Walking and seeing the vibe of this place was already making it a 5 stars for me but then try the food and coffee was the cherry on top! The person serving me at the front counter was nice and informative since I was a first time guest here. Overall everything was great and they even have an upstairs with more tables! Would recommend this place for computer work or catching up with friends :)
This is a perfect place for lunch! I stopped in on my way out of town. I split the Housewife and the Tomato Basil Mozzarella with a friend. The TBM was well done but standard. The Housewife blew me away!! The bread really was the star of the show on both sandwiches. Everything was fresh and I loved that they had hot and cold sandwich options. I also had a lavender latte which was delicious. Some places are too strong on the lavender, but this was just right. There's a ton of seating and the service is so friendly. Definitely check it out!
Wow! I'm so happy I stopped in this cute little spot. It's a cute little shop tucked into a small office building in a residential area. It's small but not too small with the outdoor and upstairs seating. I was quickly greeted by the very friendly staff after walking in. I asked "what's the best thing on the menu if I was never to be here again (I'm a driver and likely won't)" and she said the bacon Gouda and boy oh boy was it good! The bacon was very high quality and so was the bread. The cheese was super melted and made the almost garlic buttery mayo taste even better. I would highly recommend it and would recommend this place!!
I decided to try a new place near my friend's place in Grandview. This place was easy to find, cute aesthetic and affordable. I ordered online before lunchtime to try their blackberry honey latte with almond milk, the smoked salmon sandwich and the cinnamon roll as the sign online said it was 'almost sold out'. I got a call 10 minutes later with bad news. The cinnamon roll is now sold out and they cannot sell me the smoked salmon sandwich because their truck is not due for a few hours. Instead of cancelling my whole order I opted to try some alternatives. I chose the California bagel sandwich and cookies and cream cookie with the latte. When I arrived 10 minutes later they were still working on my order. However, when I finally received the food, my latte was not included. I asked about that and they made it right away. When grabbing my drink, I asked if there was a price difference of my order. The receipt I was given still included the old items that they were out of. Instead of a refund for the cost difference they offered an additional sweet treat instead. The California sandwich tasted good but the bottom of the bagel was soggy and the bacon could have been crispier. Overall the space was cute, the workers were kind and the latte and cookies were tasty.
We came here on a cold weekend and lucked out, there was still a two-top available inside. The vibe of the space is bright, and the staff were nice when I ordered. I got the honey bear latte, and it was just fine. Something about it felt unremarkable. Solid breakfast sandwiches, otherwise, if you're looking for a substantial breakfast. I got the classic croissant one, and it was just the right amount of food for brunch time. Don't forget to bus your tables. I looked around and spotted where the bus bin was... but most people aren't going to look that low to the ground. There should really be a sign to direct you to where the bin is located, which is under the table where you self-serve your napkins and silverware. Several people around us left their plates when they were done, but somehow we're the only table that was reminded to bus our table? It would've been an excellent visit if it hadn't felt like the dude was chastising us for even thinking of getting up and walking away from the table.

