I'll give this a solid 3, because of the awesome customer service I always get! The coffee lacks strength, lattes taste like the milk and flavorings used - but no coffee used. Their coffee drinks are insanely overpriced and just mediocre. Ah, a friendly, drive-thru coffee place. I've been looking for a place like this since moving to the area. I can't attest to the coffee since I haven't ordered that here, but I have been happy with their espresso drinks the handful of times I've been here. I especially like their blended drinks. The espresso and flavorings are always perfect--not too strong, not too sweet, and always hits the spot, like a delicious coffee milkshake rather than the sometimes chunky and icy versions that I get at certain big coffee chains. Service is always fast and friendly. They're ready with suggestions and conversation (if wanted) and make the drinks quickly. I have to knock out one star, though, because a few minor service mistakes--one time they forgot to give me a muffin that I had ordered and I had already driven away by the time I realized this and another time I ordered a Caramel Silk blended coffee that calls for caramel whipped cream, and by the time they had already made it and handed it to me I was told they had run out of whipped cream. No biggie, but if an essential ingredient of an item is out I'd like to know. Otherwise, Scooter's is great. I will preface this by saying that this is about the Scooter's in Mosaic Lifecare St.Joseph MO, but they have no yelp page (cowards.) I would first like to note that the barista I got was not only disrespectful but didn't know how to make my drink. I don't know her name, but she looked like a bitch. It was early morning around 7:45 maybe eight, I'm a nurse so I was getting ready for a shift. I'm a regular there, and I used to see this one barista who was amazing, but she left. I miss her. After I ordered my drink (which took five minutes, might I add.) I ordered a carmelicious blender with almond milk instead of normal milk, because I'm lactose intolerant. It's not even funny, it's so bad that I always mention it TWICE to my barista. It did not have almond milk, and thankfully I noticed after the first sip, but she rolled her eyes and sighed when I asked her to make it. Unrelated, but she also looked very unprofessional. I get it's a coffee shop, but when there are stains ALL over your clothes, it's just sad. After I got my second drink, which was finally right she failed to acknowledge me afterwards. I went to work in a horrible mood. I get people have bad days, but this was absurd. I'd also like to mention, that this has not been my only bad experience with this particular barista. read more
