What a unique concept and idea located in the heart of downtown OPKS. If you never been here before, think of it as place to come when no one in your group can decide what to eat. They have pizza, coffee, bar, Mexican and lots more. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. There is also a parking garage nearby. You can order food and drinks at your table or walk up to place your order.

I love visiting food halls when traveling because there's truly something for everyone, and you can mix and match dishes from different spots. At Strang Food Hall, I especially enjoyed that each restaurant shares a little story behind its name, it adds a thoughtful, personal touch to the experience. During our December 2025 visit, we tried a few dishes from Anousone and grabbed a pizza from Norcini. There's also a sushi spot, a bar, a café, and a taco place, so it's easy to please even the pickiest eater in your group. There are plenty of tables and seating inside, plus outdoor dining for when the weather warms up. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the vendors.

I love me a good food court! Strang hall has great vibes and even better food. We ordered from Anousone, Pizza Kraft, and Beer Kitchen. Ordering was easy (at the counter or via Toast). Everyone enjoyed their food. No complaints here!

**UPDATED REVIEW** This review doesn't take anything from my previous reviews but does knock it down to 3 stars due to one important factor: FOOD! The best meal in the place is the Birria Quesadillas by far. Anytime I've ordered anything different I've always been disappointed, and tonight was no different. I decided to try the lasagna because I love my lasagna made with Italian sausage. On the menu it clearly states two options one with and one without Italian sausage of course, I opted for the one with the Italian sausage. That would've been great however I could not taste the Italian sausage. They served it in a bowl and the bowl had some kind of a liquid in the bottom. It was terrible. 3 stars is being very generous on this occasion.

What a great food stop. There's about 5 different food providers. You can order everything by QR code and they bring to the table. You can order from every restaurant!! We had the lasagna. It was ok. The fried Brussel sprouts and the crab rangoons were delish!

Shrimp and grits was what I ordered today! So flavorful and really good overall. However, it was just lukewarm temperature wise at best. That was disappointing. We also had gyoza off the happy hour menu. It was piping hot and delicious!

I absolutely love this food hall hangout spot! Strang Hall is such a fun, versatile place with tons of seating both indoors and outside. You've got your pick of 5 different restaurants, plus a coffee shop and a bar. There's something for everyone! Ordering is super convenient you can scan the QR code at your table to order from there, or walk up to each individual counter. There's even a to-go counter, and there you can check out yard games to play in the courtyard! I came early on a Friday morning, but I can totally see this place getting busy later in the day. It's got such a great vibe, perfect for a hangout with friends or a relaxed outing with the family. Honestly, the hardest part is just deciding which restaurant to choose!

Love this place! So many great options, lots of seating, and fun outdoor area. We got food from beer kitchen and the turkey turkey sandwich was phenomenal!! Bbq platter style/thick cut turkey with turkey bacon, avocado, tomato, chipotle white cheddar, chipotle aioli on sourdough -- soooo delicious! My boyfriend got the Burt End Benny and said the biscuits were a little dry, but the burnt ends were good. Great place for lunch & medium to big groups since there are a variety of options and so much open seating.

This was my first time after hearing good things from a lot of people for a long time. It didn't disappoint. I split the Hearty Yellow Curry with veggies and Sticky Rice plate with lemongrass beef from Anousone. It was so good that there wasn't a speck of food left. We soon followed up to order a gooey s'more cookie from Strang Cafe, I watched the guy behind the counter torch the marshmallow to make it fresh and gooey. We went with a group of people this place makes it easy since everyone was able to order whichever kind of food they craved. The atmosphere was casual and there were yard games outside.

