Tried the Texas Benny which was really good. The gravy was tasty but the potatoes weren't seasoned or salted. Also tried the Denver scrambler. I ordered with breakfast potatoes but ended up getting hash-browns but besides that it was good. They did fully butter my bread when I would've wanted the option on how much to apply. Also tried their horchata which didn't have as much cinnamon as I'm used too but still super yummy. There weren't many people here on a Sunday at 9 but they seemed to be running around while having one big party. We ordered online for pickup and got there a little early. We called to let them know we'd arrived--no rush. Our order came out pretty quickly, though another employee had to run out with something that was left out. About five minutes into the drive home, the restaurant called again--another item had been forgotten. I turned around and called when I got back. They offered a free drink, which we declined. At that point, the food was already cooling off, and we still had a 10-minute drive ahead, so waiting around for drinks didn't seem worth it. Mom got the Eggibirria Omelette and really liked it. I tried a bite and thought it was good too. A little too "wet" for me, but that's just personal taste. Now, about my order: The Mamba Burrito. It was big, and the spinach cheese dip was actually really good--though some of it leaked into the bag during our trips. My main issue is with the burrito itself. The menu says it's filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chorizo, pico de gallo, and potatoes, topped with spinach cheese dip. That's not quite how I'd describe it. Honestly, it should say: "A giant flour tortilla filled with potatoes (and a few other things if you dig around enough)." The potatoes weren't just part of the mix--they were the mix. The eggs were barely noticeable, buried in what felt like a mountain of spuds. Bacon showed up in a few random flakes. The sausage and chorizo were there, but the chorizo was not a flavor I enjoyed and I usually love chorizo. And the pico? Maybe a spoonful, tops. To be blunt, I think I could've ordered two full-sized baked potatoes and still ended up with less potato than what was packed into that burrito. It was just too much--overwhelming and totally out of balance. I'm not saying I'd never go back; sometimes a place deserves a second shot. Not too many breakfast places in the area with a Mexican flair so if you're into that, check this place out! They offer a huge menu, so there is plenty to try regardless of what you're feeling. We were seated quickly, but it took a long time for the food to come out despite it being fairly empty. The staff was nice and got all of the orders correct. The ambiance was a highlight - very homey. Each of the breakfast options we ordered was mediocre. They were reasonably priced, so definitely nothing to complain about, but don't expect the most authentic or flavorful Mexican breakfast. The non-Mexican biscuit sandwich was the best meal on the table. I got the breakfast enchiladas. They were a little bit confusing to eat with a serving comprised of just two enchiladas on a giant plate of watery sauce, but they tasted good and the eggs were well cooked. We went for Saturday morning breakfast and were seated in the nearly empty event space next door, rather than the nearly empty main restaurant dining area. The room was empty except for one table and we were seated directly next to them . The menu does not match the menu posted on the website (not just price-wise, but also for food offerings). Our server had a bit of a language barrier taking our order. The food didn't take very long to come out thankfully. The cheesy egg skillet I ordered with green chili pork added was great until I got to the bottom and it tasted like a salt bomb went off. With so many breakfast places to choose from this really does not stand out from the crowd. I came here with a large group and we had a private-ish area. The food was about the same as I would find at any other breakfast place in the area. They do offer a large variety. I had the corned beef hash and it was good. The service was just ok. Some of the best food I've eaten out in a while! The service by JoJo was fantastic! She was friendly & helpful with recommendations. She even brought out a BIG bowl of ice water for my friend's doggos The Pork Verde Chile was SO delicious! I even ordered a bowl to take home for another meal. My friend was thrilled with all the GF options and loved her Banana Crunch Pancakes (GF)!! My husband's Oatmeal bowl with fresh fruit & nuts was plated beautifully. Everything that should've been hot was hot & cold was cold. All around just a perfect breakfast on a dog friendly patio, on a perfect sunny day. I stopped in this semi-hidden treasure to celebrate a Special Birthday breakfast & I'm glad I did. I loved it! The food was good, fresh & served piping hot. I don't always get this...lukewarm is sometimes my experience so I was Uber happy about it. The restaurant was not crowded & there was adequate room for social distancing which is still very much a concern of mine (Covid remains present & is STILL affecting people everywhere). The waitress was pleasant & attentive as well as the cook who surprised us by coming out and over to greet us & make sure everything was on point (this doesn't happen often, besides in times like these, what cook/chef really has/takes time to greet customers?) Called to place a carry out order. I ordered the chicken fried chicken scrambled eggs hash browns and a walnut pecan pancake. Upon placing my order I asked for the gravy to be on the side. The lady stated my order back to me and told me my total. As I was heading up there I had remembered that I spent $26 tip included so there was no way my order was $25 because it was the same thing. Part of the reason I returned was due to the great service and food my friend and I had just days prior. But I guess you can't hit a place twice in one week and expect the same treatment because whew. This time around service was horrible. When I arrived, there was no one in the restaurant, I asked to see the receipt she showed it to me and I explained it should have only been an additional $2 for the pancake. She says," oh well the system did it...." Another girl comes over and changes it. 21.80. So either everyone rings things in different or someone is trying to get over because I specified 1 pancake over the phone. I pay her head home and to my amazement not only is the gravy smeared on everything I go to take a bite and it's chicken fried steak. Hmmmm now I know I was extremely clear on the chicken fried chicken order , gravy on the side because I don't like soggy food and I don't eat red meat or pork. Called back up to the store explained my order was wrong and I had drove pretty far. Her response, " you don't have to be rude." I actually kinda do because you had one job to do take my order correctly. I mean how hard is it to write someone order down so that it's not incorrect it's not like you a waitress or anything. Oh but wait you are. So to get home after driving in 12 degree weather for this breakfast your mouth has been watering for is a prime reason to be upset. I just brought them back the order got my money and asked to speak to the