The service was great and the food was good, the atmosphere was good pretty unique place to go.

The Shack has perfected the suburban brunch experience. Find a strip all with plenty of parking. Redecorate to give off a desolate country style empty shack-like atmosphere where you can write on the walls. Serve a menu full of fun, creative and high caloric meals with adult beverage options. Make money. Repeat. My visit was a-ok. I was dining solo and seated at a booth hidden way in the corner of the restaurant instead of given the option of a better spot or even the bar. I could have asked to move, but didn't. Next time I'll say something. The Notorious B.N.G. (biscuits and gravy + eggs + bacon + hash browns) hit the spot. All party. No B.S. A note - I walked in with no wait on a late weekday morning, but please plan ahead when you visit. The restaurant will have a wait during weekends and other peak times. read more

My fiancé and I went on a breakfast date to Shack Breakfast & Lunch and had a really good experience! We got there around 9am and were seated right away with no wait, but by the time we were leaving there was definitely a line forming. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. I especially appreciated that they offer gluten-free options, which can be hard to find at breakfast places. The drinks were definitely a highlight--strong (in a good way) and well-made, which is always a plus! The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the service was friendly throughout our visit. Overall, definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a solid breakfast spot. read more

Good food, but the hash browns need be to cooked. Waiter thinks his head so big he can put the order in without writing it down. (He forgot to put my note for extra crispy hash browns.) I had the loaded greens skillet and it was really delicious. It's a shame I can't stand raw and gritty potatoes in my mouth alongside it. My drink was good, really, really good. I had the good mooning. Definitely recommend. The atmosphere is weird, but something to note about, even if it is an absurd lateral move to a Texas roadhouse peanut room. The vibes feel like how a middleschooler would visualize a brunch place that highschoolers might frequent. By that I mean it feels like it is trying to be cool in a way that is slightly unpleasant and forced. read more

We live about 30 min away and put our name on the waitlist before we left the house. We only had a little bit of wait left when arrived which isn't bad for a Sunday afternoon. I love the vibe of the place with the crystal chandeliers and the writing on the walls. Emily was a fantastic server. She waited patiently while we looked over the vast menu. I ended up choosing the corned beef n' hash and it was honestly the best breakfast I've eaten in a long time and the best corned beef ever. The drizzle of mustard on top added the perfect tang to the tender strips of corned beef. The eggs were cooked perfectly over medium. The hash had a great consistency with a fine chop on the veggies. read more

Second time here Would recommend. Restaurant is very fun decor with writing all of the walls. The menu has really fun names for the items. Service both times have been extraordinary very attentive wait staff. The food has been extremely good. Had breakfast both times and was not disappointed. My only critique is that the eggs could use a bit of salt but that's easily added at the table. The chicken and waffles were hot and sweet just as described. Would not order a side of bacon. Wasn't worth it. You're allowed to make substitutions which is good for picky eaters Prices are fair. Overall very good restaurant. Can't wait to go again. read more

Vibe 10/10 Food was well seasoned, good portions, service was fantastic. Wife ordered a Bloody Mary and did not like it. They replaced it with a massive mimosa. The menu is fun, the server was friendly and was at the table the appropriate amount. The two drinks I had were amazing. read more

Overpriced, greasy and bland breakfast items with tacky names and tackier decor. Service is okay, but overall there is nothing that makes me want to go back. Much better breakfast spots in the area. read more

Such a fun vibe! We had a short wait on a Sunday morning (15-20 mins after arriving). Service was fast and friendly. I had the Notorious BNG and asked for crispy bacon. The biscuits were fluffy, sausage gravy was flavorful, hashbrown were golden brown, and the bacon was perfectly crisp! Scrambled eggs were a little more done than I like, but I'm picky about eggs. Overall, a solid brunch choice! read more

Shack is a great place for breakfast and brunch. The menu is huge and has so much to offer, and the bar menu is large as well! I once ordered something from the bar that I did not like and not only did they replace it with something different of my choosing, the bartender came over personally to deliver it and make sure that I liked it. Portions are large and the decor is fun. This is a great spot to go to to meet friends or with family! read more

Such a fun environment. Food was affordable and delicious. Awesome drink selection and the service was great! I wanted to try a Bloody Mary for the first time and didn't like it at all and the server was amazing enough to bring me a replacement! We'll definitely be back. read more