Strang Hall - Something for Everyone! One of my favorite things about Strang Hall is that it's perfect for a group that can't agree on what to eat--there really is something for everyone. We made the rounds this visit and tried a little bit of everything: * Grilled Bread & Ricotta (Solstice): Honestly, this was a standout. The bread was perfectly toasty on the outside, soft on the inside, and that whipped ricotta? So creamy, with just the right drizzle of honey. Simple, but so satisfying. * California Roll (Tora Zushi): Fresh and clean. A classic done well--not overly fancy, just solid sushi that hit the spot. * Banh Mi (Anousone): Great balance of flavors. The pork was tender, and the pickled veggies had the right bite. The bread held up well too, which can be rare with banh mi. * Fries (Fenix): Can't go wrong here. Crispy, golden, and not too salty--definitely worth grabbing as a side, or just to snack on while everyone else decides what they're ordering. * Bonus Treat - Boba from Strang Café: Sweet little surprise to finish things off! The boba was soft and chewy, and the tea wasn't too sweet, which I appreciate. This spot makes it so easy to try a bunch of different things in one place. The service is usually super quick (even when they are slammed busy). Great for date night, family dinner, or catching up with friends. We'll definitely be back!

This is such a cool spot - a modern take on a food court. They have a great range of different types of cuisine available, a coffee shop and a full bar. The blend of indoor and outdoor seating makes it a great spot for any weather. I ended up choosing pasta from the Italian spot, but it was such a tough choice to pick one place. The food was delicious and ready quickly. It's a phenomenal spot if you're on to go or just looking for a casual stop.

Here's what I love about Strang Hall - it really does have something for everyone. So it's great to bring a group of people who may have varying ideas of 'what's good'. When we went, I got the Banh Mi, which is a Vietnamese sandwich with pickled veggies - carrots, cilantro, jalapenos, pickled cucumbers, three-spice hoisin sauce and yummy aioli sauce. It was absolutely awesome! The staff at Anusone (one of the many shop/vendor options) were great too - very friendly; it seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. This is a little bit of a drive for us, but it's so worth it!! I would say it's a little on the pricey side, as far as bang for your buck. :) But still wonderful, and we'll definitely be back.

This is specifically about Strang cafe, stopped by to get out of the cold at the Lenexa farmers market. The other coffee places were so full, that we took a short walk. This was a great idea as their dark mocha expresso was do delicious, better really than other nearby places we have tried. Great service too and lots of seating in the morning .

Ask the Community - Strang Hall

    Is it dog friendly?

I'd say it's not dog-friendly in the winter because it's an indoor food hall, but once the outdoor space opens up, it may be more dog-friendly during warm weather if you have someone you can leave your pooch with while you order and pick up food.

    Is Strang Hall Kid Friendly?

Yes! At least during the day when I was there, there were many kids of all ages.

Stopped by this afternoon and ordered Coxinha's ($7.99) and a sandwich to-go at the kiosk so I could head to my hotel quickly, before traffic picked up. Total was $23.44. However, the kitchen kept "rejecting" my order! When I complained, I was told it was because I was ordering the pork sausage sandwich ($12.99), which they'd run out of! So I switched to the chicken doido sandwich ($11.99) and the order went through! Total was $22.32. Upon checkin, I ate my food. Enjoyed the Coxinha's (fried chicken dough balls) especially when dipped in the delightful Chimichurri sauce. The sandwich was cold and the fries inedible. Afterwards, I found out my credit card had been charged 7 times - six times wrongly for $23.44 - which were my persistent attempts to order a pork sausage sandwich, and the seventh time correctly for $22.32 for the order I ended up taking away! Unlikely I'll eat here again. And I'm certainly not using the kiosk!

I opted to order from Pigwich and went with the Jalapeño Popper Brisket Sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. The sandwich was very good and a good size, and the fries were ample and fantastic. I was very satisfied, and for $32 for my meal, a Diet Coke with refills, and a tip for table service, I thought this was fair. My server was friendly, smiled my way often, checked on me, and brought the bill with a way to pay via QR code.

My first selection was "not available" when I tried to submit my order, so plan B was some chicken wings from Mr. Wingz. After ordering you can go back to your car and wait for a text or sit on a bench or stool in the tiny claustrophobic waiting area that resembles a tiny bus station lobby. After a 12 minute wait my name popped up on a screen and a lady behind the counter called out my name and I was on my way. There are lockers that are used for Grub-Hub style pick-up's. Although I was not impressed with my food, the concept is certainly unique and for better or worse, what the future holds. Ralphie predicts that these multi-tenant ghost kitchens will be popping up everywhere soon. Myself; I prefer Parlor a few blocks over for variety and a fun Dine-In experience.
