I wish the coffee was a little better (the beans taste a little burnt, and it's a little too sweet for my liking). The blueberry donuts (both cake and old fashioned) are a family favorite. My son and I live near Baxter's so it's a frequent stop for us. Some things are great and others I leave behind. The coffee drinks are very hit and miss. They have a lot of sugar free options which is phenomenal but sometimes the coffee is bitter and awful. It's not often but occasionally. What is always awesome is at service. I have been many many times and the girls that work mornings and late afternoons are always polite and respectful. I also frequent inside and the drive thru and the lobby is always kept clean, is open and bright. It can get crowded between the line and tables in a busy morning but it's hard to sit and talk but it's still great. Donuts we prefer include anything Bavarian filled, the old fashions, cruewlers and most of the cake donuts. read more

Ok so I've been trying out new to me donut shops as I'm not happy about Lamar's pricing. So I've gone to a few other donut shops but haven't been that excited about many of them. That's also true for other shops that are rated highly and have had some glamour shots done to make them look the best. Now all that said, I'll be coming back here routinely. Donuts are as good as Lamar's, and cheaper. We went in and the dude said we only have what you see left on the shelves as they were hit pretty hard early in the morning (as donut shops routinely are). We picked out 12 different donuts and were happy about all of them. Really there were maybe 2-3 that we probably won't order again as they were fine but not as exciting as the other 9-10. The building is well marked with enough parking. We got thru the line quickly, and the people working were nice enough to us as new customers......so we will return. read more

I don't know what happened today. If it was me or not. But I had the best apple fritter I've ever had. When I do do it shops that's one of my go to items. Most places are about the same. But today.....Baxters did it. I dont know who made the Apple Cinnamon confection today but they must have been in a great mood. It was light and fluffy and moist. Super "cinnamony" and perfectly sweetened. Literally the best fritter I've ever had. So light I did t feel weighed down. Maybe they just changed the grease. Idk. Definitely a taste bud win! read more

Lovely donut and coffee shop. The bathrooms are clean. The coffee is good. I had their house blend with cream. Their donut case is huge, selections of cake and raised donuts, danish and turn overs. I was overwhelmed by the selection and variety. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, and Biscuits and Gravy until 10:30 am. Plan to go back on Saturday with Mr. G. for Biscuits and Gravy. Friendly staff that are very attentive. This place is a sweet lovers haven. As well as donuts and pastries, they have fudge, cotton candy, and jelly belly jelly beans. They also have a nice cooler selection of pop, energy drinks, Gatorade, water, milk and juice fir those non coffee drinkers. Some indoor seating. I got my coffee roll and coffee to go. Great donuts! A coworker brings donuts to the office every Thursday and this week she changed from the usual donut shop and brought a box from Baxter's instead. All the donuts we got were yeast donuts. I tried a glazed twist, cinnamon sugar twist, vanilla frosted long John, and a German chocolate long John. The German Chocolate donut was delicious! I've seen this type as a cake donut before, but never as a yeast donut. By the time I got to the office there was 1/3 of a German chocolate left, so I'm assuming it was a long John or large bar shaped donut. I would definitely get this again. I had a couple bites of the glazed twist and sugar twist throughout the day and really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar twist. I did notice that these were pretty dried out by the end of the day, though, as people cut bites off of them throughout the day. The vanilla iced long John (white icing) is not something I've tried before, but there was a whole one left at the end of the day, so I took it home for dessert. Even though it hadn't been cut into at all, it was starting to get a bit dry and stiff by 8pm at night, so these are definitely best eaten as soon as possible. Always want to add that you can tell the energy between the team is good and they were happy to be at work which was nice to see. We went with their new Frescas & a cold brew. Both Yummy! We needed up ordering round two before we left. How could we not, it was happy hour still, 50% off! Def coming back to try the doughnuts .. they were huge! read more

