We came here on a cold weekend and lucked out, there was still a two-top available inside. The vibe of the space is bright, and the staff were nice when I ordered. I got the honey bear latte, and it was just fine. Something about it felt unremarkable. Solid breakfast sandwiches, otherwise, if you're looking for a substantial breakfast. I got the classic croissant one, and it was just the right amount of food for brunch time. Don't forget to bus your tables. I looked around and spotted where the bus bin was... but most people aren't going to look that low to the ground. There should really be a sign to direct you to where the bin is located, which is under the table where you self-serve your napkins and silverware. Several people around us left their plates when they were done, but somehow we're the only table that was reminded to bus our table? It would've been an excellent visit if it hadn't felt like the dude was chastising us for even thinking of getting up and walking away from the table.

Hi, seems like this is the only way to get a response. About the cinnamon buns that was tasteless. I left you a message on my receipt and I haven't received any respons on how to resolve this issue. I understand you make them fresh every morning that wasn't the issue. The buns are very dry.

We've had Housewife cater my workplace twice and it was delicious. They were very friendly and on time. The only complaint I heard was from people that said that the brownies were super hard or not good. The chicken salad was delicious. One of these days I'll make my way down to try the food at the restaurant.

This is a great little place! We stopped in for lunch and had some amazing sandwiches. Not only were they well-made and served in a nice, cozy way, but they were also robust sandwiches with plenty of meat and cheese. The staff was kind and friendly. They gave us a quick rundown on all of what they had available and guided us through ordering, as it was our first time in. The place itself is gorgeous. I love the venue and its small-town coffee shop vibe.

Today was our first visit to this brunch icon on Main Street in Grandview. Housewife is comfortable like an old shoe. But only if that shoe were delicious. I think I've mixed my metaphors. We ordered the OG breakfast sandwich, which was the star of the show! It had wonderfully delicious sausage, egg and cheddar cheese on a buttered English muffin. It came out so hot that neither of us could pick it up. Lovely! The sausage was delicious, handcrafted, but not weird. We also ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was served with one giant biscuit, which was absolutely delicious. The gravy is a little different. Certainly not traditional, and probably spiced with paprika due to the color. When they brought out our order, my wife noticed that it wasn't very warm. The biscuit was hot, but the gravy wasn't I asked the server if they had a microwave and she said no. That actually makes me happy. But they gave us a new plate with warm gravy. That was plenty hot. I'm pleased that they fixed the issue immediately. We will most definitely be back to Housewife! Very creative menu and excellent preparation.

Housewife is a great place to go on a Saturday morning or afternoon. I have tried many of their breakfast items as well as lunch sandwiches. I love how everything is homemade even down to the bread I saw them slicing from a loaf in the back. They always have a yummy assortment of baked goods to choose from as well. My favorite drink to get of theirs is an almond milk matcha! I would most definitely recommend you try this place out!

Went to Housewife Café for the first time and I'm already planning my next visit. My daughter had the avocado toast on gluten-free homemade bread, and I can't stress enough how good it was. The bread was soft on the inside, perfectly crisp on the edges, and it held together without falling apart (which is a miracle for GF). The toppings were layered with so much flavor from the pickled onions, some kind of pesto, crumbled cheese, and perfectly ripe avocado. I grabbed a blueberry muffin, and it was packed with blueberries! They were huge! And the muffin was not that dry, cakey kind you get at grocery stores. This one was super moist and had that crunchy top. My partner ordered the breakfast burrito. It was huge! It was filled with fluffy eggs, meat, cheese, all wrapped up warm. It was super satisfying without being heavy. And the real surprise? The pina colada matcha. Coconutty, tropical, a little sweet, and somehow it made the matcha taste even better. I'd 100% get that again. The place itself is beautiful with lots of natural light, plants, clean design. They have Indore and outdoor seating as well as an upstairs. Chill vibes, friendly staff, and just a really good energy all around. Everything tasted fresh and made with care. Easily one of the best brunches I've had in KC.

Brunch at Housewife after a while! My happy place! New management but still the same service and quality! Ordered a California (breakfast option) & Blueberry pancake latte. California bagel is an everything bagel with smashed avocado, tomato, pickled onions with bacon. So gooooooodddd! Loved the flavor in Blueberry pancake latte tooo!

Super quant space with too many good choices! I loved the oatmeal cream pie the most. Delicious cookie. Look forward to trying the almond croissant next time. I had the chorizo burrito and it was pretty good, not great. They aren't fresh made. Next time I'll try the breakfast sandwich and B&G. Wife got a sandwich, can't remember the name. It was rock solid. I'll definitely return and soon!

