Dear Donna makes for the perfect weekend brunch. Small but mighty menu, we had the breakfast sandwich, French fries, and fried chicken Dutch baby. Wow, so good! An ideal breakfast sandwich, but the real winner was the fried chicken Dutch baby. No further explanation needed! Great spot and can't wait to come back.

I'll be honest, I didn't know this restaurant existed until a friend brought me for lunch. It is such an adorable restaurant. You order at the counter and then they bring your food/drink. We came right during the lunch hour and lucked out finding a table for our party of 4. We ordered the best salad to split and then I ordered the meatloaf sandwich for my meal. The beat salad was really good. Beets were nicely cooked and the whipped ricotta added nice textural contrast. I could eat this salad every day. The meatloaf sandwich was phenomenal. The meatloaf was tender and juicy. I would maybe prefer a different bread as it did get soggy and hard to hold on to towards the end. But overall such a good lunch. Definitely give this place a try!

I had the best breakfast sandwich of my life here last week! I miss the old Happy Gillis menu because of the biscuits and gravy, but Dear Donna makes up for it with their delicious breakfast sandwich. Service was order and pay at the counter but still friendly and helpful! It was clean, small and quaint with a nice atmosphere. So cute.

I had a great time at Dear Donna getting lunch with my friend! It's so cute inside, albeit kind of small! We ordered at the counter and they brought us out our food. The staff were friendly and service was fast. I had the egg sandwich with cheddar, hash brown & secret sauce and added shoulder bacon. It was seriously SO good. Great brunch spot and plan to be back.

So amazing small busy. Very loud but I would come back. On street parking and seems like a good place to grab a breakfast sandwich to go

What was left of my share of the Dutch baby, meatloaf, and egg sandwiches.

Next time Icome into town, I want to try their potato rancheros. All staff was amazing, and even told us about how some of their specials came about. The food came out fast and fresh. The parking can be a little tricky because it is shared with other businesses. They are open Monday Tuesday Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Sunday from 7 AM to 2 PM. Can't wait to go back!

My wife and I popped in here on a whim many visits ago and it's been one of our go-to brunch places since. Service is always great (albeit sometimes dishes can take a while to come out - but well worth it in my opinion). Food is awesome. I love their cinnamon-y coffee. Do yourself a favor and come back lots of times and run down the menu of the more traditional fare - it's all delicious.

For the first time ever I used McLain's for catering and I'm officially bumping my review from 4 to…read more5 stars because honestly they did such a spectacular job at such a reasonable price I'm already wishing I had another excuse to order from them again! A few months ago my sister and I hosted a baby shower for our other sister and after looking around an options we decided to go with McLains. It was a smaller group, and we were doing a brunch theme, and our sister LOVES sweets. That paired with our desire to support local, and our shared love of McLains, this was just the most obvious choice. We ended up ordering a cake and first of all I have to say their cake flavor choices are insane - I think we settled on a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling (YUM), but I don't think you can go wrong here. We also ordered one of their pre-set pastry bundles for pick up and honestly everything was wonderful. I think I placed the order about a week out and it was ready when I came to pick it up. What pushed this experience into five star category for me? Just the friendliness of the staff, the serving tools they send you home with, and how thoughtful everyone was. The food was also really just exactly what we needed and it was so good there were hardly any leftovers, I think the kids cleared us out by lunch! At any rate, if you're on the hunt for a great spot to support for your next brunch event consider McLains - they won't let you down!

We were welcomed with a brief overview of the company and treated to a sparkling matcha limeade on the patio. Following this we were treated to a fantastic sandwich and beverage pairing. The diced chicken was marinated in Coca Cola and cold brew then served on toasted fresh made bread with house made bbq sauce and veggies. Then paired with a cold brew mixed with Coca-Cola and topped with a cherry-vanilla cold top. Phenomenal. Just as incredible was the bakery case. After a tough decision making process, I took home a cookie, Lemon Goat Cheesecake, and blueberry pop-tart. The cheesecake and poptart were best I've ever had in each category and the cookie that I didn't even get a taste of, was declared "the best damn cookie I've ever had" by my wife. Two days later she is still talking about it. With the welcoming and friendly owner and staff, the creative and top tier products, and a cool environment; I'm all in for frequent trips from the Northland to Brookside for further exploration.

The biscuit sandwich was oozing with cheese and sauce so I ended up cutting into it with a fork and knife. The pear compote had an apple pie filling vibe to it, which was almost too sweet for me even though it went well with the salty smoked ham. The nutty bitterness from the fontina added a little bit too much contrast for me. This would be a good choice for people who like sweet and salty things. Overall, each component was tasty, but this particular sandwich wasn't exactly my preferred taste! The oat milk latte was good! Nice and foamy with a good amount of bitterness from the espresso. I was curious about their huge pastry case and would love to try those in the future.
