I'm a huge fan of First Watch when it comes to selecting a place for brunch. The service at this location was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was *chefs kiss*. The atmosphere is always relaxed which gives it a great vibe. Lastly, I must compliment the delicious cocktails. They never miss...always a hit.

Two egg breakfast with pork sausage and potatoes and gluten-free toast, but the toast is burnt
    Christina B.

My husband and I went to this first watch for the first time for brunch. He ordered an Italian omelette that came with a side of potatoes and he ordered an English muffin. I ordered their two egg, choice of meat and it comes with potatoes and toast, and I had the pork sausage and gluten-free toast. We were seated immediately, she tried to sit us at a tiny table, and we asked to be switched to a booth, which she accommodated us. Our waitress came out quickly and took our order, and our food came out relatively quickly. The temperature of the food was fine, my husband liked his meal. My meal was fine, except that the gluten-free toast was overcooked and pretty much burnt. I think the service could've been better. She took our order and people from the kitchen delivered it and she really never came back to ask if we needed anything else and just dropped off the ticket. The restaurant was generally clean and it had plenty of seating for a smaller restaurant and a casual atmosphere with a good sound level, not too loud with all the people that were there.

This First Watch provided just what we needed on our moving day - a healthy, reasonably priced, fresh, delicious breakfast with kind service and bottomless coffee! That is the wonderful thing about First Watch, you know you're going to have a great consistent experience. I'm not one for chain restaurants but this one is my favorite! Our server was just perfect, the right amount of leaving us to enjoy our food vs. making sure we had everything we needed. I got the always solid Market Skillet (SO GOOD, packed with veg and flavor) and my partner got the special Brooklyn Breakfast Sandwich (pastrami and house pickled onions, genius!), and boy were we happy and full!!! Finish the meal off with the Holey Donuts, you will NOT be disappointed! They were so insanely fresh, steaming hot from the fryer, with a tasty berry compote! I'll be dreaming about them for a while... This location is so close to our new home! We will surely be back time after time!

As far as "chain" breakfast restaurant goes, this is by far THE BEST in the area. You know it's good when you order the same thing over and over and over again and the food consistently tastes the same and hits the spot every single time. With that being said, I always order the Million Dollar Bacon and Salmon Frittata every single time. I highly recommend giving this combo a try! Service wise, I've always been greeted with a smile and less than a 10 min wait each time. They're quick to refill drinks and tend to your table in a timely manner! Overall highly recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a yummy breakfast/brunch spot!

    Bloody Mary Morning Glory

It's been years since I've been to First Watch so I decided to try it out again. We checked in online to cut the wait and that was definitely worth it because they were busy. The lobby area isn't very spacious so it gets crowded quick and it makes you feel like no matter where you stand, your in the way. So definitely put your name on the list ahead of time. We started with a couple of brunch cocktails that I was quite frankly surprised they had. My dining companion got the Bloody Mary and I got the Morning Glory. They came out in cute little carafes and the juice was really fresh. The Morning Glory consisted of New Amsterdam Gluten Free Vodka, orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger and agave nectar. You could really taste the turmeric and ginger. I got the Blt Benedict-Two poached cage-free eggs atop toasted ciabatta with bacon, vine-ripened tomato, avocado and lemon-dressed arugula and covered with hollandaise. The ciabatta made it awkward to eat and hard to cut but it was good. The bacon was tasty and the lemon really stood out. The eggs were also perfectly poached and all the produce was fresh. I did swap out the salad it came with for potatoes. Overall it was good and they have an extensive menu that works for everyone.

Someone recommended this place to me, so I stopped by. So glad I did....food was good and service was excellent. I'd definitely eat at this place again.

    Classic breakfast

Had an early Sunday morning breakfast at this place. The restaurant is clean and comfortable with nice spacing between tables. Staff were friendly and efficient. My friend had the classic breakfast which she enjoyed. I had the crab avocado toast which was off of their Spring menu. There was plenty of crab, the avocado was tasty snd the toast was a lovely hearty piece of bread.

Salmon frittata Orange juice French toast with Turkey sausage
    A D.

