Came here for a girls' night out and the vibes were great. We had a large group, so we were assigned two servers, and both were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of without having to ask. I ordered the dragonfruit margarita, which was good, but I'd skip the salt on the rim next time and ask for sugar instead. The crab cakes were decent but could've been cooked a little longer. The mahi mahi was AMAZING the lemon butter sauce really made the dish. I had mashed potatoes and broccoli as my sides, and both were good, especially paired with the lemon butter sauce. Overall, a great experience and a good spot for a girls' night out or date night. Would definitely return. read more

Upon arriving, I knew the wait time was going to be horrible as far as service goes. You know it's bad when you hear a server apologizing to a customer about their wait time, due to a "22 person party" they had to cook for. Upon being seated, it took them forever to greet us, get our drinks, and to take our order. However, the food made up for the exceptionally long wait time. It was AMAZING! I had the entree brussel sprouts salad with salmon, and it was SO good. The salmon was freshly cooked, flaky, and very moist. The salad itself was great tasting, but I would recommend leaving off the glaze if you try it. Everyone else at my table also enjoyed their food. The restaurant itself wasn't too busy, but it was also football Sunday. The lighting was perfect, and it had a chill vibe. Our waiter was decent and was attentive to our needs. It did take him a while to get us our check when we were ready to leave, but that was a minor inconvenience. I am for sure going back another time. The food is worth the wait. And who knows, maybe it was just a fluke to wait that long. read more

We had a nice dinner here. We used to go to the Parkville, MO location, but it closed down awhile back. This location is nice and has great service. The food was delicious. We weren't crazy about the risotto unfortunately, had hoped it would be creamier and not such a strong flavor. The menu is huge and full of great choices. I'd recommend it for seafood and beyond. read more

This place is my go to/comfort place for affordable, great seafood. I have never been disappointed by the drinks or food. I sat at the bar which was covered by 2 bartenders who were friendly, attentive. I started with a seasonal martini and then switch to red wine for my dinner. Arrived 10 minutes before a 6:30 pm reservation. Reception desk asked if I wanted to sit in the bar area. Dining room area was half full so I said I would wait until 6:30 for dining room since I had a reservation. The individual at the desk said the wait staff couldn't accommodate more people in the dining room. I turned around and left and went to the Bristol instead. If they cant staff the restaurant at 6:30 pm they are in trouble. I won't be back. This location has struggled with many dying restaurants and looks like they may be adding Bonefish to the list soon. Find something else if you are considering this restaurant. read more

I've been to a bonefish grill before but 1st time at this one. Yesterday was their 25th anniversary so they gave a free bang bang shrimp app. As always, they were awesome. I ordered the fish and chips and fish was really good dipped in malt vinegar. Also had a side of Brussel sprouts. Flavor was good but they were very soggy. Wish they were a little more crispy. Stopped in for lunch at around 12:30, hoping to beat the lunch rush. To our surprise, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Our waiter, "Dillon," was prompt, very courteous, and helpful. He showed us the lunch specials, which were $14.90 and included a beverage, soup or salad, and a select entrée. We ordered two lunch specials. The lunch menu is only available Monday through Friday, 11 am to 3 pm. Unbeknownst to us, this came with a side of bread and olive oil. YEA!! I will definitely be back!! read more

This place in Overland park, in the shadow of a giant Church that looks like a Shuttle Launcher has been around for a long time (at least 10 - 15 years. Occasionally you will see Maseratis, Lamborghinis, and maybe Lotuses parked in the lot. Food is good (if sodium is not a concern) be it Fish, Shellfish, Steak etc. Pre meal free appetizer is bread with EVOO and some spices, which you can "kick up a notch" with S and P as an option. Poke Tuna bowl is a HUGE portion for small stomached folks like me, so prepare for copious left-overs. Bang Bang shrimp I recall being better "back in the day" but it's still a tasty appetizer. read more

We just don't go back. Rice was a ball of clump. Fish, mahi-mahi was dry/overcooked. Grouper was better. Asparagus was mushy, so overcooked. We left the server $30 tip on $122 bill. One of our favorite spots! Pretty nice place but casual enough to where you won't feel undressed if you don't feel like dressing to the nines. Nice low lighting that's great for a date night. My typical favorite is the bang bang shrimp tacos but I changed it up this time and went with the blackened fish tacos. Great flavor! No matter what, we ALWAYS get the imperial dip so I highly recommend this. On top of the good food, our service was friendly and great, which is typical in our experience here. read more

Edit: I got the requisite, stock 'reply' from BFG. Note that my review mirrors one by Judy C. who visited on the same night. Wow, what's happened here? Thishas been one of our go-to restaurants for years. We hadn't been all summer, so thought we'd go on a Friday night (10/17/25). My wife got the mahi with mango salsa, broccoli and rice. The fish was overcooked, dry and flavorless - thank goodness for the salsa. The rice, always good, was tremendously stodgy and clumped, just not good. I got the special that had udon noodles, crispy vegetables and shrimp. No issue with the shrimp, but I only had one bite. The udon noodles were so doughy I had to send the dish back. Since this was an Asian dish, vegetables were nowhere near crisp (fine, just don't write it that way on the menu). Our waiter was very gracious and did bring me another entree (trout - excellent). It took a while, and I specifically asked for sauteed spinach (knowing their broccoli is almost always too undercooked), but got the broccoli anyway. My rice turned out just like my wife's did. I ate the fish and the bread - that's it. I'd have to say this is likely the last visit for a long time. read more

