I used Van Wyhe photography for my late spring wedding this year. They did a fantastic job! I love the photos I received. I used them for a couple pre wedding shoots and my wedding. Gabriel made sure to follow up and checked to see if all my needs were met. During the wedding, both Gabriel and Jaci were so accommodating and made the day so much better when minor chaos went on. The photo booth was so much fun. We didn't expect it to be that popular since the majority of our wedding guests were older family members. They made everyone feel comfortable. The photos are funny to look back at. The only con would be that the photos took two months to be processed, which was completely understandable. We were forewarned way ahead of time and it was listed on the contract. I was just anxious to see the photos but willing to wait for better quality. They're popular and extremely busy during the summer. That being said, Gabriel was still easy to contact and kept me updated even before I asked. I would HIGHLY recommend them. The pictures speak for themselves!! P.S. Gabriel was awesome, but I did want to note how awesome Jaci was as well. For those that may worry on the quality of the second shooter, I was completely satisfied with Jaci's work. :) Definitely recommend having a second shooter based on our experience. read more

I don't even know where to start. Gabriel & Jaci were hired for our wedding that took place on March 12th 2016. The whole process up until the wedding was easy. My Husband and I chose him because he wasn't cocky or acted like "oh you'll be back after you look around"... We just got the vibe that he is incredibly knowledgeable in his art and talent for photography, our personalities worked well together & most importantly he was relatable. Our wedding day was perfect ! & I have to thank Gabriel & Jaci because even though they may have been doing their job, we felt they went above and beyond and this is why. They both showed up on time, helped juggle a million things, helped our videographer guys who were just starting out and was willing to work with them and help them get amazing shots as well! Gabriel would carry my dress train anytime we were moving or going kind of through a muddy mess (: was fun & appreciated! Jaci would carry or hold on to my bouquet for me when I didn't need it but had no real spot to put it. They were great distracting our little flower girls and ring bearer (ages 1-3) to get great family photographs! Gabriel even cleaned my dress off for me before the ceremony and family photos (dried mud), he was the first to be excited & congratulated us after the ceremony! He showed our groomsmen how to properly put on their boutonnières, made my plate of food for me so I didn't spill anything on my dress, he helped keep everything moving and on track, so much so that we were actually 30 minutes ahead of schedule. I just can't thank them enough for all the effort they put in to make our special big day, the best day it could have possibly been. I highly recommend them for any of your photography needs! We discovered Gabe Van Wyhe at a Seattle bridal expo, and I was instantly drawn to the style of his wedding albums, which included attractive vintage washes. He is warm and responsive, and I was so impressed with his light, upbeat manner on the 'day of'. The pictures were AMAZING- we loved every picture and he really captured the fun, beautiful, and intimate essence of our day. He took the time to deliver the 'best' pics in a traditiional wash, vintage-y warm wash and also b & w which looked awesome. The hardest part was selecting the 40 to go into the physical album since we loved them all. I've seen wedding pictures that are stiff and with generic poses- he captured plenty of unique, candid and emotion focused photos of the bridal party and of bridal pre-ceremony prep(approx 10-13 different settings around the property) in a relatively short period of time. His wife Jaci captured great pictures of my mom and I, sisters and I before wedding which I cherish. The photo booth was so much fun and we bought instamix prints for our guests to take home which i recommend- Gabe simply takes an instamix(polaroid) shot and a 'pro camera' shot, which enables guests to have a physical memento of the wedding. He brings props which adds to the fun. Gabriel was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional while also being fun and energetic on our wedding day. Leading up to our wedding Gabriel was always easy to get a hold of and during calls brought up things that we never even thought about, to say he was a help during planning is an understatement. We received our photo booth photos the day after our wedding and the full wedding photos about 2 months after. He states the date you will get your photos in his contract and delivered them on time, which was relieving for us to know exactly when we would be getting them and never having to follow up to ask about the status. Gabe was such a joy to work with! We used him for our engagement photos and couldn't be any happier. He is a true professional but also made the shoot really fun. First and foremost, Gabriel and his assistant were stellar photographers for our Winter Wedding early this year. Not only did they care about the photos from the beginning of our day (getting ready etc) to the very last shot of the evening, they were both very personable, upbeat, and you know that he truly cares about his clients while getting the job done. It wasn't just us, but our wedding party along with several guests came to us and raved about their professionalism and care throughout the entire day. He made us feel at ease and well taken care of. It rained halfway throughout our wedding photos, but Gabriel and his assistant was adaptable and even had umbrellas ready for us. These even captured great moments in our pictures. He made sure that my dress wasn't affected despite all the mud and wet concrete. From our first meeting until we got our photos (we got them on Valentin's Day!), our experience was the best. We met Gabe and Jaci at a wedding show in Tacoma and we couldn't have been happier with them. Everything from the initial planning to the engagement pictures and the wedding itself were flawless. We knew we were in good hands when we did our engagement photos. The shoot lasted about 45 minutes but the planning session was probably twice that long - Gabe was a HUGE help as we organized our day. Coming up with a day-of schedule was a little overwhelming for me but Gabe's experience and organization really saved us. He even gave us a list of suggested do's and don'ts - not something you'd expect from a photographer but he was committed to making sure we were as prepared as possible (after all, a smooth day makes his job easier too). I don't know if they're branching out, but they'd make excellent wedding planners as well. The pictures were wonderful as well. Unfortunately, Jaci was sick the day of our wedding but Gabe was able to enlist another great photographer without any trouble. My husband contacted Gabriel after looking at various photographers online. We booked our family shoot after a very friendly and super professional exchange. Gabriel was attentive and quick to respond from the get-go, and our photo day experience wasn't any different. Gabriel was professional, friendly, and so, so easy to work with. We have a rather large family (seven of us all together), and he worked with our large group effortlessly. He was great with our little kids, and had some fun photo ideas for our older teenage boys as well. In fact, our boys were less than enthusiastic about having their photos done, but Gabriel put them at ease quickly, and it shows in portraits.
