I love that they have some standard donut flavors and also more unique ones. Prices are reasonable and they accept card. Last time I visited: $1.59 for a small donut $2.69 for a large donut $3.50 for a cinnamon roll (tastes more like red hot cinnamon rather than the sweet kind, which I don't love but my partner did) Homer's donut tasted fruity. Old fashioned was fine but a little too crumbly. Key lime was good. Apple lace was delicious.

Tik Tok made me do it. I'd been seeing them on social media and decided I definitely needed some donuts. I tried to preorder online but didn't in time so I got up early and headed there. The shop is pretty small and gets crowded so be prepared to wait. But they have so many options that's you'll need that time just to decide. The individuals working were very efficient and friendly. We tried 8 different donuts and honestly they were all good. The pastry and filling were delicious in each one. We didn't try a plain donut but probably should had. I'm sure it's also good. My favorite was the Bavarian filled chocolate long John. For some reason I can never find these anywhere but Hana's had chocolate and maple long John's that they'll fill for you. The other standout for me was the raspberry lace. It was like a donut toaster strudel with a delicious raspberry filling. I don't think you can make a bad choice here. I'm definitely going to return and highly recommend them for all your donut needs.

I went to the viral donut shop. I love the aroma that hits you once you walk in. Went to pick up some donuts for my daughter's basketball team this morning. I thought they were way too sweet but the girls loved them. They like that they have a variety to choose from. The girl that helped me was nice and patient. The other people there weren't super friendly. They are located next to a liquor store. The place was busy at 7am this morning. Probably not worth the drive for me but I would get some if I lived close by.

Sooo good! The best and freshest donuts with such a good selection. We had great service and can't wait to go back. There wasn't a single donut we didn't love.

Heard about this place on tik tok and was not disappointed! Not a huge fan of donuts but these were so good. Definitely a must try in the area. Favorite by far was the pistachio donut.

OMG - I am in sugar nirvana right now! I saw a review for you online that supports local businesses & we sought you out. I am so thankful I saw that reel. These donuts are perfection. Pillowy rings of sugar love... put with a cup of freshly brewed coffee = JOY!! Get yourself to their storefront - you will not be disappointed ~

What appears to be a mom and pop bakery is actually a baker who has carefully done his research and brings himself up to date on the latest trends of flavor in the baking world. The vibes are amazing - I especially love the art piece on the wall he commissioned from a local artist. I saw the Instagram page with several posts explaining how he did each part. Everything was absolutely delicious (I am biased with the ham and gruyere cheese since that is a favorite combo of mine), the danish was delicious (I could tell maybe it uses veryberryosa - a recent trend in baking to be used as filling), and the same was probably on the cinnamon roll looking crossaint. Now the grand prize - the mochi donuts were spectacular. The flavors I got were raspberry almond (my #1 favorite I got twice), cereal (this was carefully curated and not too sweet like most cereal based baked goods), Irish coffee (didn't taste like coffee, gave it to a friend) and the mango black tea was also a slam dunk for me. The staff are incredibly friendly here which is a huge plus!

Unsure if they had more options in the back, but outside of macaroons, no gf options. They do have tea but it's not advertised on their menu. They have such cute teapots and cups for their tea. I went for the pistachio honey latte (I'm a sucker for pistachio!) and snagged the last veggie quiche of the morning around 11am. Both were absolutely delicious and perfect for breakfast. My friend had the rosewater croissant and a strawberry matcha iced latte--both equally unique and delightful. Despite being a bustling Saturday morning, the staff was incredibly kind and efficient. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a cozy spot no matter the weather. For parking, I'd recommend Westport Road or 40th Street (west of Main) and taking a short walk. Preordering whole quiches, tarts, cookies, cupcakes may require 48 hours' notice. Enchanté is more than just a bakery--it's a little slice of magic in Kansas City. I can't wait to go back and try more seasonal goodies!

To step through its threshold is to surrender to the siren song of warmth that curls from the oven like a whispered secret. I have made it my pilgrimage to traverse the entirety of their menu, a culinary odyssey that has yielded no false steps, only a symphony of consistency that borders on the miraculous. Each offering, from the flaky, golden architecture of their pastries to the robust, honest comfort of their savory fare, is a testament to the artisan's hand. Here, affordability is not a sacrifice of quality but a generous invitation, a rare confluence where the exquisite meets the accessible. There is a certain magic in the air at McLain's, a sweetness that feels woven into the very fabric of the establishment. It is a place that understands the language of comfort, speaking it fluently in the dialect of a perfect crust or the rich, dark notes of a expertly pulled espresso. It is perhaps no surprise that such a bastion of authentic delight has garnered a reputation that extends far beyond our local borders; if the standard of excellence is high enough to grace the plate of Taylor Swift, then surely, it is more than enough for us, the grateful residents who claim this treasure as our own. Yet, beyond the flour-dusted counters and the glowing glass cases, my deepest admiration is reserved for their spirit. In a world that often measures worth in cold, transactional metrics, McLain's chooses to honor those who pour themselves into the future of our community. As a teacher, I feel that recognition in the small gestures, the welcoming nods, and the genuine appreciation they extend to educators. It is a profound kindness, a recognition that the work of shaping minds requires nourishment, both intellectual and literal. They understand that a classroom is a marathon, and they act as the essential pit stop, providing the fuel that keeps the light of inquiry burning bright. To dine at McLain's is to participate in a ritual of belonging. It is a place where the passage of time is marked not by the ticking of a clock, but by the turning of the oven trays. It is a reliable heartbeat in the neighborhood, steadfast and true, offering a reprieve from the clamor of the outside world. Whether one seeks a quiet moment of reflection over a cup of coffee or a celebratory feast that honors the simple, profound joy of eating well, McLain's remains an unrivaled steward of taste. It is not merely a bakery; it is the living, breathing soul of Waldo, a place where every bite serves as a reminder that some things in this life are exactly as good as they ought to be.

For the first time ever I used McLain's for catering and I'm officially bumping my review from 4 to…read more5 stars because honestly they did such a spectacular job at such a reasonable price I'm already wishing I had another excuse to order from them again! A few months ago my sister and I hosted a baby shower for our other sister and after looking around an options we decided to go with McLains. It was a smaller group, and we were doing a brunch theme, and our sister LOVES sweets. That paired with our desire to support local, and our shared love of McLains, this was just the most obvious choice. We ended up ordering a cake and first of all I have to say their cake flavor choices are insane - I think we settled on a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling (YUM), but I don't think you can go wrong here. We also ordered one of their pre-set pastry bundles for pick up and honestly everything was wonderful. I think I placed the order about a week out and it was ready when I came to pick it up. What pushed this experience into five star category for me? Just the friendliness of the staff, the serving tools they send you home with, and how thoughtful everyone was. The food was also really just exactly what we needed and it was so good there were hardly any leftovers, I think the kids cleared us out by lunch! At any rate, if you're on the hunt for a great spot to support for your next brunch event consider McLains - they won't let you down!
