How lucky we are to have Donut Palace in Leavenworth! They're open 7 days a week, and the owners are such sweet people. I love stopping in on Sunday mornings since the donuts are often still hot and fresh out of the fryer. So delicious, huge doughnuts, and reasonable!! They fill the Long John's fresh when you order. Don't let the line deter you. It's worth the wait! read more

This is an absolute gem in Leavenworth! The donuts are delicious, the customer service is on point, and the location is an easy drive. We tried a variety of donuts after asking for recommendations of their best sellers. Everything they suggested was incredible. Hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The pricing here is extremely reasonable too and in comparison to chain donut stores they are much more reasonable! If you are in the Leavenworth area this is a must stop for delicious donuts! read more

Great service! The doughnuts are FANTASTIC! Definitely the best ones around for several miles! An employee told me they usually sell out of the bear claws rather quickly and are known for them. So good! Not a lot of room in the store, no real place to sit down. Mainly just come in, pick out your food, and head out the door! Well worth giving them a try for sure! read more

Hands down, best donuts you will find anywhere. Soft, fluffy, they taste so good and prices are just right. Customer service is always fast and friendly and our family can't get enough. Inside is clean and well kept. We're usually picky about which donuts we like but with these guys, all their donuts taste great! Inside is what you'd except from a donut shop. May not look like much BUT service and quality is unmatched. Get yours before they run out and that's usually around 12pm or 1pm. Don't forget to tip read more

Located in an unassuming "drive in" previously known as Sonic , you will find the donut palace. Don't be concerned by outward appearances, the palace is a GEM. The place itself has no seating inside, and even at 12 pm, had a lined up drive thru. We pulled up to the window , and smelled heaven!! The staff was so kind and accommodating. We ordered a few of our favorites that set the baseline for any new donut shop. A chocolate covered long john filled with white "fluff" reminiscent of birthday cake frosting, and plain glazed donuts. Always a good sign- The man said they fill to order. The donut was the lightest I have ever eaten! Soft and yeasty, they were like a cloud. The flavors were authentic- no artificial flavorings here! Never will I visit another donut place. THIS is the KING'S donut place! read more

We drove by the Donut Palace frequently and kept seeing big, long lines on the weekends. I kept waiting for us to take a time to go and visit. I love a good donut shop and it is hard to have a bad donut. The train cars were packed to the rafters when we arrived, but the wait was well worth every minute. The moment we sat down, coffee mugs were ready to roll, accompanied by a basket of warm little donut holes delivering the kind of sweet, sugary punch every mid morning meal deserves. The drinks delivered across the board. I went with the Bloody Mary, served in a classic country jar with the perfect kick of spicy heat. I also snuck a sip of a friend's Mimosa toward the end of brunch, and it was equally refreshing and balanced. The food menu features plenty of creative twists, but the standout was the Smoked Chicken Eggs Benedict. The sweet and savory smoke profile on the chicken paired flawlessly with rich hollandaise and perfectly poached eggs. Across the table, the Reuben was a massive hit--I snagged a few of the accompanying housemade chips, and they were exceptionally crispy and well-seasoned. The Chef Salad and Black Bean Burger earned high marks from the rest of the crew, proving the scratch kitchen handles classic staples just as skillfully as their specialty items. Today I stopped in for a cup of ice and did my usual, handing the cashier exact change and telling her I'm just getting a cup of ice. She was just finished with the only customer in line, but usually I'll do the same if there's a long line. Nobody has ever told me this is a problem for years of doing it 2-3 times a day. Today though she decided it's a problem and, instead of politely asking me not to do it anymore, she raises her voice so everyone in the store turns to look. She says, "SIR, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSACTION! YOU DO THIS TO ME EVERY DAY!!" I responded as I walked to get my ice that she could have simply asked me not to do it anymore without being so rude about it. I got my ice and started to walk out the door. She was standing at the end of the counter talking to this heavy-set, bright red haired, off-duty employee, who I guess is some sort of supervisor, telling her that I do this every day. I said, "All you had to do was say something without being a rude bitch about it," and I walked out the door toward my car, which was parked in the closest handicapped parking spot. The off-duty supervisor followed me out the door like she was going to become physical with me. She was yelling at me like a wild animal. I turned around and said, "Who the EF are you talking to you fat pig?" She actually said, "I may be a fat pig, but I bet you'd like it if I sat on your face!" I can't believe how lacking these people are with common sense customer service etiquette. Both of these employees need to be fired, and the store management needs to be changed. She told me I'm not allowed back in "her" store. I laughed as I drove away. The sad thing is I used to enjoy shopping at this store. I'll make the extra trek to Casey's from now on.

The staff is super kind, the donuts are incredible - Hi, a salted caramel old fashioned? An oreo CRONUT? Tasty apple fritters and a seasonal apple crumble cake donut that has the perfect amount of autumn spice?! - and I may have been there enough to have personally funded continuing education for one or two of their staff members. (Guys, I love donuts.) If you want suggestions, let me know. Eat the plain glazed donuts quickly, or keep them in a super cool, super dry place.

No real fancy coffee, they serve brewed Farmer Brothers and have only 2 sizes, small and medium. They have sweetened coffee creamer rather than half and half. Now the donuts are wonderful.
