This is my favorite Brazilian place in the Kansas/Missouri region. It's a lovely place with extremely delicious, freshly cooked, authentic food. I am Brazilian and have been to every Brazilian cafe/restaurant around here and this is by far my favorite. They also frequently have live music! This is a lovely, clean, warm, and welcoming place! Her cakes are also extremely delicious. I had Lola, the owner, make my wedding cake after I took my (American) husband to try some Brazilian cuisine and he LOVED IT! She did a WONDERFUL job with both the delightful flavor and with the decoration. Her cake was an absolute success at my wedding!! Multiple people (staff included) requested Lola's information after having her cake! It was mind blowing!

Service was good, this açaí bowl was delish, thought it would be a little larger like the pictures on their online menu but it will do. Ingredients were fresh and the customer service was good.

If you want delicious Brazilian food this is the place to be. I come here almost every weekend to satisfy my Brazilian food craving. My favorite is Feijoada and coxinhas. Its a great atmosphere and has tons of events to take part in. I enjoy the great staff and people who come by.

Cute hole in the wall I found while looking for a place to grab coffee and work on the laptop. I was a bit hesitant upon arrival since it's located in an industrial area. The cafe's located inside Brazil Academy, a gym for jiu jitsu, etc. I was greeted by the lady who makes all the food and desserts and she is so nice!! You can definitely feel the pride she has in all the food she offers. I ended up getting some espresso and a shepherds pie with chicken and she even threw in a cheese ball for me! I'll definitely be back on a Saturday to try the main course!

Literally just using frozen fruit and ice the smoothie was bland and overpriced. A meal for 15 the size of my hand too.

Cafe Brazil is located inside of Brazil Academy, its a GYM so don't go there thinking you are going to a "traditional" cafe.

Our most recent visit was during KC Restaurant Week, which adds a little extra value with a free dessert! (This year's was Tres Leches cake!) Similar to many Brazilian steakhouses, there's a bar with a massive assortment of FANTASTIC food! Many are cold salad options, including pastas, seafood, veggies and more! It's extremely difficult NOT to get a heaping scoop of every single thing, but be warned: if you do, there's not going to be much room left in your belly for the INCREDIBLE meats on service! Once you flip your paper token to the open side, you'll begin being visited by numerous meat-bearing servers, who will offer you the different meats by name! Many have all the different finish temperatures (rare, medium, well, etc.), and you can ask for as much as you like! They continue to circulate around the dining room and to your table as often as the meat becomes availabile (every 10-15 minutes or so!). Our particular waiter on this visit was outstanding! Charming, patient, and very helpful with diverting our favorite meats back over to our table for encores! Even though gratuity is included on the bill, we made sure to add a little extra for his efforts! I have too many favorites to name them all, but the two that really hit the spot this time around were the pork ribs and the filet with bacon! And yes, that IS pineapple on a skewer, and yes, it's as good or better than most of the meats that come out! Try it, it's AMAZING! My only knock on the food for this entire visit would actually be the free dessert - the Tres Leches. While it was fine enough, it didn't really give much of a true "Tres Leches" flavor to it - more of just a "wet cake". I have a sweet tooth from here to the moon, so, I ate it!! However, I was about the only one at our table who did. The dining room setup is pretty tight, especially considering that people are getting up from their seats pretty often to visit the food bar. Regarding the cost/value: while everything is very good, it's certainly not a cheap place to eat. Dinner for two with a tip is easily going to be $150, similar to other steakhouses. This gets a nod for one star above average due to the fact that it is, essentially, endless meat (there IS a time limit, I'm told), and a huge selection, compared to a "normal" steakhouse. My wife loves the ham and pineapple!…read more We come here on New Year's Eve almost every year and we typically buy a whole ham and pineapple for New Year's Day. Did I mention my wife likes the ham and pineapple? The food here is good and if you have ever been to one of these Brazilian steakhouses this one is pretty similar, but we think a bit better and local. We like local restaurants and supporting them. There are 3 cuts of meat they bring around that are a must for our family, outside the ham of course which is about all my wife will take so she loads up when it comes by, these are the picanha, provolone, and the flank steak. Each are seasoned the same but the meat flavors are the standout. The 4th one my son likes is the garlic steak. I like that one ok but it's not different enough from the others to make it in my rotation. If you like lamb or are lamb curious this is a good place to try it, you're not committed, and the chops are pretty mild flavored. It's not the best lamb I have ever had but it's good, really outside the picanha and the ham of course, I could say pretty much the same thing about all of the cuts. That is not why you come here though. You come for the variety and the presentation and the fun of trying stuff. The self serve food is ok. Some good some.... The good news is there is probably something for everyone. There are a few things I like. I always get the Brazilian rice and beans for something more traditional or I eat a salad if I want to have more of a 3 course kinda meal. I like the pasta salad here and that is what I tend to get with the rodizio. The good news is there is a lot of variety. Some of it seems odd, but it could be fun. For instance, last night they had Italian ziti! For dessert there is one thing to get, the caramel flan. Enough said. The restaurant itself is fine. It can be as fancy or casual as you want it to be. We see people here in suits and dresses and t-shirts and shorts and it's one of those places you would feel comfortable in either. On New Year's Eve people tend to be dressed their best, but that is more about the occasion than the restaurant. Service is fine. The server will essentially get your drinks and point you in the right directions. They will give you the rundown, if it's your first time. We don't expect much here so maybe that is on us. It's kinda like a server at a buffet. That being said, we have never had an issue. We have always had polite, attentive servers and staff so we are pretty happy! All in all a pretty good place. It's reminiscent to a choose your own adventure for food where people can adventurous or wild or standard. That's the fun of this place and why we like to come here with the family. I didn't take many photos. The place was really busy last night and it seemed awkward, but I am sure there are quite a few already posted for your enjoyment.

