Orange Juice
Karina O.

My husband and I stumbled upon this breakfast spot on a Sunday morning since it was close to our hotel in Overland Park. The place was byustling, and we were so glad we discovered it. It felt like a local hidden gem for us out-of-towners. The staff did an amazing job turning tables quickly so everyone could be seated without much wait. The restaurant itself had a cozy, homey atmosphere that made it even more inviting. We both ordered the Flapjacks Specials. I ordered the #3 which came with french toast and my husband ordered the #1 which came with flapjacks. We loved that the specials came with a little cup of orange juice alongside the meal, which was a nice touch. Everything we tried was delicious, and we left impressed. I'd definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area again!

Service was excellent and we got our food so incredibly fast! Food was so delicious and homemade hollandaise sauce was some of the best I've had! Will definitely be coming here again to try new things!

Corned Beef Hash and Eggs

The owner, George, is incredibly friendly. I even saw him help an elderly gentleman by guiding his arm into his jacket sleeve when he was struggling. Throughout our meal, George checked on us regularly, as did our waitress. Despite it being a busy Sunday, the service was exceptionally attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash, which came with two pancakes, eggs of choice ( i ordered scramble with cheese), and hash browns. It was the perfect portion, but the star of the meal was definitely the corned beef hash--freshly made and delicious. This place came highly recommended, and now I see why! We all left full and happy.

Chicken and Waffle

The food was great and they had nice waiters. I would go there again anytime. Favorite item is chicken and waffles

Stumble upon this hidden gem by accident. It is now one of my favorite brunch spot. The brunch selection is incredible! We came on the day after Thanksgiving. It was packed but we were quickly seated. The dining room is clean with cute signs on the wall. The food came out hot and fast. Biscuit and gravy is a must for me. Really great portion. One of the best I've ever had. I cannot stop raving about it. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!!!

Loved this place. The breakfast was better than lunch in my opinion. Had the omelette and it was incredible, flapjacks were also really great. Split an Italian beef with my brother and it was okay, lacked some flavor. Great service and prices though, I will definitely be back!

Biscuits and Gravy

Good service. Ok food. But lord there is no temperature control. It was so hot in there. We almost couldn't stand it. Also...not my vibe. Seemed more for the after church crowd even though I was there on a Saturday.

French Toast Fruit

A more traditional diner setting than the other trendy brunch spots in Leawood, but great flavors and the hashbrowns were a true standout

They absolutely have the processes of this little restaurant honed to perfection, and even during a busy lunch time kept things humming so that there was minimal wait time (to order, for the food to be brought out, and to pay for our meal). Many, MANY thanks to Robert, who seated us, took our order, brought our food out, and settled our bill. He was friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. It was a joy to watch him work; he made sure to greet each and every customer coming in the door, and was consistently so upbeat and positive. And many, MANY thanks to Tony at the grill! Our food was FANTASTIC!! I have high standards for Mediterranean food, and the falafel wrap was totally delicious! The falafel itself was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer, and the other ingredients in the wrap were chosen for a perfect melding of flavors. I had the side salad, with homemade Thai peanut dressing, and it was equally tasty. My husband had the patty melt, which came on homemade bread (!) and was, per his report, perfectly done. His side was tater tots, and we shared them. They were crisp and light without being greasy, and addictively yummy! The restaurant is in a strip center; it's not very big, but the tables are well placed so that no one feels cramped. The open reception area and kitchen/grill make it easy for the staff to respond to what's happening in the dining room (e.g., new folks arriving). It was a truly memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back! Again, MANY thanks to Robert and Tony for such a great lunch. We appreciate you!

The western omelet was really good, plenty of cheese. Their hashbrowns had a nice crisp to them/ their sourdough toast was buttered and very crispy, I really enjoy a good slice of sourdough. The burrito was also really good, packed full. Chose chorizo as the meat and it was very tasty. Also tried the lemon ricotta pancakes which were the perfect amount of sweet and zest. They're regular pancakes topped with a raspberry sauce and lemon zest. I would definitely come back but aim for an outdoor seat.

First time here and loved!…read more Here's what I ordered: Food: Salsa Verde Pork and Eggs- I cleaned my plate, no shame. The cilantro was super fresh, the pork was flavorful, and the potatoes tied it all together perfectly. Portion size was just right and the price felt fair for what you get. Coffee: Did the job, nothing fancy, but no complaints! Service: Fast and friendly, this place is cute and clean! Met up with friends for a brunch/lunch and this place was hoppin', service was still quick. This is a great mid work day sit-down lunch spot!

On this last visit I got the West Coast Omelet (bacon, onions, tomatoes, and cheese topped with a couple of avocado slices). It comes with a side of rosemary potatoes and an English muffin. I swapped the muffin for a biscuit. I had forgotten their biscuits are more similar to a cross between cornbread and cake. I'd prefer just a regular biscuit even though their style of biscuit is interesting. The omelet and biscuit was large. The rosemary potatoes are delicious and I'd have loved to have a bit more of them. I really enjoyed the omelet as well! I had to take about half of the omelet and biscuit to go. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I think there dishes tend to be a bit more sweet and while I love sweet, if I'm eating savory, I'm picky about the sweetness. I think that is a personal preference and I'm sure some people love it. My server was Kat (Katerina) and she was great. Very patient and helpful. She happened to be my server both times I've been there! The restaurant is very clean with a comfortable, welcoming environment. It's always nice to see their messages of kindness. We could use a lot more of that these days! Cruelty seems to be in fashion now. It's refreshing to go somewhere promoting kindness! I'd go back just for that bit the service is outstanding and the food is really good!

This spot is owned by the same team behind Kate's Kitchen up north--which I've always found fantastic--and I'm happy to report this location is on that same elite wavelength. The Experience: The atmosphere is clean and impressively airy, making for a great morning vibe. Both the hostess and server were exceptionally engaging, even providing a personal water pitcher for the table--a small touch that makes a huge difference. The Food: Chicken Fried Chicken: This is the real deal. It was clearly prepared fresh, not frozen, which is a rarity these days. The Sides: The home potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the gravy was thick, peppery, and hit all the right notes. The Biscuit: This "super-sized" biscuit was essentially the icing on the cake. The Eggs: I ordered my eggs poached soft. They arrived a bit too soft (runny yolk was the goal, but these were just under), though in fairness, that's likely on me for the specific request! Verdict: If you want a breakfast that feels home-cooked with high-quality ingredients and attentive service, this is the place. I'll definitely be back for their famous French toast and medium poached eggs .

The yolk should run and these didn't. Not the end of the world, but when you cooks eggs all day it would have been nice to have them not overcooked. It tasted ok. The corned beef was good and I would get that again, but not on a benny. The hollandaise was ok but a bit bland. I was expecting some lemon flavor and that tangy kick but it was super mild. It was fine just not to my liking. My wife got a breakfast quesadilla and it was stuffed full and was better than mine. I had a bite and it was pretty flavorful but we did have to pay extra for sour cream which was weird, but whatevs. The place has a lot of signs inside. Not sure what i make of it but there were enough of them that we both noticed. Our server was good but a bit quirky. For instance, she sat us and as we were sitting down she asked if we knew what we wanted. Not rude or anything like that we just thought, hmmm that was interesting. We told no we needed to look at the menu and it was all fine. I just think she had a quirky personality, nothing off putting. We kind of laughed about it and went on. More of a story than anything else that we talk about and get a kick out of. Overall the place was ok. We would come back if we were close around that area and hungry but we probably wouldn't drive across town to eat there.
