Delightful coffee shop with house made yummy food, in addition to fabulous coffee. My husband's cafe mocha was delish, as was my cold brew. The breakfast burritos were perfect size and flavor filled! The space is light filled, while being cozy at the same time . Beautiful inspiring landscape photography on the walls. Brett, the barista, warmly greeted the regulars as they streamed in this cold Sunday, and as visitors to the city stopped in, made them feel welcome. While this was our first visit, it won't be our last.

I come here almost every day! Love the staff and owner, they're all so friendly and have great service! The iced americano with heavy cream is my favorite and I'm addicted! Their seasonal caramel apple cider is amazing along with their hot chocolate! I also love how their to-go cups are paper, I absolutely think that's so great!

Cinnamon roll and iced latte was great this time. I didn't have the best coffee last time and wanted to redeem my experience at this place. It was very good. The staff was friendly and it's a very cute shop.

A beautiful little coffee shop with incredible service. The baristas are so friendly & great at their job. They use Rochester beans (a local roaster is always a plus) & they definitely got the best flavor out of their espresso pulls. The summer menu looked enticing, but the classics are always a great way to test & see how good a barista is. I can't wait to go back & spend more time in this peaceful coffee shop.

    Event and restaurant space.

Very cute place. I think the lattes could definitely be a bit richer in flavor for the price though. A bit too thin for my liking.

Paige answered me almost right away was very helpful to not only help me reserve the space where the couches are, but add chairs as needed and be accommodating. My visit was on a Saturday morning. At that time they were not busy, which made our coffee quite peaceful to hold conversation. They were able to work with me on food modifications, and I ended up having a lettuce wrapped burger, as well as some delicious coffee drinks. I ordered some seasonal specialties they had and was not disappointed. The service was very nice, and they brought your food and drinks out to you. The space itself is very fun. It's a lively open colorful atmosphere with cute signs and is well decorated. It would be a very nice place for conversation, reading a book, or working. They also have a game room with a pool table and board games to choose from for some game time. They have an events calendar too! I would highly recommend this place as I feel like it's friendly for individuals and families alike. It will be in rotation of places I visit going forward.

**I have been to Scout Coffee so many times, I can't believe I have never reviewed it!! Weird**…read more I am a bit of a (self-prescribed) coffee snob. I don't want to drink any other coffee but really, really good craft coffee. If I drink anything else (from a fast food place, or Starbucks, or a Keurig), I will only do so if it's the only option and only if there is heavy whipping cream available. Scout Coffee is my saving grace while I am in Blue Springs. Their coffee is excellent, as good as some big dogs (like Onyx Coffee, Black and White, Intelligentsia, or Counter Culture). Great flavors. Great pour over options. Wonderful seasonal drinks that are not too sweet (although I wish they used better syrup, like Pink House Alchemy). They also serve some bakery items (limited) that are very good! I love their cinnamon sugar posh tart. The atmosphere of the shop is eclectic but comfy. Weird decorations, but it works. In the warmer days, the front porch is a great place to sit and visit with friends, or read a good book. They have good merch options and sell their coffee by both the bag and the bucket. All in all: excellent coffee. Worth the drive if you are 20-30mins nearby in KC. Oh, and the service is excellent! So friendly. So helpful.

This one was no exception, but I do believe it might remain the reigning champion. First of all it is a coffee shop in the basement of a church, and its name implies that it is religious. So the reviews that act surprised or give lower ratings for that reason are silly gooses. The ambiance is outstanding! It is a whole vibe. You are surrounded by books, some of the tables have pew seating, there is a kids area, they sell T shirts cheap ($7) and used books at an amazing deal. New books are priced as marked with regular retail pricing. I was shocked at the number if new hooks they had. The crowning jewel for me was they have natural house made (or local bought) syrups so you are not getting a run of the mill commercially based anything. I expected that to limit their menu but it didn't! I had the caramel crunch chai, hands down best chai I have ever tasted. I wanted to chug it. My friend loved her drink that had winter mint! I also splurged on a winter pomegranate spritz and cake pops to go. This is a coffee shop where you come in, slow down and enjoy the experience. I do not recommend this place if you want a quick coffee to go. The Barista was exceptional and she put time and effort into each drink. She did get backed up because she was all alone when a coworker called in and got slammed! She was clearly overwhelmed but never once rushed a conversation or made any of the customers feel like she didn't have time for them. Rare beauty in this rushed world we live in. She encouraged checking out the gorgeous sanctuary and stained glass windows upstairs in the sanctuary and shared stories about them. I never once felt like I was in a church basement- if that makes sense. It was warm, cozy and inviting. This is my new weekly spot! PS the kids area has a full tote of scrapbooking stuff, and the tables all have cards where you can write up a handwritten note and they send them of somewhere to spread joy and kindness. It does not get better than this.

The last I knew that the space had been an events / wedding hall, a B and B and vacant. Little did I know was that it had been reformed as an Anglican church and the coffee shop was being ran by the church in the basement. The vibe was just kinda weird...it's basically a cluttered Christian book store and gift shop serving coffee and sandwiches. The staff were polite but not very welcoming; I felt like I was intruding on a private function that didn't want me there. I took my Mocha Cream Breve' and went out on the patio for some views of the beautiful historic structure. When asked about their source for coffee beans, I was told "we get em from someplace in Arkansas". OK!?? I'm sure that some demographic here in the bible belt will find this basement quaint and charming, but it just gave me a desire to go spend my money at a more secular venue.