manager. Which she went back and I guess he didn't want to be bothered because she returned with the he's not in lie. I bet lol no one what's to take accountability, retrain the employees, or even care if the customers are satisfied it makes sense to not want to face that battle. But I won't be back. Our family has been eating here for years and had always found it good. Not as good as others, but close to home and plenty of options for our family of seven to be as happy as five teen/preteen boys can be. After not going in for a few months, we decided it was the place today. We arrived at 10:22, and were seated within a couple minutes. Seventeen minutes later (I'm a clock watcher), we were finally greeted busy our server who seemed surprised we were ready to order more than our food. At 11:32 we got the first four orders. The fifth came out about two minutes later. The sixth five minutes after that and the seventh at 11:46. As far as the actual quality of the food, it was disappointing. The two orders of biscuits and gravy were congealed. The waffle was soft and spongy, not crisp. The pancakes were prepared without any care as on one order the chocolate chips were all dumped together in one quarter of pancake. The over use of powered sugar didn't add anything to the pancakes other than unnecessary sweetness which I'd prefer came from the syrup. The hollandaise sauce was a thick seized up mess on top of watery poached eggs. The potatoes were served very undercooked. The hash browns had been only cooked on one side, leaving the bottom soggy. The one item I felt was acceptable would be the bacon." After observing tables around us and having a few conversations with the two tables to the side of us, it was a restaurant management issue. The two servers in our room felt unconcerned about the tables and just avoided them as much as possible, mover one bringing a refill for any table that we witnessed. When asked about food by any table, they kept repeating the same line of "it's just really backed up, but I'll rush your order". Thank you for rushing half the orders of the table of sweet elderly folks next to us after they had placed their order fourty-five minutes before. When my wife went to use the restroom, she observed an angry door dash driver and an abundance of togo orders. Our take is that they have over extended the kitchen staffs capacity to pump out fully cooked food and since the in-store customers are already in their seats, they are the ones who suffer since the effort to leave and find another option is more of a hassle. We won't be back, which is sad because of the location and previous experiences were positive. Clearly it is a mismanagement of space and resources. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to not sacrifice long term loyalty from dine in customers for the short term online sales. Also, the kitchen is not large and the kitchen staff not fast enough to handle the expanded size of the space now. Too many tables that cannot be properly taken care of in a timely manor. read more

The last two times we have been there (Sept 2024) and today, the service and food quality have drastically declined. The server was terrible - he didn't understand the menu, e.g. whether a particular dish came with potatoes or beans, and seem to have no interest in getting our order right, and of course, none of our dishes were correct. The toppings were totally missing from my son's breakfast as were some of mine, the waiter brought syrup for our biscuits even though we asked for honey 3 times and my husband's food was totally undercooked - potatoes were white, not brown; eggs undercooked, corned beef hash was watery. Unfortunately they forgot the biscuit until I asked about it. The meat was a bit dry, you should probably shred it up and mix it with the pool of sauce that comes with the dish. The sauce was also a bit on the salty side, but it's fine when you mix stuff together and eat it with the hash browns. This is such a great place to grab breakfast! The restaurant itself is very cute and homey. Our waiter, Diego, did a great job with making sure we always had what we needed. The menu itself is a 10000/10, it was so hard to choose what to eat! They have conventional breakfast items as well as more Mexican-American breakfast items. We've been to the breakfast spot twice. The first time we got out early and it was a great experience. The second time, we got going late and they were very busy and struggling a bit. I'm leaning this review closer to the first experience since I'm hoping they can build their staff to handle crowds better. Our first time, we started off with their cinnamon roll biscuit. I highly recommend this, as it's really delicious. I had the B&G, which had fluffy biscuits and good sausage gravy. Their breakfast potatoes were well done and flavorful. The wife got a chorizo frittata that she liked a lot as well. The service was very nice and helpful. Definitely in our top five "American breakfast" stops in the metro, since they have offerings that both cater to my wife's healthier leanings and my love of diner classics. Our second time, they were obviously stressed with a full house. The hostess had to help bus a table to get us seated, which we appreciated. The servers were buzzing about, but we only saw two and they were obviously busy. My wife's food got switched up in the kitchen, and they were very apologetic and offered to fix it for us. My biscuits and gravy were good again, but looked like they had been sitting a bit before they came out. Overall, we really enjoy their food and will be back again. As they're still relatively new I'm hopeful that they can get rush hours figured out, especially with the kind service and great work ethic of the workers they have currently. read more

My dine-in breakfast experience was good, with areas for improvement. The "basic breakfast" special included two eggs any style, hash browns or potatoes, and biscuit or toast for $5.49. It was served with a smile, fresh and hot (the food, not the smile), in just three minutes. The potatoes were surprisingly good (not greasy, flavorful, not salty) with a generous portion size. The eggs and biscuit were also good. Unfortunately, the wait for the check was excessive. Only two somewhat stressed waitresses were working diligently to cover the restaurant. I was happy that I arrived during an off-peak time. Also, menu prices were higher than the prices posted on-line. The dining area was clean and nice, with pleasant background music, and a patio. Nothing special. By the way, I keep wondering why kitchens always insist on making pancakes that are as big as the plate. If you have even a introductory knowledge of how things get hot, you should know that if something is over a half inch thick in the middle and only a quarter inch thick on the edges, there is no way to cook it evenly using the same amount of heat under the whole thing. It's not just this place but seems to be every where these days. You can get the edges good and the middle wrong or you can get the middle good and the edges hard as a rock. I had some today and I could not penetrate the edges with my fork. Come on already just make normal size food the right way instead of trying to show off and getting it wrong. read more
