Waited 45 minutes for 3 hot chocolates. This was during a downtown event. They were not properly prepared or staffed for the onslaught of orders. I would have appreciated if when I ordered they would have advised me of the wait time. No apologies were given to anyone that was waiting. Felt it was poor customer service. Burr Roasters has moved from their previous location, which I would refer to as nothing more than a hole in the wall in terms of space, to a much better location and sized space. That deserves a round of applause right there. Although this coffee shop is not my favorite in town, it does deserve a lot of credit for serving pretty exceptional coffee, to which I believe is their own blend. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable in case you happen to want to stray from your normal routine. read more

This is a great veteran owned business that goes one step beyond anything I could experience. I often grind my own beans at home and buy the bags at Burr's. They go above and beyond and they really show a lot of care for their customers. When I asked to check on some bags of beans recently, an employee said: "Hey, don't worry, you are on the drive in for me, let me take care of it." and sure enough, after paying, he just dropped the bags off at my house, no-contact delivery (just a wave) and PERFECT beans. It's great to support a local business like Burr's, but the way they go above and beyond tells you that you aren't just supporting them because they are owned by veterans or because the product is good. It is the general attitude that comes from everyone who I've encountered that works there who wants to do everything they can to be helpful. read more

I stopped in for the first time the other day- I'm glad I use yelp because I didn't know about this place. Coffee was delicious, scones slayed, service was stellar, place is cool, cozy and clean. Nice merch for sale. And Kudos for being open past 2pm on a Saturday ! *I'd like to quickly address the 2 negative reviews: The dude trying to make things political about masks!? He didn't even bother to see what the mask mandate was for Kansas before having a mask tantrum? The dudes from coastal Washington state. Enough said. Don't come for me, I recently lived right outside of Seattle for 2 years. Lived through the CHOP/CHAZ mess and all the mask crybabies. I ain't got time for that. The other chick actually says "I love Dunkin Donuts and this coffee is trash". I can't believe she wrote that - how embarrassing for her. At the end of the day - come down and support a great veteran owned coffee shop , support small businesses and support the local community. We're lucky to have such a nice coffee shop downtown! It's all about great coffee and good service. Not weirdo-political-mask-accusations or a lady who opines her deep love of Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Really wanted to like this place as it is a veteran owned coffee roaster in Leavenworth - sounds perfect right? A friend and I dropped by to pick up some beans and grab a beverage. Their space is small but cozy and inviting from the outside. The two employees working were super friendly and helped us make our selection. The drip coffee I got was just ok - it was their dark roast. The real issue was that the employees did not wear masks and it was obvious they were trying to make a statement in doing so. We should have simply left on those grounds but opted to complete our purchase first. Just know that if you are visiting during these times. read more

They had a lot of selections of coffee drinks. I ended getting a drip coffee and it was good. They also had vegan pumpkin scones that were fresh out of the oven and they were amazing! The new location has a lot more seating and is way more inviting. read more

Great place, coffee is good, very quite. I moved here from Seattle Washington so it's great to find good coffee, especially one that roasts their beans in house. It took a while to come here because the hours are very confusing online when you try to google them. One website even says permanently closed. The hours are clearly posted on the door and they are certainly open. :) great place! read more

My Daughter and I visited on Sunday afternoon. It was our first trip to Leavenworth and your coffee shop was recommended by the girl working at Candle Queen. Such a cute place and our coffees were Fantastic. I had the caramel macchiato and my daughter had the honey latte. And we shared a Chocolate Chip Cookie. When I asked if they were fresh the guy working said his sister had made them the night before. The BEST coffee I have ever had! That is saying something since I travel all over. What luck to have high quality coffee so close to home. Fresh coffee beans shipped from all over the world blended and roasted at this location. You can't miss the giant bean roaster when you walk in....oh and the smell is pure heaven!!! Try their coffee plain or with unique flavors created by a classic trained chef. Small location and may not look like much, but if you want the best tasting world class coffee...look no further. This place has been in my Yelp list since I moved to Leavenworth just over a year ago. I was a regular Dunkin Donuts addict until I moved to the middle of nowhere. I've never been a fan of Starbucks so I would like to find a local place to love, but this isn't it. I was downtown for the Veteran's Day parade and stopped in here to try the coffee. I figured I'd try something random off their specialty drink menu, because after all, specialty drinks are usually pretty good. I got the Cookie Monster and was pleasantly surprised it came with an actual cookie. The cookie was an oversized chocolate chip cookie that was delicious soft, yet not chewy, firm but not crunchy or crumbly. That cookie is the only reason this place gets two stars. The coffee, which I got hot, tasted like trash. It was drip coffee that was supposed to have some kind of flavor but I honestly couldn't taste anything but cream and a bit of sugar. It was bland and bitter. Reminded me of hotel coffee, not the kind in the lobby but the instant powder stuff they have in the rooms. 7-11 or any random k-cup selection would have been a better option than here. Overall, service was friendly but disorganized, prices are reasonable, cookie was delicious, coffee was trash. I won't be back. read more
