These…read morepatties are clearly fresh, hand-formed, and cooked to order nothing like the frozen, pre formed disks from a school lunch line. If yours tasted bland, maybe you missed that this place leans into fresh ingredients over drowning everything in sauces. Not every burger needs mayo or mustard; some let the beef and toppings speak for themselves. As for the soggy bottom bun yes, fresh veggies release moisture. That happens in seconds anywhere if you don't eat quickly. But calling the whole experience "meh" while admitting you're going back for breakfast? That tells me the place clearly has redeeming qualities. You even said burger preferences are subjective, yet your review reads like an objective takedown. Bottom line: If you want a greasy, sauce slathered chain burger, go to Five Guys. If you want a solid, no-frills non chain burger with good service and plenty of seating (as you noted), this place delivers. And clearly, you agree it's worth a second visit.

When it came to the food, it was meh at best. We got the jalapeno burger and the avocado burger. The patties are reminiscent of cafeteria burgers in school. There was no mayo or mustard or any type of sauce on them. The bottom bun was soggy shortly after being served, likely due to the veggies. Needless to say, we did not get our burger fix. So we won't come here again for that. Burger preferences are subjective, so just because it wasn't for us doesn't mean you can't try for yourself. We do plan to go back to try the breakfast items though.

He gave me some great recommendations for other breweries to check out (besides Crane, of course) as well as local bbq recommendations. The beer was solid - it was a bit heavy on hazy selections due to a hazy promo they were doing, but there were plenty of other styles to choose from. The food consisted mainly of premade sandwiches and appetizers, but they were fresh and warmed up when ordered. The Cuban and soup were great, and better than most pub food offerings. All in all, Crane is a good brewery with friendly staff, a solid variety of beer styles, and a small but tasty selection of food. I'd recommend any beer snob check it out when in the area, and hopefully you'll have Charlie pouring beers and chatting with you.

Sigh...this was a nice place for quiet evening options in the L.S. area, particularly for places that open until 9; however, they began hosting karaoke, open mic nights, and the like. Nice option, if this is your cup of tea, and understandable because they needed the business for the evenings. Kudos to them for getting more business this way. It appeals to the folks around here. Maybe, I'd find it appealing if a coffee shop had an open mic night for poetry and prose, sort of how the Beatniks did it in the late 50s to 60s, but that's just me.
