Had a couple of beers here on a sleepy Wednesday afternoon. The atmosphere was quiet and conducive to deep intellectual discourse, aided by some delicious in house brews. Also came here on a Saturday night in October, with a packed house, an underground haunted speakeasy and merriment in the air, also aided by some delicious in house brews. I'll come back anytime, particularly for the excellent bock. It doesn't hurt that the servers are super friendly, seating is plentiful (maybe not the most comfortable chairs) and there are pinball machines. read more

I didn't even know this existed! It is an actual brewery on Independence Square. Their menu (mostly different beers and a few drinks) is small. But I loved the friendly service and the space itself. It's wonderful for a band-which was why I was there. There's a hallway of art work, with an art studio. Down the hall from there is a window with the adjacent restaurant selling a large variety of flat breads. Again, more artwork. Then you see the barrels and the quaintly decorated bathroom doors. Really, it's worth it to see. I really like 3 Trails Brewery and will return. read more

We visited this brewery for the first time yesterday. They had excellent beer and food. The service was great. The young lady at the bar was very friendly and helpful. We had a ham and cheese wrap, and it was delicious. The cook even took time to come out from the kitchen and visit with us. We will be back!! read more

I really enjoyed this place. They have outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. It's a great place to try their beer and be able to talk to each other. We had a group of friends and it was easy to have conversation. Down the hall you can grab some flatbread and eat it while drinking some delicious beer. I tried the hard soda and it was delicious (so delicious it could be dangerous...in a good way). What is also cool about this place is if you go downstairs they have a haunted house and a speakeasy. We did not do the haunted house, but people coming out looked like they had a good time. The drinks offered at the bar in the basement were fun, great value, and delicious! I tried the Jack O Lantern (because it glows!), Monster Mash, and Goosebump shot. I enjoyed all three. They were mixed very well and tasted amazing. It is a small basement so groups larger than 4 become a little difficult, but still it's worth a visit. Overall I really enjoyed this place, and hope to go back soon! read more

Really enjoy this brewery! Every time we have come here we have had great service, especially when we've been lucky enough to come earlier and sit at the bar. My husband grew up in the area and while we live in chicago now, this is one of our must visit spots when we come see family. We even came here after our wedding festivities. My husband and I have very different tastes in beer and we both find things we like (they have a great selection of sours). We look forward to our next visit! read more

We picked here for date night and it was a nice hidden gem. The facility is large and decorated very cute. The bartender was incredibly nice and they had touch tunes to choose your music. I highly recommend three Trails Brewing, if you enjoy Kraft beer this place is great! I counted 19 different beers all brewed in house. I personally recommend the square lite, which is my favorite. The bartenders will educate you about Kraft beers, but educate you in a nice way. If you're looking for something to do, this place is it, then you can walk around Independence square. I will add there is a flat bread pizza place in the same area as 3 trails with fantastic pizza! I'll write a review on them shortly. read more

Discovered 3 Trails Brewing during Santa-Caligon Day's. We tried the Hard Cream Soda and the Hard Black Cherry. OMG we have new favorites! We bought a 6 pack of each and got some of our friends hooked. Went back yesterday tried a couple of the brews on tap and had a great visit with the bartender. We bought 2 cases of the Hard Soda to take home. Will be back again have found our Cheers Bar! read more

Start off with a flight as that is the best way to sample to figure out what to get a full pour of. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they are brewing. This place is super cool. It's got a tavern vibe with a order at the bar-type brewery service. They have flights! The bartender did not mention them though or we would've had one, each, lol. Wife had the fruity IPA thing, forgot the name, 7% abv then their ultra lager. I had a couple of their Kai lagers, delicious. Pizza from the "food truck" style restaurant, located past a few art studios, yes inside, was delicious. They also have 3-shaped giant pretzels with beer cheese to dip. Again, delicious, along with their special trail mix with a ranch seasoning on it, again, delicious. We will be back to try more beer! Absolutely amazing. Wow, kind of hate to post this as usually places will get super packed, but wow this place is amazing. Their services is excellent and their beer is stupendous. They offer a full bar and the the pours are excellent and spot on. I just can't say enough about this place, just don't like the beer "What a Ride" as I need that to last. We just happened to find this brewery and loved it. My husband is a beer connoisseur and thought the brews were great. The atmosphere is casual and fun--there are even board games to play. Lots of big TVs to watch sports. They do not serve food but you can have food delivered from any of the awesome restaurants on the square. We ordered Chicago dogs and tater tots from UpDog. It was delicious. Try this place out--the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time! read more

Awful customer service. The bartender made a rude comment to me and my partner not even 2 minutes into our visit. We ordered 1 drink and they brought us our check. Gave them a 5 before. Update - Still a 5 star! The thing that stands out for me is every time I come they have even better beer. Love that they have something different every time but it's always good beer. Becoming one of the best breweries in KC area imo. Their stouts are amazing. Getting some great whisky barrels for aging. This is a great place! The beers, full bar & bartenders are wonderful. The space is wonderful, for either a small gather of friends or a BIG gathering of friends.