Service was acceptable and friendly. However, my food (of the 3 of us) could have been better. First, I ordered sausage and got bacon. I was almost done eating when the sausage arrived. The bigger issue was that the plate was apparently cold and wet when they plated the food, so the bottom of the eggs, hash browns, and biscuits and gravy were wet and cold. The biscuit was also overdone and tough. All-in-all, plenty of room for improvement. read more

Food was excellent. Service was a little slow but we enjoyed brunch very much. I had the chicken fried steak which I would say is probably the best around. Hisband algae the notorious b n g, biscuit was very very good. read more

Shack Breakfast & Lunch - Chocolate chip Pancakes - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Lee's Summit, Missouri

Huge restaurant and thank goodness because they do a big business (at least on Saturdays at 10:30!). We got there at 8:50 with 5 of us and were glad because we got right in, no wait. By the time we left, they had a sidewalk full of folks waiting! The service was pretty quick (they don't make a lot of convo at the table: they've got orders to put in!). And the food portions are... positively gargantuan. At our table, the Toot Toot was probably the most reasonable dish (fruit and waffle). The blueberry lemon curd pancake (order of 1) is the size of a UFO! The chicken and waffle was good with 2 eggs and super crispy hash browns. I have no idea how Brian finished it... "Why the French Hate Us" is a croissant egg sandwich smothered in peppery sausage gravy (it's extreme). My breakfast burrito was so big that HALF of it put me into a food coma, but it was also delicious! Steak, bacon, scrambled eggs, the fabulous crispy hash browns, queso, 2 kinds of salsa, and supposedly crushed Doritos on top (I didn't see them amongst the rest of the toppings). For a usual breakfast, Brian and I could SPLIT the other half. read more

We decided to come here for brunch. We had never been and oddly, this was the first this place popped up when I searched for brunch places. We added our name to the waiting list and was told we had about a 20-30 minute wait. We were 15 minutes away. Thebemail that our table was ready came about 5 minutes after I added our name. We were still driving. When we got there, we were told that we had to wait again because our table had been giving away. OK fine. We waited about 15 minutes and then saw people being seated that came in after us. So I inquired and was told that we were sent a text again. I never got a text. Then found out that others that were waiting never got a text either. We were then seated. Our waitstaff was nice. It was a 4.7 day(wink). I ordered the County f Fried Steak with over medium eggs. I feel like a lot people don't know what over medium means. The yolk is cooked a little and is also a little runny. It was all runny like over easy eggs. This happens at a lot of places. Hubs had the Make a Grown Man Cry burrito. It did not in fact make him cry. He said it was okay. He thought it would be bigger and more flavorful (insert that's what she said joke). The teen had a grilled cheese and fries. Yep, grilled cheese. The baby had over hard eggs and chicken sausage. She liked hers and ate all she could which was minimal because she's a baby. Hubs and I both ordered Belgium Waffles. They were super oily and tasted oily. Oily like when someone makes pancakes in a skillet with oil to get crispy edges. It tasted so oily that I couldn't eat more than 2 bites. Overall, the food was fresh but that Waffle needs some help. I recommend looking into the wait list system. There were a lot of people that didn't get emails for their tables. We may or may not come back. We'll see.. read more

Food is always good. But they got a few servers that are just dog shit. Take for ever with every request. It's 50/50 on service here. But I repeat the food is always good. Just bad and slow servers read more

Today a couple of my friends and I got together and decided to head to Shack for a breakfast/lunch option. This wasn't my first time there but it was for my friends. One friend order the small order of biscuit and gravy. It was a nice size for the price and had plenty of gravy. My other friend got the 'merica French toast. It came out with nice thick pieces of French toast, berries and whipped cream. It looked like heaven in a plate. I picked the country fried steak, eggs over medium and hasbrowns. The steak was good, not very thick so it was a little tough but the sausage gravy was very flavorful and a great complement. The eggs were cooked perfectly and while the hash browns were crispier then I like, most people would have loved them. Their coffee was decent, not a standout but good with breakfast. read more

We came here because they have lots of GF options on their menu. Waited a bit but seated and great service. You could tell our server really cared about celiac disease as one of our party was at home awaiting us to bring her something. and he wasn't afraid to tell us that the kitchen messed up and have them do it over again!. My son loved the huevos rancheros; wife enjoyed an egg white omelet; I got the stuffed croissant. All the ingredients (sausage, country gravy, cheese) were delicious but the croissant got so soggy next time I will just get a skillet with a croissant on the side if desired. Options on the menu are extensive, prices and serving size excellent. read more

