Upon walking in I was welcomed with a warm smile by the owners who are husband and wife. The store has more than just popcorn with candy from all childhoods. Think of that candy you enjoyed as a kid and they have it! They have tons of popcorn--not just your basic butter or cheese. Again, think of a flavor and they have it. Rodney took the time to allow me to try over 20 flavors. He really took the time to talk to me and made sure I knew about their process and the allergens that were in each flavor. You could tell that they really care about the product they are selling and they care about who they are selling to! My two favorites were the sour cream and cheddar and the kettle corn. I like that the sour cream and cheddar was savory and salty and was simply delicious! The kettle corn was not too sweet or salty; and did not taste artificial, which I found was the case with many commerical kettle corn brands. I've been shopping at this store since it opened. In addition to buying cups of ice here 2-3 times…read morea day, I buy everything from gas to milk when I run out and don't feel like driving to Walmart. Today I stopped in for a cup of ice and did my usual, handing the cashier exact change and telling her I'm just getting a cup of ice. She was just finished with the only customer in line, but usually I'll do the same if there's a long line. Nobody has ever told me this is a problem for years of doing it 2-3 times a day. Today though she decided it's a problem and, instead of politely asking me not to do it anymore, she raises her voice so everyone in the store turns to look. She says, "SIR, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRANSACTION! YOU DO THIS TO ME EVERY DAY!!" I responded as I walked to get my ice that she could have simply asked me not to do it anymore without being so rude about it. I got my ice and started to walk out the door. She was standing at the end of the counter talking to this heavy-set, bright red haired, off-duty employee, who I guess is some sort of supervisor, telling her that I do this every day. I said, "All you had to do was say something without being a rude bitch about it," and I walked out the door toward my car, which was parked in the closest handicapped parking spot. The off-duty supervisor followed me out the door like she was going to become physical with me. She was yelling at me like a wild animal. I turned around and said, "Who the EF are you talking to you fat pig?" She actually said, "I may be a fat pig, but I bet you'd like it if I sat on your face!" I can't believe how lacking these people are with common sense customer service etiquette. Both of these employees need to be fired, and the store management needs to be changed. She told me I'm not allowed back in "her" store. I laughed as I drove away. The sad thing is I used to enjoy shopping at this store. I'll make the extra trek to Casey's from now on.
