Had an Italian Grinder and it was very tasty. Sandwiches come with chips and pickle. Cool and welcoming atmosphere. Everything was on point.

My husband and I headed to Crane Brewing after a nice hike on Blue River Trail. This brewery is pretty unassuming from the outside, but packed with charm (and yummy brews, according to my husband) on the inside. Trying to get to Crane Brewery can leave you wondering if Google Maps got confused. It's pretty off the beaten path. Once you arrive, the exterior, although a bit 'warehouse-y' and industrial, hints at the awesomeness within. The interior is pretty great, striking a nice balance between cozy and cool. When we were there, it wasn't too busy/loud, which was perfect so we could enjoy our conversation without having to yell. The servers were not only knowledgeable about the beers, but also very friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable asking for recommendations and chatting about the bikers who come in off the trail. Speaking of the trail...the proximity to the bike trail seems like a stroke of genius. But it turns out that the brewery was actually there before the trail - they just got lucky and the new trail morphed into a steady stream of business from its bikers. Overall, Crane Brewing is pretty awesome - it's definitely a destination worth visiting...and pedaling to!!

I stopped by Crane while visiting the area, and had a great experience. It was a quiet Thursday afternoon, but the bartender, Charlie, was personable and chatted with me while I was there. He gave me some great recommendations for other breweries to check out (besides Crane, of course) as well as local bbq recommendations. The beer was solid - it was a bit heavy on hazy selections due to a hazy promo they were doing, but there were plenty of other styles to choose from. The food consisted mainly of premade sandwiches and appetizers, but they were fresh and warmed up when ordered. The Cuban and soup were great, and better than most pub food offerings. All in all, Crane is a good brewery with friendly staff, a solid variety of beer styles, and a small but tasty selection of food. I'd recommend any beer snob check it out when in the area, and hopefully you'll have Charlie pouring beers and chatting with you.

We had a great time at happy hour! The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. The space is cool - lots of tables, a huge selection of games, and a big patio for nice weather. They have a wide selection of beers - lots of sours, if that's your jam! The weiss and farmhouse ales are also great. It definitely feels like there is a loyal, local crowd, and we were welcomed into it easily.

I was really excited to finally get a chance to visit the Crane Brewing tap room recently on a trip to Kansas City because I've loved their beers for years now. (Unfortunately all the tea Weiss we stocked up on was accidentally left in our friends beer refrigerator when we drove back to Omaha but I'm sure they're enjoying!) We happened to stop in on a Saturday afternoon during some kind of biking rally (bicycles, that is) since the trail is just nearby. With plenty of outdoor seating and open garage doors there were no concerns over ventilation either. It was a great fall day to make our own samplers and sip on some amazing sour (and other types, if you're into that) beers! Love, love, love Crane Brewing.

The dry hopped Orange Gose... a very refreshing beer to have in the summer!

I've had several beers from Crane Brewing now and I must say I really enjoy their beer! The Dry Hopped Orange Gose was a great beer that we enjoyed this summer and the dry hopped and orange flavor profile was a perfect pairing! Another beer that I feel like mentioning is the Shock beer which was a fruited beer with blueberries and lactose. This beer proved not to bee too sweet unlike some fruited beers and was an excellent beer to relax to. I definitely recommend Crane Brewing and look forward to exploring with more of their beers!

Love this Brewery. Quiet and inviting. Stopped by while riding the Rock Hill Trail and hydrated. Always great service and conversation. It's great that they added food.

Stopped for a hydration break while riding the Rock Island trail. Great selection of home brews as well as appetizers. Choose from seating inside or outside on the picnic style tables. The bartender will help you make your best choices for the beer for you. Great place for a stop along the trail!

Polar Opposites sour with a chicken quesadilla and their 'spicy' hot sauce. ;) Come for the beer, enjoy the food, stay for the people.

I've been to Crane Brewing many times in the past but not much over the past year. I have always enjoyed their sours and other beer options and tonight's Polar Opposites sour was a great taste. And, bonus, I ordered hot food! Not something they normally have. There's new things coming to Crane and I can't wait to see it. But more than anything it was great to see old friends who were also glad to se me!

Guys, I'm not even a beer person yet I'm giving 5 stars. That says something. This small town brewery is family and locally owned right in the KC metro. The Crane family has a wonderful story they tell when giving tours (every Saturday) of their facility. It's worth the listen you guys. If you need something to fill your Saturday's with, this is it. A warm welcome when you arrive from the lovely bartenders; a long list of sour beers, ipa's, and all the beers you can think of, plus some yummy frozen cocktails; and sometimes even kitties that roam the place. Crane brewery has spent the last 7 years growing from the KC metro to the surrounding states, and it's no surprise why. The facility is clean, the beers are tasty, the bar is loaded with board games and there's a taco truck outside as well. Check this place out! While you're at it, go ask Mr. Crane for some stories. You won't be disappointed.

This is a fun location right off the bike path, so would be a great place to stop along a bike ride. Although the outside seating did get a dust storm on a windy day. We stopped in just to pick out a 6 pack and they kindly helped us and let us sample our picks. Great service! Good mix of IPAs, porters and sours all with good flavor! We will return for more.

I'm not into beer and neither was my date, figured start with that, lol. I told them that I like sweet drinks and if I drink a beer it's a cider. They allowed us to sample some of their "sweeter" options. I opted for the cider and my date opted for the peach. We were both satisfied with our drinks. The servers were very friendly. We sat next to a couple that had a couple of the beers and they enjoyed it. They go to Taps often so based on their satisfaction and ours, I would recommend coming here!

Stopped here on a drive from St. Louis. We have always been a fan of their sour beers (especially the tea infusions). It was great to get a feel for the vibes. Off the beaten path for sure but a great weekend hang out spot. Of course the beers did not diss appoint. We got a flight - sours were the highlights, though IPAs were good too.

    Do you have cornhole?

Not on a regular basis. We have brought yard games out for special events like our beer festival.

They do offer food and have non alcoholic options. I didn't try the food because I literally ate right before coming here but I definitely want to try it on a return trip. They are dog friendly and I was thrilled to see and get to pet a big puppy who was there being a very good girl. The bartenders have all been super nice. They have a lot of beer. Over 10. I know because we ordered two flights which consisted of five tasters each and we still didn't try everything. But I did enjoy what we did get. They had a really good smoked porter that would pair perfectly with some bbq. And they also had a blackberry lemonade seltzer that was refreshing and perfect for this summer heat wave. If you're in the area definitely stop in.

They also have a good amount of "limited" menu items to eat (loaded fries, pretzels, hotdogs...) They were going to have karaoke that night but I didn't stay that late. They also had a paint/support fundraiser with the KC Zoo going on. I ordered a flight of 5 different beers with were all good with individual flavors and tastes. This will be a place that I stop in more when I'm in the area.