We gathered here in a Sunday morning brunch to celebrate the recent family birthdays. Made reservations for 8 people at 11am. We still had to wait half an hour for a table. Service was slow. We got seated at a tables that was adjacent to each other which made it difficult to talk to everyone. Guess they were busier than expected that day. Casual atmosphere. I was not too impressed with the food menu. Wanted some crepes which were not on menu. I ended up ordering an eggs Benedict with hash browns. It was okay, just an over price breakfast place. read more

I was so excited to finally try this LS location! I have seen this space be many other franchises, but they did a great job giving it the Shack look. Food: I have tried many of their breakfast items, so I decided to go for a lunch item. It did not disappoint! I had the Mother Clucker Wrap which contained fried chicken, pepper jack cheese, spring mix, spicy slaw, bacon , and chipotle mayo. I personally love anything with chipotle mayo and the bacon pieces with the fried chicken really made it such a great wrap! I also got a side a sweet potato tots which were delicious! They were $1 up charge, but I couldn't figure out why especially with the amount they gave. My friend had the quesadilla and she loved every bite. She wanted just a side or a la carte French toast , but that wasn't an option here. So, we just ordered the full meal and split that. Service: Our server was nice and attentive. She made sure to keep us updated on how much time was left before our food came out. Also, the host was super friendly and seemed excited to be there! Of course I would come back and eat again! read more

This is a two-part, so the family brought me here for father's day 6/20. I in turn brought the family here on 6/27 as a thank you for an early morning trail walk reward. The wait at Shack is ridiculous, you definitely need to use the get in line feature on Yelp ( which we did both times) It will reduce your stress. With the app it was still a wait, 6/27 at least 1 hr from check-in per-app initial requested hostess check-in until food on the table. The atmosphere and staff are great, meals unique, the seating for parties above 4 are awkward and crammed ( seating 5 at a 4 top table with a seat in the isle is not ideal) especially because the table can not hold all the plates easily. Now the food, I ordered French toast (both visits) I DONT NORMALLY EAT HASH BROWNS, BUT WHEN I DO. 2nd visit Go make yourself a dang quesadilla (1st Visit) & housemade biscuit n gravy (2nd) Visit Hash browns 9/10 small portions but great flavor & texture French toast 10/10 1st visit 6/10 2nd visit. ( Soggy bread on that 2nd visit) Biscuits & Gravy 6/10 not a lot of flavors however the biscuit was good. Quesadilla 5/10 - lacking flavor despite having chorizo in it and it was not crisp at all, like a soft taco with griddle lines that didn't stay on long enough The pancakes are huge, my kids enjoyed that and the atmosphere as a whole. Would I come back a 3rd time.......yes, I would like to find a good pairing for the I DONT NORMALLY EAT HASH BROWNS, BUT WHEN I DO and try the lunch menu. If you have not been, definitely try them out, and don't forget to get on the waitlist before you head out. read more

The food and service were great. I love the biscuits and gravy and the chicken sausage.

We waited to be seated for 10 min over quoted wait time with half the restaurant empty. We sat for 5 minutes before we even got greeted by our server. Our food came out before our drinks. We got the Notorious BNG and the biscuits and gravy were good, but the hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and sausage patties were a disappointment. We ate a few bites and didn't finish it. Just wasn't worth eating. $50 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. The manager did come over and get our feedback and handled the circumstances well. Second or third time being here and just never really impressed. Cute place, mimosa was good for $10, bloody mary could have been better. Won't come back for a while. read more

Service was very good. Food - lukewarm and mediocre. I didn't use the restroom, but wife reported the ladies room was "filthy".

Best breakfast in town! Tons of great options on the menu including lunch items. Everything I've had there was of great quality and flavor. Not only that but the prices are extremely reasonable and the staff is always very friendly! Patio seating is available and you can always just grab a seat at the bar. They'll even give you a coffee to go. Definitely one of my go-to spots. Must try the French toast! read more

We have been to this location twice, and both times were very impressed. This is the deal.....you want a good breakfast, but you also want a Bloody Mary and it's only 9AM (don't judge me). Finding both at that time of the morning is challenging On our first visit I tried the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast and my hubby got The Kitchen Sink (a skillet breakfast with all the meats, peppers, mushrooms, and cheddar cheese. He added gravy to make it perfect). We both loved it. The 2nd time I got a veggie Omelet and the hubby got "Love me how, hate me later" (a burrito that has the usual stuff but also fritos and and chili - sounds strange but he loved it). I like that they have the usual breakfast fare but also all kinds of interesting options. We sat at the bar both times and the service was perfect. Highly recommend. read more
