If you're looking for a chill place to get coffee, tasty food and play games with friends, you gotta check out Nirvana! I stopped in for my first time yesterday, needing to work on some stuff. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. I wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was which was awesome - so you have lots of seating choices. I ended up ordering a mango peach smoothie which was created by one of the owners. SUPER friendly staff that makes you feel welcome the whole time. I didn't order any other food but I saw the dishes they were bringing to other customers and they looked delicious!! I'm for sure coming back to try out more of their menu! Overall the place was very well kept, clean with a super outstanding staff. Many of the other customers there were playing games so it seems like it's pretty common gaming spot for people to hangout with friends. I plan to come back many times when either I need to work again or want to bring my friends and play a board game. Definitely a hidden gem! I will be a returning customer!

Nirvana - a transcendent state; an idyllic place; or a punk grunge band from the last century. Nirvana Coffee Bar and Game Lounge is In Bloom with both definitions - a place to enjoy a coffee beverage, grab a snack, get a massage, play video games, enjoy billiards, air hockey or jenga, check-out or purchase local art or just sit in a comfy chair and chill. A perfect place to release your Teen Spirit or just Unplug. I was greeted by a friendly female barista - but this is not About a Girl; it's about the fantastic Nirvana Signature drink she made me. I asked for mine large and blended - espresso, white chocolate and coconut flavorings. So delish that I thought I was gonna have an Aneurysm! There's definitely Something in The Way that the space is laid out and decorated that that provides a welcoming and fun space for all ages. They are also doing an open mic night. This enterprise should be successful since nothing quite like this is anywhere near this area. Nevermind my thoughts, go check out Nirvana ASAP. You can Come As You Are, so don't delay. To those that repeatedly cringed through this review; i offer...All Apologies!

I am still genuinely befuddled at this Friday night dinner experience…read more I came in for a celebratory Hurricane since I'd heard these were great (and we loved their cocktails the last time) and a bite. The place was pretty empty which was unusual; the last time we came in I think was in December and it was slammed! It turns out they aren't serving alcohol right now (apparently an ownership change? I didn't get the full scoop) so that was the first let-down. So fine - I'll just have a bowl of the gumbo. For $29?! And some biscuits. The gumbo comes out in a cracked bowl with a cracked plate underneath and the 3 little crawfish on top are refrigerator cold. Granted, the actual gumbo was pretty solid with the right amount of heft and spice and depth, but even then the rice had some hard pieces in it like it was old. The biscuits aren't anything to write home about and the butter is just meh. I wouldn't spend my carbs there. On top of all that, the waitress literally couldn't be bothered that I existed. I had to pry to get a drink menu (which is when I found out they weren't serving any), I couldn't get any eye contact from her or any kind of friendliness, she asked me if I wanted them to "heat it up" when I told her about the crawfish, and then brought my bill when I hadn't even finished dinner without bothering to ask if I wanted any dessert. And on top of that, there was no mention at all about the dinner issues or any apology whatsoever. I don't need or want a meal comped but for over $40 for a bowl of gumbo and some biscuits (+ tax, tip, etc) I at least expect some acknowledgement or "hey, here's something nice we can do for you". We really enjoyed the last time we were here and this was a genuinely jarring experience compared to that. The place looks pretty rough right now - maybe this is one of those places that has the right vibe in the dark, but nothing felt right about it today, and I'm afraid I can't (won't) recommend it again.

Staff was super friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs, which is always something we like to see. We always opt for the fresh mashed potatoes, the honey glazed baby carrots, and country seasoned green beans... They're always perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. We love the honey buttered fresh croissants they generously serve, complimentary to everyone. I'lI tell you a secret price hack... If you order the veggie plate, which gives you 5 sides: 4 regular sides of your choice, plus a soup or salad (or substitute a 5th side choice instead) then add on a side of 3 thicken tenders (which are hand battered and cooked until they're a moist, tender, crunchy perfection of a tender.) for only $3.99, you'll get a real awesome deal!l It's like ordering their regular chicken tender dinner - but only now, you're getting 5 side choices!!! Doing it that way, you're getting 3 extra sides for the same basic price of the regular tender dinner with only 2 sides! You're welcome! That's my not-so-secret hack now. The chicken wraps were flavorful, fresh, and filling without being too heavy, and the fish was cooked just right--crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, making it a good spot to sit down and enjoy a meal without feeling hurried. Service was also solid--friendly, attentive, and everything came out in a reasonable time. Overall, this location really delivered on both quality and experience. If you're looking for a casual place with consistently good food, this Cheddar's is definitely worth a visit. I'd happily come back again.