Not only were they well-made and served in a nice, cozy way, but they were also robust sandwiches with plenty of meat and cheese. The staff was kind and friendly. They gave us a quick rundown on all of what they had available and guided us through ordering, as it was our first time in. The place itself is gorgeous. I love the venue and its small-town coffee shop vibe.
Today was our first visit to this brunch icon on Main Street in Grandview. Housewife is comfortable like an old shoe. But only if that shoe were delicious. I think I've mixed my metaphors. We ordered the OG breakfast sandwich, which was the star of the show! It had wonderfully delicious sausage, egg and cheddar cheese on a buttered English muffin. It came out so hot that neither of us could pick it up. Lovely! The sausage was delicious, handcrafted, but not weird. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was served with one giant biscuit, which was absolutely delicious. The gravy is a little different. Certainly not traditional, and probably spiced with paprika due to the color. When they brought out our order, my wife noticed that it wasn't very warm. The biscuit was hot, but the gravy wasn't I asked the server if they had a microwave and she said no. That actually makes me happy. But they gave us a new plate with warm gravy. That was plenty hot. I'm pleased that they fixed the issue immediately. We will most definitely be back to Housewife! Very creative menu and excellent preparation.
We've had Housewife cater my workplace twice and it was delicious. They were very friendly and on time. The only complaint I heard was from people that said that the brownies were super hard or not good. The chicken salad was delicious. One of these days I'll make my way down to try the food at the restaurant.
Went to Housewife Café for the first time and I'm already planning my next visit. My daughter had the avocado toast on gluten-free homemade bread, and I can't stress enough how good it was. The bread was soft on the inside, perfectly crisp on the edges, and it held together without falling apart (which is a miracle for GF). The toppings were layered with so much flavor from the pickled onions, some kind of pesto, crumbled cheese, and perfectly ripe avocado. I grabbed a blueberry muffin, and it was packed with blueberries! They were huge! And the muffin was not that dry, cakey kind you get at grocery stores. This one was super moist and had that crunchy top. My partner ordered the breakfast burrito. It was huge! It was filled with fluffy eggs, meat, cheese, all wrapped up warm. It was super satisfying without being heavy. And the real surprise? The pina colada matcha. Coconutty, tropical, a little sweet, and somehow it made the matcha taste even better. I'd 100% get that again. The place itself is beautiful with lots of natural light, plants, clean design. They have Indore and outdoor seating as well as an upstairs. Chill vibes, friendly staff, and just a really good energy all around. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Easily one of the best brunches I've had in KC.
Brunch at Housewife after a while! My happy place! New management but still the same service and quality! Ordered a California (breakfast option) & Blueberry pancake latte. California bagel is an everything bagel with smashed avocado, tomato, pickled onions with bacon. So gooooooodddd! Loved the flavor in Blueberry pancake latte tooo!
Housewife is a great place to go on a Saturday morning or afternoon. I have tried many of their breakfast items as well as lunch sandwiches. I love how everything is homemade even down to the bread I saw them slicing from a loaf in the back. They always have a yummy assortment of baked goods to choose from as well. My favorite drink to get of theirs is an almond milk matcha! I would most definitely recommend you try this place out!
Super quant space with too many good choices! I loved the oatmeal cream pie the most. Delicious cookie. Look forward to trying the almond croissant next time. I had the chorizo burrito and it was pretty good, not great. They aren't fresh made. Next time I'll try the breakfast sandwich and B&G. Wife got a sandwich, can't remember the name. It was rock solid. I'll definitely return and soon!
Housewife is a little hidden gem tucked away in Grandview! Housewife is a cozy little cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and a delicious assortment of pastries. When you enter, you are greeted by the kindest, most helpful staff. Make sure to peruse the displays of pastries before you place your order at the counter. There are two floors of seating inside and a lovely outdoor patio. The space is small, and I know it can get quite busy on Saturdays, but I was able to snag a table easily on a Friday morning. The croissant breakfast sandwich was perfection. Delicious house made pesto with heirloom tomato, fluffy eggs, and crispy bacon on a buttery croissant. I also had to order one of the beautiful almond croissants in the pastry display, and it was delicious. They have tons of sandwich options for both lunch and breakfast and a lot of signature drinks as well. Something for everyone! There's street parking along Main St, as well as around the corner on 8th St.

We went on a Saturday morning and they were packed!! No seating on the main floor or upstairs. Luckily it was a beautiful day so we got to enjoy their ample patio seating. The women working the cashier was very kind and helpful. Absolutely fantastic quality of food and coffee! Our whole group was impressed with everything that we ordered. The stand out was the bacon Gouda sandwich on some phenomenal ciabatta bread. The bagel was outstanding. The pastry case was drool worthy and we'll have to come back to eat through it. Price wise its a bit on the pricey side but worth it for the quality you're receiving. Lots of free street parking available. Note for the cold brew lovers - they don't serve cold brew so be ready with your back up order. read more

Let me start off by saying that banana foster latte was FIRE! and I did indeed go back the next day to get another one! This was my first time here, and I loved it! They were busy when I arrived so it did take some time to order. Overall though the workers were so sweet and friendly! The ambience is a cute work vibe even though it's small in space, you can see focus on work or enjoy a nice meet up! read more
We were in the area and stopped in for breakfast. I had a latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich. We also shared a cinnamon roll. I enjoyed the latte and I would order the croissant sandwich again. While the cinnamon roll was good, I don't think we would order this again. We stopped in during a busy time but our order was out quickly and we were able to find seating upstairs. While working in the area this place was highly recommended for lunch. From the outside there is a good size patio but a bit confused with the Insurance logo all over as well. Once you walk into the front door you find out that the build houses several different companies. It has an old school cafe vibe with open ceiling architecture. They offer a large variety of coffee options as well as food. I went with the Italian sandwich for lunch. Most of the seats were full downstairs and since it was super windy outside I sat upstairs which was quiet and kind of like a little hide away. My Sandwich was absolutely amazing and from my first bite I immediately wanted to come back and try out the rest of the menu. Portion size was large (but I was craving some thick kettle chips or something with it) The pesto on it was probably the best I have had and I wanted to get a glass of it to take home. read more
Housewife is an outstanding addition to (near) downtown Grandview. The food is prepared fresh daily and you will find that everything is wonderful (reminds me of European Cafe in Springfield Mo) in that respect. Crescents are flaky and perfect with a variety of flavors. The pumpkin muffins with sweet cream cheese are outstanding. Everything is so good. My wife and I have been here at least 20 times in the last year and bought items as gifts as well. Highly recommend if your in Grandview at breakfast time to give this place a try read more

