If yours tasted bland, maybe you missed that this place leans into fresh ingredients over drowning everything in sauces. Not every burger needs mayo or mustard; some let the beef and toppings speak for themselves. As for the soggy bottom bun yes, fresh veggies release moisture. That happens in seconds anywhere if you don't eat quickly. But calling the whole experience "meh" while admitting you're going back for breakfast? That tells me the place clearly has redeeming qualities. You even said burger preferences are subjective, yet your review reads like an objective takedown. Bottom line: If you want a greasy, sauce slathered chain burger, go to Five Guys. We were on the hunt for a really good, non-chain burger. After looking at reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Service was good. It is not a big place, but plenty of seating. When it came to the food, it was meh at best. We got the jalapeno burger and the avocado burger. The patties are reminiscent of cafeteria burgers in school. There was no mayo or mustard or any type of sauce on them. The bottom bun was soggy shortly after being served, likely due to the veggies. Needless to say, we did not get our burger fix. So we won't come here again for that. Burger preferences are subjective, so just because it wasn't for us doesn't mean you can't try for yourself. He got himself a meatlover's burrito if I'm not mistaken and I ordered one of their classic plate builds. I was expecting the popular and typical fruit bowl of melon, strawberries and grapes but instead got a berryful-berry bowl ! As silly as this sounds, Because I got a bunch of berries I felt Super lucky! Raspberries and black berries aren't common in American-style breakfast diners, so I enjoyed those flavors I haven't experienced in a long time! That was a very pleasant surprise for both of us! ^_^ Other than the food hitting the spot and being prepared perfectly, their customer service was wonderful and comfortable for us both and honestly, we quickly decided it might be our new breakfast spot when eating out early in the day. At this cute little diner the food portions are more than generous. The menu is large and the staff is friendly enough. I just want to mention I'm from Austin, so everyone's food taste is different throughout the states. The gravy isn't home style or hot, but the bacon is plenty crispy and tasty. I can see why this is a great local choice. They serve Coke products here, and I never got my sweet tea so I couldn't tell you if it was good or not. went out with my boyfriend, got the sizzlin cinnamon roll it was soooo hot we couldn't eat it for a good 10 minutes and by then the pieces were pretty much hard. i got the ginger skillet really good flavors slightly on the oily side though. wouldn't say it's worth coming back to but it was a good experience to try out. read more

In search of chicken fried steak, they have country fried steak. And the coffee is $1.89 not $4.89 like the place down the street, breakfast and lunch lovers. The country fried steak was ok. OK so wow. This place is around the corner from my family's home in Kansas City. Noone had ever been so I said let's go! This may be some of thee best breakfast food I've had while back in KC. (I can't wait to get back to brunch in LA tho) these omelets they served us were incredible! The biscuits were soft and moist! The plate size pancake was crispy on the edges and everything! Solid breakfast!! We were looking for a new place for breakfast, specifically a good breakfast burrito, so to Ginger's we went. Upon entering, it was quiet with not many patrons, but we received a warm welcome and were promptly seated. Throughout our visit, our server was incredibly attentive and helpful and made us feel like regulars. And it got busier as the morning went on. He told us the menu was an "all-day" menu, which made my brain explode trying to decide between wanting tacos and sopas and pancakes and omelettes all at the same time. Everything sounded so good and another couple there told us on their way out that we couldn't go wrong with anything! I decided on a bacon & avocado burrito with home fries and a side of pancake and my husband had the steak burrito with hash browns and a side biscuit with gravy. The burritos both had a chipotle sauce and both were delicious!! And huge! The sauces on the side were also yummy, especially the avocado sauce. Get that!! The home fries weren't as crispy as I like, but were ok. And the biscuit was a little tough on the bottom but the rest was nice and fluffy with good flavor. This is a neighborhood gem of a breakfast place. Located in a rather large strip mall with a Red Apple Market anchoring the opposite side, there's an overabundance of parking spaces. Most of the seating is in booths. One of the seats we tried was very lumpy, unfortunately. The wait staff was very attentive and made sure that the coffee and water were continually topped off. The real story here is the delicious food. When you order the scrambles, you can forget about the number of eggs described in the menu. My 2 egg farmer's scramble looked more like 4 eggs. It was so masterfully fluffy! The 2 strips of bacon became 3, too. I usually eat way more than I should in one sitting, but I could not finish today. One of my kids ordered the meat lover's scramble and also had the same issue. Just too much good stuff! The Ginger's burger was a half pounder, but again, it looked so much bigger than that. There may have been a bit too much steak sauce and salt on the burger, but not enough to deter the kid from devouring it. Would highly recommend for breakfast! read more