So so so good - finally!! A close and fresh source for French crullers !!! My absolute favorite donut ever. You can also order online in advance since they shelves clear quickly. The staff are super nice and patient since I've never seen a Baxters menu before and even provided recommendations for their favorite stuff there. They sell fudge and breakfast sandwiches, too. This place is only up the street from me and is now the closest donut/coffee place to my house. I'm just happy to find that they had milk alternatives available - calling all lactose intolerant coffee babes! We've been heard. I'll get more photos soon since I'll obviously be living here part time. Jan 2nd 2023 update: donuts are still great but they've stopped making crullers :( I dunno if it's just high demand or they can't keep up with the machine? I don't know. Also the staff seem to be struggling pretty bad to make lattes accurately. I came in with my brother and they got both our drinks wrong. I came back and had to have them remake it because I do have a dairy allergy and they seemed happy to remake it but the second drink - while dairy free - wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a toffee latte and was handed a sugar free vanilla. I can definitely taste the difference and when I got home I wasn't able to finish it because I really dislike sugar free vanilla. I am keeping their rating at a 5 because I desperately want them to have a great start - I will return and possibly attribute their mistakes today to just having a super over busy day after the holidays passed through. If after a few more visits the issues remain the same I will update the official review. Additionally I had mentioned before that they have an online order option but upon further inspection found that it's very limited to manager specials and requires many days in advance notice. I can't order crullers even in advance? I dunno it just seems more catered to businesses rather than individuals. I'll keep ya posted! Crossing fingers they bring back crullers. read more

Oh my goodness!!! My favorite place for coffee and donuts. Friendly staff, ample and comfortable seating, as well as phone charging stations. The coffee menu is extensive and the flavor is amazing. Wonderful donuts! You can get sandwiches her too. This place is even open till 7pm on Saturday. We got here at 3pm on Saturday. Being that this is our first time coming to this location, I thought they would be sold out, but as you can see from the pictures, they weren't! There's plenty of seating space, and it's very clean. We, husband and I, came here today after finding out that this shop opened on Tuesday the 27th. Living nearby, we had seen the entire construction, and anticipated another place to visit for breakfast and hopefully good donuts. This new donut shop has exceeded our expectations. The coffee is decent for the typical brew one would find at a donut shop. It wasn't watered down hot tea, but had decent strength. *I'm cognisant of those who want a good brew. As far as the donuts go, I found them to be delightfully tender. My husband ordered a apple fritter and he said it was very good, better than he expected. I ordered a cinnamon powdered donut (hadn't had one in a while) and found it to be delicious. My other choice was a maple-iced cake donut that was surprisingly moist, not a hard cake donut with crusty icing, such as the type you might find elsewhere. For those who find my review and happen to be traveling through this great little city, down 50 highway, and want something other than the golden arches, just head down Todd George to Langsford and enjoy! read more

Doughnuts were very good. The croissant breakfast sandwich was no a croissant, but a bun that had the shape of a croissant. It was more like a hamburger bun. The sandwich was cold and the cheese. Ever did melt. I asked for the caramel Bismarck as listed on the sign, and I was given a glazed. The coffee (just black) was very good. I will go back after the staff gets better trained. read more

We have been to so many expensive coffee places that claim to be wonderful. But when it comes to a plain cup of coffee Baxters is the best! We don't really care for fancy coffee's and I suppose the expensive coffee shops are good if you want a latte or a cappuccino but when it comes to a regular cup of coffee they really do suck. We hadn't heard of this chain and went as we are in Missouri for a wedding. Skip it. The displayed donuts look fantastic. But they're dry, old, and generally average ti below average with clearly substandard ingredients. We bought biscuits and gravy and a biscuit egg sandwich. We waited over 5 minutes for my sandwich and 15 for the biscuits and gravy with an entirely empty restaurant at 9:00 on a Sunday morning. (This should have been our first clue) They placed B&G on the drive through tray instead of at the counter. Lots of young eager people who clearly just hadn't had good training. Management hadn't really worked systems out and the only way this place will survive with such below standard food is to try to manage their systems as reheated food needs efficiency to make it palatable. Seems they are trying to get the TIm Hortons vibe down but it is clearly not even close in taste at all. Hard to find good work these days....so the two stars are to account for that. Otherwise this would be at zero. Baxters? Capitalism is good until it isn't. Everything looks shiny but stop opening locations without improving your food and giving management enough time to train and work things out. You are failing. Not your people.