I travel around the KC Metro a lot for work and happened to be in Grandview MO. It was breakfast time and I was hungry. Was looking for something out of the ordinary and ran across Housewife. It's a fantastic space. Good Vibe. They have downstairs and upstairs seating as well as an outside patio. They put a good twist on the breakfast sandwich. I don't think you'll be disappointed! read more

Such a cozy little spot! I stopped in for breakfast and ordered a breakfast burrito, a lavender honey latte, and a pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese icing -- everything was so good! The latte had the perfect balance of floral and sweet, the burrito was fresh and filling, and that cupcake tasted like fall in every bite. The atmosphere was calm and inviting -- perfect for relaxing, working, or just taking a break from the day. The staff was friendly and welcoming too, which made the experience even better. Loved our recent visit to Housewife in downtown Grandview! They have seating indoors and a beautiful patio area with plenty of seating if the weather is nice. It's also located very close to the Grandview DMV. I ordered the chocolate croissant and an iced vanilla latte and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito and a hot coffee. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Thank you for the friendly service and wonderful atmosphere for our Friday morning breakfast. read more

I was so glad that I finally tried Housewife. I don't get over to this area too often but I will definitely be stopping in when I happen to be. The shop is cozy but it's larger than what it looks like. There's plenty of seating on the outside patio, in the shop, and they have an upstairs area with additional seating. The staff were friendly and super nice. I ordered The Mayor: roasted turkey, smoked applewood bacon, apricot mustard, provolone cheese, and banana peppers, on house made focaccia. This sandwich was so good! The focaccia was delicious. I could eat a loaf of it by itself. Everything on the sandwich paired well and I'd definitely get this again. I also opted for the soup of day. On this date it was Bombay potato. Again, this soup knocked it out of the park. It was so delicious and flavorful. I'm going to try to make a version of this in the winter because now I just want a tub of it. They also offer coffee, pastries, breakfast, salads and several other sandwiches. I will definitely return to try more items and I highly recommend checking them out. read more

Love love love! Their social media photos lured me in and I was not disappointed. There was such a great variety of options on the menu. I tried the Californian bagel breakfast sandwich with an added egg, white mocha with almond milk, and a lemon glazed blueberry scone. YUM. Service was friendly. Interior, while smaller, is light and bright. Now the food: Breakfast sandwich: so good! Sliced heirloom tomato, perfectly cooked bacon, herbed cream cheese, and an everything bagel Scone: fluffy and moist! Back at my FAVORITE spot!! Housewife consistently provides the best breakfast and lunch. My mom and brother devoured their croissant breakfast sandwiches. I got my go-to lately which is the bacon Gouda sub the ciabatta bread for their freshly made focaccia, and it is the best thing ever! Their focaccia is always so warm and fluffy with just a touch of sea salt on top. I would 100% recommend trying any of their breakfast or lunch options with focaccia. The coffee and matcha were also delicious as always! read more
I'm never in Grandview but I might start going just to eat here!!! Met a friend who lives in Lee's Summit and it is darling with amazing, friendly folks working there and the food is to die for. Had a Reuben on foccacia and pumpkin spice sandwich cookie. Both were amazing. I had to stop eating my sandwich half way through to make sure I had room for the cookie. Oh but I did take the other half home and ate it 2 days later and I never eat leftovers so that is really saying something! read more

The Service here is the absolute best! Everyone is so super nice, friendly, and so welcoming. The Food is also all amazing and delicious . And of course it is adorable with indoor and outdoor seating. I promise you will not be disappointed stopping by this awesome place! Really you could not have more welcoming people! Delightful little spot of happiness on Main St. I felt cozy and welcomed as soon as I walked in. A friend and I shared a cinnamon roll (it was fresh and very tasty) and I enjoyed a hot tea. They carry a brand I hadn't tried and the chai was delicious (no star anise in it-hooray!) read more
TL;DR: Great little place with good brunch offerings, but I wouldn't drive to Grandview just to go here. From the press coverage and a brief look through the photos, I definitely thought Housewife was a restaurant when it can be more accurately described as a cafe. It's similar to McLain's Market, French Market, and Messenger, where you order at the front, wait for drinks, and food is served to your table. My friend and I got some iced coffee, a Country Club sandwich, and a Tomato Basil Mozzarella sandwich. The Tomato Basil Mozzarella was fantastic, with the best focaccia, sweet and strong balsamic, and fresh mozzarella and basil. The only problem with it was that it was huge and very messy, so my friend and I ended up cutting it up and eating it like a modified caprese. The Country Club was also good, but it did taste weirdly like rye or pumpernickel. Overall, loved the ambiance and the space, but because the price and quality is very similar to cafes in the KC area, I likely wouldn't come to Housewife unless I was in the area. You could come to study or read, but I wouldn't recommend it for work since the tables are (generally speaking) very small and there are virtually no outlets available to charge devices. read more
