Stumbled upon Jerry's Cafe today. Service was great and food was great! I'm soo picky taste wise for gravy-it didn't disappoint!! Sooo good. We ordered the French toast à la cart and the ham and eggs plate with a side of gravy for our biscuit that was included. Coffee was perfect, not weak or too bold. Service was great!! Went here for an early breakfast and ordered a half order of the Big John, and subbed in the corned beef hash. Even for a half order, the portion size is plenty big. The coffee was hot and fresh, and I didn't feel the need to add cream or sugar, so that was a plus. They forgot the CBH and quickly fixed the problem. I didn't really have a problem with anything about this venue, it was not anything spectacular either though. I definitely got the feel of a "Mom & Pop" neighborhood diner, which I appreciated. Our waitress was friendly and dropped by to check on us occasionally, so I never needed to flag her down. It was not crowded at all, but I have feeling this place has regulars. read more

I had the carnivore Burger with fries, I ordered the burger medium rare and it was cooked perfectly with great flavor it had a couple strips of thick cut bacon and a fried hard egg exactly how it was ordered. The fries were thick cut natural potatoes and were fantastic. The servers were friendly and polite. It is a typical diner setting and was clean with adequate seating. Here's the thing... when Jerry's is good, it is awesome. Breakfast, lunch -- both can be great . The consistency is the problem. If you order within an hour, hour and a half before they close? I came here several months ago, and had forgotten to leave my review. This place was memorably good, as far as both food and service. The only reason my and my family came here was because I had a restaurant.com certificate for this restaurant, but had found out there was some error between restaurant.com and this place. Regardless, we ordered our food. My husband had a standard breakfast, and enjoyed his food. I had a very tasty West Coast Omelet, but the most impressive was my son's "Smokin Ring" hamburger. Breakfast with the hospice team. This is a tiny restaurant. Has an old time home town feel. Cute murals on the wall. Clean restrooms. I greatly enjoyed my bacon and eggs. Coffee cups are assorted and all different. Remind me of all those mugs we get gifted but then later donate to charity. Coffee was good. The hasbrowns are very thin (about the thickness of angel hair pasta) and crisp. I like them. One of my coworkers didn't. Another coworker ordered a cinnamon roll and it looked delicious. We were recommended this hole in the wall by multiple people (including a waitress at another breakfast joint!) and were very disappointed. You walk in and no-one greets you and there is a little sign that says wait to be seated. We finally get the attention of a waitress and it turns out that the notebook titled "Waitlist" is there for you to add yourself to it. How they expect newcomers to know this, I have no idea. Service is incredibly slow and it felt like we are bothering them by asking questions. I ordered a basic breakfast with eggs (over medium), bacon (asked for extra crispy), toast or biscuit (opted for biscuit) and hash browns (subbed for grits). When our food was brought to the table it was sans biscuit and grits. I was told they were on the way and I didn't receive them until I was 3/4th through the eggs and bacon. Which the eggs were perfectly cooked but the bacon was severely undercooked. Turns out that the biscuits are prepackaged and just heated (so I don't understand the delay there) and the grits are served scalding (I was able to get a couple bites but took the rest to go). Two of our party of four ordered the french toast (which was recommended by our waitress) and felt it was weak. Challah break dipped in custard, not soaked so you were left with a bready taste. So really, just some subpar french toast. Oh and then our syrup was leaking out of the sides of the cap so our bottle was just covered in sticky syrup! The vibe was just amateur and the food and service followed suit. With all the breakfast places in the area, I will not be returning. read more

Well, the first time i wanted the 12 oz ribeye and eggs, but they were out (1088) of steaks...so I went with the "big John"....full order. It was delicious! Every was friendly, even though we were wearing Bengals jerseys. The staff were so friendly and joked with us the whole time. The food... just wow. Chicken fried steak: well seasoned, tender, and so so good. Biscuits and Gravy: the gravy was perfect and the biscuits were fluffy. Bacon: this is real bacon! Thick, crispy, and a huge serving of it. We stopped in for late breakfast. They weren't busy and there was a winter storm in progress or incoming at least so we sat for a while while both servers stood and watched TV. It took awhile to get our order placed (a pancake and side of bacon for each of us). It seemed to take a long time to get the food considering we were the only customers who weren't already eating. The bacon was really good. The pancakes were good but a little tough. The blueberry pancake was better than the plain one. They put the huge pancakes on a tiny plate which makes it hard to maneuver. They don't give you enough syrup. Our server started cleaning and visiting with other customers so we asked the other server for a box. She never brought it. Finally the original server brought our check over and we were able to get the box and pay. The food was fine. The service was okay, but I'm not sure any of the experience would make me crave a return visit. read more

This is a diner, so my five stars are in that context. Most reviews involve breakfast. Let me tell you about lunch. We went for the tenderloin. It was large, nice thickness, and well seasoned. Today, it was $9.95 with fresh cut fries. The surprise was the Italian steak, also $9.95. It was not on the menu but I saw it on the white board. It was the same pork loin as the tenderloin but with Italian breading. It came with fries and a bowl of tomato sauce. I like it better than the tenderloin. The service was good, refilled drinks without asking, just the right amount of attention. My only complaint was I was too full for desert. read more

Daaannnng. I like this place a lot. I just ordered the bacon and eggs. It came with 4 strips of bacon. 2 were crispy 2 were chewy. Eggs were what they were. Made the way I ordered so that was fine. Wifey had the half order of French toast and she like it. As lunch approached we saw more food come across the counter that looked like it needed to be further investigated. Like those home cut fries. Our server was suuuuuuuuper nice. This is very important....when you walk in the door there is a pad on the counter on your right.