We've been to Bonefish Grill many times and they have always been good. Tonight was different. Not sure if there was a new chef or the employees just didn't care. The food was cold and portions were tiny. We spent over $100 for wilted lettuce, undercooked rice, cold soup and overcooked fish and calamari. Maybe this was an off night but I don't think we will be back anytime soon. We would have been better off going to Red Lobster. Very disappointing for a place that prides themselves as having higher quality seafood. read more

I recently ordered the salmon special which included broccoli and fries and also a lemon cake. The salmon and fries were cooked nicely though I wasn't a fan of the topping they put on it but that's just my taste. The portions however were quite small. I am a 130 lb woman and it was enough for me but certainly wouldn't have been enough for a grown, or growing, man. The lemon cake deserves O stars. It was the most stale cake I'd ever received. I constantly get the feeling that restaurants are passing their worst on the take out customers who make up a large portion of their clientele. I'd already stop frequenting other restaurants because of their shrinking portion sizes which I why I decided to try Bonefish. Finally decide it's time to start leaving reviews.... My wife and. Had a 6:30 reservation at the leawood, Kansas location on Valentine's day. We arrived and checked in at 6:05. The entrance was crowded with more than 50 people, all with reservations. When we checked in we were told it would be an hour wait. At 7:30,, an hour and a half after we got there and an hour after our reservation, we tried calling other restaurants but they were booked because it was Valentine's day. We went back to the host and he said it would be another hour wait. Many others were just as disgusted as we were and left. The host tried to explain that many diners had finished eating but it would be inappropriate to ask them to leave. If this only involved a few guests who had to wait that might be an acceptable excuse, but there more than 50 people waiting. This was a clear case of overbooking and not anticipating that diners would take longer to leave. Personally, my wife and I have no intention to dine at bonefish grill ever again. For other diners who still want to take a chance -- with Easter and mother's Day coming up -- I would strongly suggest you make sure a backup reservation somewhere else so you're not disappointed and have eat at a fast food place instead. read more

Just walked in to buy a gift card and have drinks and apps. Sat at the bar. Nobody was at the hostess stand or the bar and they had been open for 2 hours. Went in on a Sunday evening during a Chiefs game. Service was excellent food was fantastic! We had the mussels appetizer-Amazing! I had the Cimchurri Bistro (I probably misspelled that) with fresh greenbeans and mashed potatoes and my wife had the chicken marsala. The steak bistro I savored every bite and my wifes marsala was pretty amazing as well!. Your next glass is always brought out before you are done. If there is a potential need you might have, the waiter or waitress will often times anticipate it and address it or ask you if they might help you with it ahead of time: for example an extra plate for a child. read more

Their bang bang shrimp was a recommendation from a friend, and it was amazing! It was so flavorful, and whatever sauce they put on it was really good. I had their Lily's chicken, with a side of cole slaw and Mac and cheese. The chicken was season and moist, and the cole slaw I felt could have been more creamy and sweeter. The Mac and cheese were really as cheese as I would like. The key lime cake was absolutely delish, I would definitely try the bang bang shrimp and key lime pie again. Our waiter was amazing. We went to celebrate a birthday early before theater on a Thursday evening at 4:40 p.m. We were seated in the bar area near the kitchen. The music and kitchen noise were both loud enough that we had difficulty hearing each other. When the waitress came I asked to be moved to the dining because the music & bar area noise was to loud. She sarcastically said, "I don't think so." I explained we couldn't hear each other. I told her it was a special occasion and would like to move to the dining room. There were about five tables all ready in the dining area and several servers around. She angrily grabbed our bread walked us to the dining room, handed me the bread and said "sit WHERE YOU WANT!" We were literally shocked. We had been to Bonefish numerous times that is why we chose it for this special occasion but never have we had this type of poor service. We ended up with a newer server who was great and the food was good. We spent over $100 dollars and certainly didn't expect leaving feeling being treated poorly by one waitress. read more

We do love their food and burgers - dine in that is, but why oh why when you ask for the burger toppings on the side, they put them in the same container with the wet lettuce piled on the bottom bun and the hot burger pilled on top of the tomato and onion in effect cooking them??? How about a separate container??? This happens every time my wife orders out and since it travels a long way to our house it's pretty much mush when it gets here, much less if it sets as we can't get it right away! read more

Wonderful service and great ambiance. We were seated immediately upon entry...and enjoyed the kiddie menu with crayons (the bread and olive oil was delish). Ordered several items and everything tasted great. Steak and lobster was a 10/10-perfectly cooked steak and the lobster was a 10/10. Mahi-mahi and shrimp was also cooked to perfection. 10/10 Mac and cheese was tasty for our baby girl. 10/10 Special dessert-pumpkin lava cake add vanilla ice cream was a great ending to a wonderful meal.
