The food is great, and they have high quality meats, and I love the addition of the pickle, but everything is just so small for such a high price! It's like they are trying to deceive you into getting something more then you are really getting! The "small" sized sub should be considered a "kids sub" for kids 7 and under--it's ridiculously tiny. The "medium sub" should be listed as a small sub on the actual menu. And the large sub should be listed as a medium sub on the menu. And a ideal "Large Sub" should be a lot bigger then the "large brisket sub" that's in the picture. I mean, or at least put a lot more meat on the large sub. It's like 15 bucks for a large sub combo. The large sub in the picture is not that big at all. I'm 6'0" and 245 lbs; I'm not huge by any stretch, but I ate the medium sub, the small sub, and half of the large sub and 2 pickles, and a bag of chips all in one sitting, and I was still hungry! My advice: If you are going to charge big prices, then make big subs! read more

This was my first visit to any Firehouse Subs. I'd looked online a bit to be familiar with products. The help was friendly, though the manager often interrupted them during the prepping process to yak to them about their schedules. I was the only customer; you'd think that could wait. I had pastrami sandwich, it was good. Was eager to try Cherry Limeade, but did not like it at all. I guess I'm not much for their gimmick. My medium engineer sub on wheat was very good, with a fair amount of meat and fresh veggies on fresh bread. The service at the counter was welcoming, friendly, fast, and appreciative. Well this was my first time at a Firehouse Subs and they now have a new customer that will be coming by more often. I went during the week during lunch and it was very busy, and the main drawback to that is the parking can be a bit of a pickle (which you can get with your sandwich). The atmosphere was awesome; between the dalmatian tables and the nifty mural on the wall. It was really a clean cut look. Now to what you all want to hear about the food. I can't wait to true more, but I can give you the run down the the New York Steamer....this Corned beef brisket, pastrami, melted provolone, mustard, mayo, and Italian dressing was great!! The meat was so juicy, after my first bite it was dripping with juices. And I'm a weird one who usually does not get cheese on their sandwiches but I left this one alone and I'm sure glad I did, the cheese was so perfectly melted. Oh my god. Best subs I have ever had ! I came here twice in a week. And both times I had the brisket and cheddar sub on wheat with mayo and BBQ sauce. And both times it was amazing !!! This Firehouse location has to be one the better fast food places I've ever gone to simply because the staff is always consistent, super friendly and fast. Management and staff will even come around and courteously offer to pick up your trays for you if you appear to be finished eating. I recently revived my appreciation even more for this location after trying another location. In comparison, I found that this one doesn't skimp on the sauces and prepares their sandwiches with fresh ingredients. If you like soggy bread, this is the place for you. If you like really awkward parking and like to walk a long distance to the place you're eating at, this place is for you. If you like to pay nearly $9 for a 12 inch sub with no veggies on it (they didn't ask if I wanted any, which is odd because the man bragged about having fresh cut veggies just before I ordered), then this place is for you. If you like not getting full from a 12 inch sub, this place is for you. (Their subs are narrow compared to Sub Way.) If you like more bread than meat on your sub, then this place is for you. I bit into my sandwich and bit into a bone about an inch long. I opened my sandwich and it had two bones in it. I completely lost my appetite and I explained the issue to one of the employees and she didn't seem to care or understand why I was upset. First off, let me say that your food is amazing! I love that I can come in and eat tasty food and support firefighters. Most of the employees that work here are freaking bomb.com. Now I say most because tonight I witnessed some of the *worst* treatment of employees I've ever seen., my bf walked out and I literally left almost in tears because I felt so bad for the other employees. The lady (I'm assuming the manager) who took our order was also scrubbing the floors, while another girl was preparing the food, and a young guy was stocking chips(I think there was a guy in the back too.) We were only there for half an hour, and we watched her stop scrubbing five times to yell, pant and complain every three tiles about "how hard she was working," and how they "needed to hurry up" and she kept yelling at them like she was joking, and the poor kid stocking the chips had to ask her if she was serious, and she snapped at him, he deserves an award and a raise, really they all do because they all had stellar attitudes. She was being a c***, and there was no reason for it- yes, you have an inspection coming, and it's stressful but I can guarantee they wouldn't want management yelling at other employees to get it done faster. I've worked for people like that, it doesn't make you want to work, it makes you feel like a p.o.s. Seriously don't let one bad apple spoil or run off the rest, (Angry managers=HIGH turnover.)
