I've been here twice almost exactly one year apart, and I have been extremely happy with the experience both times. The lemon cream french toast with the warm blueberry compote is what brought me here. I've had it both times, and I have been extremely happy and completely finished my food both times. The service has always been prompt, attentive, and friendly. I really enjoyed watching the interactions between the staff and the local regulars, and the other patrons have always been very kind to have friendly conversation with me at the bar. When I realized I had a chance to stop through Kansas City again at the last minute this past Friday, I remembered this place from my visit a year ago, and I was very excited to return. Really large and expansive menu, love that they have gf bread as an option for toast. Server and service were amazing. We had a large party of 10 as a walk in and were able to get seated in about 20 min on a Saturday for late brunch. Got the shakshouka --but it wasn't really the right dish. They fried two eggs over medium and poured a tomato sauce over. I definitely would have ordered something different had I known it wasn't going to be authentic. Back again but this time I went for the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet. Once again everything was delicious! It's everything you expect from a Philly but in omelet form. The steak was cooked to perfect, plenty of eggs and cheese, and just the right amount of green peppers and onions to balance it out. The breakfast potatoes are also great. This was my family's weekend spot once upon a time. Nice to go somewhere familiar where there's weekly specials for drink and entrees. Lox and creamy goat cheese skillet/ Mexican-spiced mocha: salmon and seasoned potatoes were very good. There was goat cheese but it didn't seem like a creamy sauce. Still the dish was good. Amazing time here on Sunday with some friends and my wife. We got sat for a party of 5 within 10 minutes of being there (called ahead of time so if you have a large party I recommend that). I got the Philly Cheesesteak skillet which was really good! Nothing was too overwhelming with the assortment of what was in it which I think is great because everything mixed well. I checked this place out for the first time during 2025 Restaurant Week, being my first time checking out this restaurant I didn't know what to expect. I ordered a hot Chia latte which came out in a huge cup. Having tried Chia at several places in town I found that the flavor was very well and probably one of the better flavored ones in the area. For the food I ordered a cinnamon roll, not only was this the size of an appetizer plate, but it was very fluffy and soft. flavor was a very good and had just the right amount of frosting over it. My main corse I got the Southwestern benny, The chorizo gravy was amazing!! I got the fruit cup with it for my side and I had to take 1/2 of it home for later. We are still sitting in the restaurant and I was just called to make a review! WHAT. A. MEAL! We are in town on a road trip and we found this place and it did not disappoint! I had the breakfast pizza with chorizo gravy (drool) and my husband had the Rockies egg Benedict with a pancake on the side! I wish I would have gotten pictures, but we just couldn't wait to eat. The service was wonderful. Very attentive. Our server was Yovana and she was just so sweet! And the food was just so good! You know you're in a good place when locals are Coming in asking for their regular booth! The side pancake my husband got was HUGE and the perfect breakfast dessert! The right amount of gooey and fluffy goodness - and the taste is UNREAL! One of my favorite little touches were the decorative plates, which made you feel like you were at grandmas house! When the staff came to clear the plates, jokingly I told them that it was the worst meal I've ever had which brought a huge smile to the young man's face, in which he replied "thanks for the complaint." I laughed and I appreciated the lighthearted feel we got with each interaction. The booths are very roomy and you don't feel like you need to squeeze in. Yovana, my server, was excellent, and like most everyone who works here, she's a longtime employee. They clearly inspire loyalty in both their customers and their staff, which seems to be a rarity in today's world. Ambience is like a good neighbor... been around a while, comfortably familiar, reliable, and friendly! The decor is eclectic, and I'm not sure it's ever been updated, but you'll feel right at home. The menu is full of diverse, interesting, and delicious options, and includes everything from the most down-home traditional breakfasts and sandwiches to some very creative offerings. I love their Nova Scotia Lox Eggs Benedict. I'm not a big fan of poached eggs, but here you can have them cooked any way you want, which might horrify any Eggs Benedict purist. As I often do at places like this, I ordered too much food for breakfast because I have a hard time choosing between sweet & savory. I got the BELT sandwich which came with potatoes. This was perfect! Perfectly crispy bacon, and the herbed mayo was really good. I also ordered the multigrain pancake with blueberry compote. This was tasty! I also got tea, earl grey, it was as well. I always appreciate it when restaurants offer tea and have multiple options. I only have a couple of opportunities for constructive criticism. My family and I came later in the afternoon, close to when they closed and my potatoes were cold. I could tell that they were made a lot earlier in the day, so that was disappointing. I should have gotten the hashbrowns instead because I know it would have been fresh. Also, we were in a rush because we were going to the hot dog festival after we ate brunch. And it felt like our waitress was moving a little slow. We asked to order our food at the same time as we did our drink order but she said she had to do them separately. It all worked out in the end. There was so much to choose from that I wanted to try but ultimately I went with the Classic Benedict. Eggs Benedict is one of my favorite dishes and they delivered it perfectly, with a side of perfectly crispy homefries/breakfast potatoes. My wife had a crepe and loved it. I noticed a full menu of bloody marys, mimosas, and the like at very fair prices but we kept to coffee that AM. Prices good, service friendly, and a real homey and comfortable atmosphere. We stopped by Eggct for Sunday breakfast/brunch after church and it was a great choice. I anticipated having to wait for a table, but this place has a lot of seating and they do a great job of keeping things moving along, so I would guess a wait would be minimal, if any at all like we experienced. Eggct. has a really broad menu, so plenty of choices for everyone, whether that be breakfast/brunch items or something off the lunch menu. We had 4 different entrees at our table and everyone loved what they got. We had to ask a second time for a drink to be delivered, but that was the only hitch in the service. I must admit that the bathrooms could use a major updating. They are wonky and old, so give off the appearance of being dirty which was sort of a turnoff for me. A little interior updating and this place would be a 5-star pick. read more
