This place is decorated with what Kendall Jenner would call grandma vibes ... and I'm here for it. Amazing selection of syrups for coffee drinks, etc and an outstanding line up of desserts. We had a Rueben and a Greek salad. The meat is sliced fresh and is served in delicious bread with an abundant amount of condiments, because let's be honest if half your frig isn't condiments then what are you doing! Lovely family owned and operated place! Staff really cares about their customers and the quality of their food. Everything is made in house and that shows a quality and freshness that can't be matched! I had the Rueben with the Greek pasta and hubby had the 1/2 meatball sandwich with the corn and crab chowder. The chowder was a pleasant surprise, it definitely had a nice kick to it. All of the food was fantastic and I would certainly order any of it again, but I also want to try out more of the menu next time we stop by. We have lived in Raymore for three years and my son and daughter-in-law came into town and we wanted to go for a brunch and found this place and oh my gosh! If you have not visited this place and ordered one of their wonderful menu items than you are missing out! I had the famous Ruben and it's by far the best Ruben I've ever had. My husband ordered the turkey sandwich and there was so much meat on it that he couldn't even finish it. The salads are wonderful and the desserts are wonderful. Very nice owners! read more

I have to admit that I have committed a crime for having seen this place in searches for places to eat, but never actually stopped by and tried their food until we did today. This place has every intent on stomach satisfaction at a reasonable price. The place is Greek owned and has a menu that has American and Mediterranean food to choose from. I chose the Reuben sandwich based on the menu's claim as best in Kansas City. I will tell you this is not just a claim, but a fact. I've gone to other places for Reubens, places that people have suggested Reubens, and I would be sadly disappointed with a fragment of what they serve here. This was the best Reuben I've had since the days of New York Deli off of Troost (if you recall that place). This Reuben was enormous and it seemed to have more than half a pound of corned beef that I saw them shave well before they made it. There appeared to be more meat than their wonderful marble rye bread, which made me wonder if it was homemade too. The Greek pasta salad for my side was indeed homemade and one of the best pasta salads I've ever had. My husband ordered the Turkey Reuben club and he enjoyed it too. It also had ample amount of turkey in it. We purchased an apple cake to go, and it was delightful to have later at home with some coffee. I am sure I will return to enjoy more of their menu items. The only nitpick I have about the place has mostly to do with cleanliness. I know some of the best places can be hole-in-the-walls. However, the door to the bathroom had grime all over it, and after I washed my hands, I just used a paper towel to open the door handle. Additionally, I found some clutter (it looked like craft boxes or something?) near the entry door way. A little TLC would help this little gem that has good food to offer. read more

A nice little hidden gem tucked away in Raymore. After having lived in Raymore and the area for a few years, I had never stopped in. I only bit the buttle while back up for a few days for work/visiting family and was glad I did. Ordered the bacon, egg, & cheese croissant sandwich for an early breakfast one morning and was amazed that it was the entire size of the to go container. Most places use the standard size croissants but these were the jumbo ones. Even after waiting about 5 minutes the sandwich was still piping hot and the croissant was super flakey and fluffy. I went back in for lunch the next day and ordered the Reuben. To say that I was expecting the sandwich to be half the size is an understatement. The sandwich looked to have a pound of corned beef sandwiched between several slices of swill and massively think marbled rye bread. I ended up only eating half for lunch and ate the other half for dinner. I should have know from the prior day but I took a bite out of the sandwich after 5 minutes and almost burned my mouth. The sandwich had the perfect ration of thousand island and sauerkraut to not make it soggy but give it all the flavor. The display case had a mass amount of homemade pies and cakes but I was unfortunately flying out and could not take any to go. I will defiantly be stopping by anytime I am back in the area. read more