Nestled inside the ultra-luxurious Raphael Hotel, this upscale Restaurant/jazz club had our group feeling like we were heading to a high-society adult prom. The ambiance practically demands a raised eyebrow and a sophisticated toast. Naturally, the libations were flowing. On one end of the table sat a chocolate martini so decadent it looked borderline sinful. On the polar opposite end of the spectrum, I ordered an extra-dirty Chopin martini, complete with blue-cheese-stuffed olives. Look, it didn't reinvent the wheel, but it was executed exactly the way I'd make it at home--assuming I could ever actually find a bottle of Chopin in any of our local liquor establishments. (Seriously, who is hoarding it?) We kicked things off with the gourmet bread basket. Do yourself a favor and cough up the extra $5 for the super soft bread and whipped butter; your tastebuds will thank you for not being cheap. For my starter, I opted for the she-crab soup, which presented itself as a spectacularly rich crab bisque. Word on the street is that she-crab Is vastly superior to he-crab. This is a PG-rated review, so I shall leave the mechanics to your imagination. Then came the piece de résistance: the 12-ounce ribeye, flanked by asparagus spears and Delmonico potatoes. This sucker was thick. When I asked our waitress for a proper steak knife, she politely pointed to my standard-issue butter knife and confidently declared, "That's it!" I thought she was joking. She wasn't. Melt-in-your-mouth is an understatement; this medium-rare masterpiece yielded to a butter knife like it was soft brie. The sides were equally stellar. The Delmonico potatoes were a beautifully elevated, elite version of scalloped potatoes, and the asparagus was snappy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The evening's only tragic misstep was the cheesecake. It, too, was incredibly thick--but in all the wrong ways. While fortunately not overbaked, the texture resembled a very well-flavored, highly gourmet paste. To add insult to injury, the graham cracker crust had completely surrendered its structural integrity, offering none of the classic crunch I crave. Minor dessert tragedy aside, it was a phenomenal evening. The service was impeccable, the vibe was unmatched, and that steak alone warrants a return visit. Next time, I'll just be exploring a different corner of the dessert menu.

You choose either a soup broth or the grill or both. (If you choose to do both, the whole table has to pay an extra five dollars per head, even if you only choose one or the other per person.) I'm sure they get tired of explaining to first time visitors, but it definitely felt rushed and unexplained. A few basic recipes or pairings to give you something to start with would be really nice for a first timer! The sauce bar is where it's at! Make sure you make a great fresh. For example, try: Soy sauce, the K-pop sauce, something a little sweet with the Sesame oil. Sesame paste, peanut paste, cilantro, garlic, a little bit of vinegar and Sesame seeds. Or whatever combo you love! This one was fire!! Ultimately, our favorite was the grill and all the different meats! Put the veggies in the broth were delicious too! It's so hard to choose!