Housewife is a little hidden gem tucked away in Grandview! Housewife is a cozy little cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and a delicious assortment of pastries. When you enter, you are greeted by the kindest, most helpful staff. Make sure to peruse the displays of pastries before you place your order at the counter. There are two floors of seating inside and a lovely outdoor patio. The space is small, and I know it can get quite busy on Saturdays, but I was able to snag a table easily on a Friday morning. The croissant breakfast sandwich was perfection. Delicious house made pesto with heirloom tomato, fluffy eggs, and crispy bacon on a buttery croissant. I also had to order one of the beautiful almond croissants in the pastry display, and it was delicious. They have tons of sandwich options for both lunch and breakfast and a lot of signature drinks as well. Something for everyone! There's street parking along Main St, as well as around the corner on 8th St.

We were in the area and stopped in for breakfast. I had a latte and a croissant breakfast sandwich. We also shared a cinnamon roll. I enjoyed the latte and I would order the croissant sandwich again. While the cinnamon roll was good, I don't think we would order this again. We stopped in during a busy time but our order was out quickly and we were able to find seating upstairs. I would stop in if we are in the area again.

While working in the area this place was highly recommended for lunch. From the outside there is a good size patio but a bit confused with the Insurance logo all over as well. Once you walk into the front door you find out that the build houses several different companies. It has an old school cafe vibe with open ceiling architecture. They offer a large variety of coffee options as well as food. I went with the Italian sandwich for lunch. Most of the seats were full downstairs and since it was super windy outside I sat upstairs which was quiet and kind of like a little hide away. My Sandwich was absolutely amazing and from my first bite I immediately wanted to come back and try out the rest of the menu. Portion size was large (but I was craving some thick kettle chips or something with it) The pesto on it was probably the best I have had and I wanted to get a glass of it to take home.

Housewife is an outstanding addition to (near) downtown Grandview. The food is prepared fresh daily and you will find that everything is wonderful (reminds me of European Cafe in Springfield Mo) in that respect. Crescents are flaky and perfect with a variety of flavors. The pumpkin muffins with sweet cream cheese are outstanding. Everything is so good. My wife and I have been here at least 20 times in the last year and bought items as gifts as well. Highly recommend if your in Grandview at breakfast time to give this place a try

It's like one big family getting together for brunch. On this time dining in, I didn't have the best experience. My hot chocolate looked very unappetizing after the whipped cream settled and I found meat in my hash browns. This immediately grossed me out because although I do eat meat, my husband doesn't and I couldn't help but to think what if he had gotten this plate and eaten that piece of meet and broke his long years of being vegetarian. After letting the waitress know, she apologized and let me know that everything is made "in one big grill". That didn't reassure any of the "what if" scenarios that was building up in my head. I believe this process needs to be re thought out because I'd be very upset if I was a vegan/vegetarian and I found meat in my food or just the thought of them being cooked together that close for a piece to fall in...yeah no.

Tried the Texas Benny which was really good. The gravy was tasty but the potatoes weren't seasoned or salted. Also tried the Denver scrambler. Our order came out pretty quickly, though another employee had to run out with something that was left out. About five minutes into the drive home, the restaurant called again--another item had been forgotten. I turned around and called when I got back. They offered a free drink, which we declined. At that point, the food was already cooling off, and we still had a 10-minute drive ahead, so waiting around for drinks didn't seem worth it. Mom got the Eggibirria Omelette and really liked it. I tried a bite and thought it was good too. A little too "wet" for me, but that's just personal taste. Now, about my order: The Mamba Burrito. It was big, and the spinach cheese dip was actually really good--though some of it leaked into the bag during our trips. My main issue is with the burrito itself. The menu says it's filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chorizo, pico de gallo, and potatoes, topped with spinach cheese dip. That's not quite how I'd describe it. Honestly, it should say: "A giant flour tortilla filled with potatoes (and a few other things if you dig around enough)." The potatoes weren't just part of the mix--they were the mix. The eggs were barely noticeable, buried in what felt like a mountain of spuds. Bacon showed up in a few random flakes. The sausage and chorizo were there, but the chorizo was not a flavor I enjoyed and I usually love chorizo. And the pico? Maybe a spoonful, tops. To be blunt, I think I could've ordered two full-sized baked potatoes and still ended up with less potato than what was packed into that burrito. It was just too much--overwhelming and totally out of balance. I'm not saying I'd never go back; sometimes a place deserves a second shot. But with so many options out there, this one's not exactly high on my list for a return visit.
