It was amazing as it allowed my wife to relax and enjoy every moment with her family who flew in. The chapel itself is timeless. It's super well lit, yet cozy. It provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, creating an intimate and romantic ambiance that our guests loved. PLUS, the neighboring space allowed extra room for our guests to grab refreshments before and after the ceremony, which other smaller venues in town definitely didn't offer. Parking is also available in the parking garage behind the venue. Minor drawbacks include tight-fitting chairs, some stiff sightlines if you're in the balcony, narrow stairs and the bathrooms being in the basement.

I had assumed it was just a bunch of old offices or classrooms, never imagining a chapel with such grand arches, stained glass and marble stairs and landings. I decided to order the scone, which he told me was a lemon scone, even though I told him that the white icing had speckles on it, similar to vanilla bean. He affirmed in a snotty way, "It's lemon." After I received the scone and took a bite, I knew that I was right. I asked for a refund in which he insisted that what I had was a lemon. I told him how it didn't taste like lemon but vanilla bean. He insisted again. Yes, we were doing this. He lamented that his bakery person told him that it was lemon. Hey, if your bakery person tells you lemon, it's not on me. He gave me the refund. The latte I received was supposed to be a pistachio latte, not a pistachio latte taste at all. I wasn't sure what it was.

Ironhorse Golf Club - Leawood, Kansas…read more My husband and I recently played a round at Ironhorse Golf Club and had a great experience. The greens were in excellent condition -- very fast and true. We were also impressed with the golf carts, which were in great shape and came equipped with GPS for added convenience. We were paired with a club member who generously shared local course knowledge, which really helped, especially with the challenging layout. A meandering creek comes into play on many holes and has a knack for swallowing golf balls -- so bring a few extras! Several holes were cart path only, but it was manageable. The drink cart came around frequently, and the staff throughout the facility was friendly and welcoming. One small but appreciated touch: the clubhouse offered complimentary water, ice, and glasses, and there were also water stations out on the course. Overall, a very enjoyable round at a beautiful and well-maintained course. Would absolutely recommend!