Dan the manager working Saturday was so accommodating. I had ordered the salmon frittata with the greens and a kids meal french toast, Turkey sausage, and orange juice. Oh how I love their oj. Heavy gym day and I need it. Placed my order online and when I got there it was ready. There are a few things I would like to clear up before proceeding. The kids cup have been replaced with just a small cup due to covid(kids cups were to expensive to keep in inventory so the just switched to adult small, now they do not fill it up bc technically it's supposed to be for a child so do not get upset if your kids juice isn't to the brim of the cup. Also they can no longer keep toothpicks and mints out due to this as well. I did not know this so upon arrival I seen a half of a cup of juice and was like umm no. But technically yes this is correct and he explained to me so nicely and still filled it up for me. If you place an order online and for any reason you want to receive a refund you will have to call a number and wait 3-5 business days, also they are closed on the weekends, gotta love what COVID has done to the world. Like most first watch it was a nice crowd, the restaurant was clean but I'm a firm believer of what sets these chains apart are the people. This is why they get a 5. The food is always consistent and the people here are just so nice that I can't help but to pass up 2 others just to come to this one. Friendly staff, great breakfast, and clean.

    Cobb Salad
    Dev T.

I have been to this location twice. It is ok but not something that I would highly recommend. It does get busy so I would be ready for a wait or plan to come when it is not breakfast/lunch hour. I got the Cobb salad both times. It is a good, standard Cobb. They definitely give you a lot of food. It didn't look like I had barely made a dent by the time I was done. The bacon was very crispy and the avocado was great. The turkey was like a chopped up lunch meat turkey.

    Eggs Benedict, potatoes and coffee.

Delicious breakfast this morning at their Metcalf location. I will say, due to their layout, this location is noisier than most First Watch locations. First Watch is consistently delicious.

Egg-sclusive eggs Benedict with smoke salmon and fried potatoes
    Merry J.

The food was really light and yummy. The potatoes wasn't greasy. Perfect place for a brunch. It was busy, but our waitress was quick and attentive. Make sure you join the waitlist around noonish, we went before the lunch rush so got seated real quick.

We also went with the ONION RING TOWER which consists of onion rings served with ranch or Cajun horseradish dipping sauce. The Cajun is the way to go. Flaming hot to say the least and not for the faint of heart. I selected the JALAPEÑO CREAM CHEESE Burger, which is a prime Wagyu beef patty topped with jalapeño cream cheese spread, peppered bacon, and pepper jack cheese on a brioche bun. It was moist cooked just right with a light sear. I went with the Raspberry and my wife sent with the Oreo. Both were very filling. Tater kegs were good, taste and size-wise. But we wound up hardly eating much of the fried pickles. They were drowned in salt, so much so even the ranch couldn't compensate or cover it up. My wife got the unlimited wings. She tried three different flavor of wings, all very salty to the taste. Sweet Chili, the Popping Pineapple and the Teriyaki. And the teriyaki really didn't taste like teriyaki at all. My daughter had the veggie burger, and she said it was very salty. I ordered the deviled eggs and the jalapeno creamed corn. The deviled eggs were good; filling was a little runnier than I usually like in a deviled egg. The jalapeno creamed corn had some good spice, but another dish that had entirely too much salt in it. When my wife and first got there to get the table for our party, the host asked if we had the app. We did not, he instructed us how to download it, and told us we'd be getting an email for a free burger. He also told us about the 20% off "Vintage" discount for seniors, of which I am one. At the end of our meal, the server (who was really cool, by the way) gave us our bill, which totalled with tax $165 plus some change. I told him I was a senior and wanted the vintage discount. He brought in iPad over, entered a couple things and brought us a new bill. I glanced at it and it said $163 and some change. So I walked after him and asked him if I paid up front and that's where they gave the discount. He said no you pay me and I did give you the discount. Sure enough, on the receipt, it was saying vintage discount......$2.60. Now I use math in my head every day for work as an air traffic controller, so it didn't take me long to figure out $2.60 is WAY BELOW 20% off of $165. I was looking for some fine print somewhere that might explain this particular math conundrum. Couldn't find anything. I was going to find our server or a manager, but the family was ready to go, and since it was a birthday my wife didn't want me to make an issue of it, so we left. Not happy with the liberal usage of salt in everything, and with today's prices, especially not happy with the issue with the discount that was about 18% short. Probably won't be back.