This little home cooking, small-town "diner" is just what you need sometimes. It's nothing fancy with the random decor on the walls for sale (jewelry too) and counters stacked high with everything under the sun - but the people are friendly and the food comes quick. Even if the food does come in styrofoam bowls and paper plates. I've eaten here a handful of times and have been most impressed with the potato soup and Reuben. It's probably my favorite potato soup I've ever eaten! The other food like spaghetti, chicken salad sandwiches, and random daily entrees have been so-so. They run around $10 a person without a drink. I'd say comparable to a Panera with the menu options and prices. Soups, sandwiches, salads mostly. The dessert counter is THE BEST. Give me all the homemade desserts. (Cakes, pies, muffins, oh my) Overall, I like the uniqueness of this place when I'm not feeling a commercial option for lunch. read more

Oh what a gem of a local place! Leave behind the green mermaid and come discover a huge selection of coffees, teas (yes! LOTS of teas!) and freshly baked treats (red velvet cake, coffee cake, and wow those slices were huge!) As a tea lover I was thrilled to see such a large selection, the barista suggested the lemon loaf one and it was a special treat. The aroma was incredible. A small (12oz I believe?) was about $1.50 and my wallet rejoiced alongside my tastebuds. Finally a place that realizes a cup of hot water and 1 teabag shouldn't set you back $3! This is a hidden gem in Raymore. Actually hidden in a strip mall. They're open for breakfast & lunch and both are amazing! For breakfast we always get the Greek omelette. Their biscuits and gravy and so good and cheap! For lunch they have the best Rueben in Kansas City! And their gyros are my favorite around. They make everything from scratch including their breads for their sandwiches, tzatziki and thousand island on the Rueben's. Just when it seemed 2020 had nothing else good in store, I discovered Missouri Mud. I've read the great reviews for quite some time but I was usually there after they had closed. Last week, that changed. I was planning on getting one of their highly acclaimed Reuben sammys but changed my mind when I saw their gyro plate special. For $10 bucks, I was served a Greek salad, spanakopita, gyro meat, pita bread and a drink. As an honorary Greek and authentic lover of all things Greek, I wanted to learn more. I checked out their facebook page and saw they did baked Greek chicken and knew I had to try it. That was yesterday- it was fantastic. And so fairly priced! Again $10.00 for baked chicken (you can choose dark or white meat) potatoes, salad and homemade bread with a drink. And desserts? They have more homemade desserts than several bakeries I've been in. It's amazing. Their coffee equipment looks second to none. I can't imagine them not being able to make the most avid coffee lover very happy. This little family owned restaurant has been in business for 20+ years and I can see why they defy the odds. They work, and they work hard. Both meals and desserts have been delicious. I understand they offer pastitsio at times too and I'm anxious to try it too. I'll certaintly try the Reuben one day, but probably not as long as there is Greek food on the menu. I met a friend for lunch. When she said she wanted a Reuben sandwich, I knew the exact spot to go to. She was very pleased with the sandwich. They pile the meat on high. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was made with cranberries, and good. The service was good and the ladies were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is fair. The tables are not cleaned after each customer, since the customer disposes of their own trash. They close around 3pm. Definitely give it a try and it's worth the drive. read more

I had heard a lot about Missouri Mud Company -- I had gone once when I was younger but didn't remember my experience too well.-- Went with my boyfriend recently, the atmosphere of a cute quaint diner, friendly service, amazing Rueben's and delicious soup! Since the first visit we have had to go back shortly after because my boyfriend really enjoyed it. The Rueben's are huge. Delicious deserts. I love the iced vanilla lattes. The chicken salad is to die for and the cakes are off the chain. Everything was prepared fairly quick. It was an inviting atmosphere I was greeted with a smile. The owner I presume, while she's making your cup of coffee or sandwich or whatever it is she's doing at the time, she's giving you dirty looks and not even acknowledging you. Even if you just placed an order. You won't get a greeting or a goodbye if you are being safe and protecting the community around you by walking into her establishment wearing a mask, you will be judged and it will be known with her many side eyes and glances. I feel so sorry for this lady, to judge others so harshly based off her own selfish opinions. Even tho Cass county does not have a mask mandate it still shows your character if you choose to wear a mask or not. Your character & attitude, Miss. is astonishingly disgusting!
