight Brewing at 5-stars! They're a fun, spacious, new spot to discover crafty flavors. Give 'em a shot to impress you.

The music theme lines the decor, with cassettes (remember those?) from all genres featured. Friction always has some of their own makings on tap as well as guest taps that can range from regional to national. The board will list the ABV for each beer, as well as the pour prices, and you can choose from anything between lighter ales to heavier stouts. I prefer the darker stuff and really love their 'Train in Vain', a brown ale with fabulous body. Don't miss their fresh-hopped varietals, such as the recent 'Earth & Sky', which gives you that right-off-the-trellis hoppiness. If you're not sure what you want, then the makers will always give you friendly suggestions. They're proud of their offerings and that pride comes through in the beer. Very tasty. Crunchy on the outside with a little heat and we asked for blue cheese to dip it in. Yum She ordered the lock, shock, and wrap. I ordered the Halloween town birria pork sandwich. They were both excellent. We ended up splitting it so we could try both. I liked them both, not sure which one I liked better. I liked that they made the wrap a little crispy on the outside. The waitress was very attentive and came by multiple times to make sure we were good and if we needed anything. I wish I wasn't so full because I would've ordered dessert. Next time. So we loaded up and showed up one day around Noon. Ambiance was really cool. It's in the middle of some sort of progressive looking shanty-esque suburb. The kind of place that does drag queen bingo. I was right at home. Inside was college sport bar, but with a nice, huge board on the wall of all their beer selection. It Was quite expansive. Service was top notch, too. Nice server took care of us, made sure our glasses were never empty. The food came out at a good clips, and we got an unexpected bonus of free little beignet-like donuts with some delicious dipping sauces. As for food, we started off with a jumbo order of the Truffle Parmesan Hand-Cut Fries for the table. We got to choose two from their extensive list of aioli dipping sauces. Fries were good. Dusted with the perfect amounts of truffle and parmesan. And the sauces were my oh my. I recommend paying the upcharge to just try them all. I mentioned the time earlier, because we had no idea we were stumbling upon their brunch menu. Even more options to choose from! I got the Crispy Waffle Smash Burger (smashed hertzog beef patties, fried egg, smoked bacon, merkt's cheddar, caramelized onion, maple aioli, crispy buttermilk waffle). This thing was really nice. Perfect waffle, not too small, not too big, and no oily or anything obtrusive. A nice bun option. Eggs and bacon sometime get lost against giant burger patties, but with these smash patties, the extra accoutrements really stand out and make this burger really stand out in my mind. I also for the try the Smokestack Burger (smoked burnt ends, smoked gouda, whiskey bbq glaze, pickle relish, chipotle aioli & crispy jalapeño straws). Uhhh, as you can read, this thing was loaded with goodness. Fatty burger, smokey burnt ends, sweet boozy glaze, acidic pickles, and texture from that jalapeno. This was the perfect burger. I insist you order this. Overall, my research did not reveal Beer Kitchen to me, locals recommendation did. Shows that you gotta use your street smarts instead of your book smarts sometimes. This location, their OG Biergarten and Bierhalle is my far my favorite thing about them though and has remained largely unchanged from when they opened all those years ago. You'll still find a German inspired space, warm with the smells of beer and pretzels, great German bar fare, and if you come on the right day some authentic live music. The best part though (IMO) is the biergarten to the side that is family friendly, and is one of the all time best patios in KC on a nice day.
