    Corned Beef Hash and Eggs
    Darryon W.

The owner, George, is incredibly friendly. I even saw him help an elderly gentleman by guiding his arm into his jacket sleeve when he was struggling. Throughout our meal, George checked on us regularly, as did our waitress. Despite it being a busy Sunday, the service was exceptionally attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash, which came with two pancakes, eggs of choice ( i ordered scramble with cheese), and hash browns. It was the perfect portion, but the star of the meal was definitely the corned beef hash--freshly made and delicious. This place came highly recommended, and now I see why! We all left full and happy.

Loved this place. The breakfast was better than lunch in my opinion. Had the omelette and it was incredible, flapjacks were also really great. Split an Italian beef with my brother and it was okay, lacked some flavor. Great service and prices though, I will definitely be back!

Stumble upon this hidden gem by accident. It is now one of my favorite brunch spot. The brunch selection is incredible! We came on the day after Thanksgiving. It was packed but we were quickly seated. The dining room is clean with cute signs on the wall. The food came out hot and fast. Biscuit and gravy is a must for me. Really great portion. One of the best I've ever had. I cannot stop raving about it. Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!!!

Good service. Ok food. But lord there is no temperature control. It was so hot in there. We almost couldn't stand it. Also...not my vibe. Seemed more for the after church crowd even though I was there on a Saturday.

I came here on a Sunday morning with some friends. They were busy as most breakfast restaurants are on Sunday mornings but they were able to squeeze us in fairly quickly which was nice. We were greeted right away by both the hostess and waiter. We asked what the best items were and with those recommendations, we got French toast with strawberries, coffee, an omelette, and eggs Benedict. They all came out fresh and hot and tasted great. I asked for my hash browns to be crispy and they were able to do that for me. Nothing was elevated with unique ingredients, but all solid and tasted great! I would definitely come back here to try more of their menu items. The atmosphere felt casual and clean.

A more traditional diner setting than the other trendy brunch spots in Leawood, but great flavors and the hashbrowns were a true standout

Was given a table and specials menu, which had amazing options. I chose pastrami with sweet potato fries. I must tell you that my choice was outstanding. It was delicious greasy, and the meat was so tender and flavorful with the mustard sauce. The fries were crispy and soft from inside. The spicy oil was great. A friend of mine took catfish which I felt was great too. It's a beautiful restaurant family owned great ambience very nice service courteous people. Went there for dinner last night to celebrate a birthday…read more We had the shrimp scampi and the pork chop. Both main courses were excellent. The scampi had a generous portion of good size shrimp. The pork chop was very thick and large yet was very flavorful and tender. The pork chop came with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. However, in looking over the menu I saw they had a variety of sides. I asked if I could change me sides, which they were more than glad to do. I got the carrots and the cornbread. The carrots were delicious and there was a lot of them. The cornbread tasted good but was a little dry. Next time I would stay with the carrots but try something else. As I said the pork chop was very big and I took about half of it home. When I placed my order the waiter asked if I wanted to order a second pork chop, which I passed on. However, next time I may take him up on the offer and have an additional one to take home. All around I give it 5 stars. Also, we asked about desert. There was no desert menu nor a desert tray to help us make a decision. The waiter did rattle off the desert options, however this was kind of busy to follow. A desert menu or try would certainly go a lot further, as far as we are concerned. In summary, the food was outstanding, the service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I tend to be a bit weary of chain restaurants. I have to say though, this one had a really nice vibe and I get why people like it here. First of all, it's a nice restaurant with elevated vibes. It reminded me of places I used to go with my grandparents as a kid. It had great service, comfortable seating, and a nice menu. If anything it just feels like it caters to an older crowd - nothing wrong with that, just not my usual vibe. For brunch that day I had the migas and it was really great. Tons of food, and I easily made two meals out of my lunch. Something to note about the menus though is that they don't have a kids menu. They did share items for kids that they have on hand, but no physical menu to look at so not sure the prices or anything. Our daughter had a hamburger and she loved it so that was a win. One plus was she was able to get a side of fruit instead of fries, which was a win for her since she has declared that she only likes McDonald's french fries these days. Overall this is a nice sit restaurant with table service that has an elevated and sophisticated vibe. Likely geared towards older generations but younger folks will find plenty to enjoy here as well.

My fiancé was craving a steak, so when I saw J.Alexander's had a Trout Almondine on the menu, we had to go. Our drinks took a while to come out, but it was a weekend dinner and the place was pretty packed. Our server was kind and apologetic. The drinks were a little strong so for the second round we switched to beers. My fiancé ordered the Prime Rib. It doesn't list it on the menu but it comes in a variety of sizes, all the way up to 32oz! He ordered the 20 and was very happy with how it came out. I was so happy with every part of my entree. The trout, broccoli, and couscous were all perfect. The portion sizes were huge, so we probably didn't need the Caesar salads to start. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn after I left. I accidentally left my Ray-Ban sunglasses on the table. I understand that was my mistake--accidents happen--but I've since called back twice to check if they were turned in and was told they were not. That's honestly pretty disheartening. It's frustrating to think that instead of being turned into lost and found, someone may have taken them. While I enjoyed my time there, this definitely left a bad impression. Just a heads up to others--be mindful of your belongings, as it seems like lost items may not always make their way back.
