Enchilada beans and rice
Tracy S.

I got the combination plate with enchilada and crispy taco to go. I have to say the ground beef taco was my favorite! Their ground beef is seasoned so well. And the shell is so light and crunchy. I cannot wait to go back so my husband can try them. The enchilada was decent. It wasn't my favorite and I'm not sure why but it was good. I'll try other items they have as well as tacos again for sure.

We stopped in to try this restaurant since it replaced a Salvadoran restaurant that was previously there that we had liked. The food is pretty good and came out relatively quickly. The service is terrible though. We walked up to the front counter and the young man working barely spoke and was generally rude and barely wanted to answer any questions about the items. He was like that with everyone that came in. If they get someone personable then it would be better. Even when we said thank you he wouldn't speak when he brought our food. The place is casual almost fast food atmosphere.

Carne Asada tacos

El Migue is such a hidden gem! The restaurant is super clean and has a really welcoming atmosphere. The staff are incredibly kind - one of them even came by just to check on how we were liking everything, which was such a nice touch. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos, and they were absolutely delicious - probably my favorite so far from the two times I have been. The flavor was spot on, and you can tell everything is made fresh. Even the corn tortillas that they serve the tacos on are THE BEST! Honestly, everything on the menu looked amazing and very authentic. It's definitely one of those places where you can tell they care about their food and their guests. Highly recommend!

OG big taco with 2 birria tacos. Shared one with the wife.

Everything has been delicious here. Pretty good chips n salsa if you dine in. The big taco is awesome with a homemade corn tortilla. The best thing here is the birria. The torta birria and tacos with excellent consomé are fire.

Quesabirrias and pastor taco

The food is absolutely amazing! I had the quesabirrias and my wife had the fajita nachos. I added a pastor taco too, they are great as well. Very generous portions. Cost is affordable. The staff is very polite and the place is clean. Simple, no frills. Love this taqueria!

I am clueless as to how my simple ground beef burrito with maybe 2 tablespoons of cheese cause sauce cost me $18.40.

We eat here regularly, and it consistently delivers great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Our boys almost always order the Sombreros Burrito, my wife rotates between the street tacos and fajitas, and my personal favorite is the chicken fajitas--always hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. They also have a solid drink menu, although you'll usually need to ask for it. The chips and salsa are a must, but here's a pro tip: the regular red salsa can be a little bland on its own. Ask for the hot green salsa, mix in a spoonful or two with the red salsa (and add a little salt if you'd like), and it completely transforms it. Service is generally outstanding. Like any restaurant, there are occasional ups and downs, but in all the years we've been coming here, I can't remember encountering a single unfriendly staff member. One thing that consistently impresses me is how incredibly fast the food comes out, even when they're busy. The owner is also a tremendous supporter of local youth sports, especially baseball, which is something our family appreciates. Because of that support, don't be surprised if you see big crowds during tournament weekends. My only disappointment is that they eliminated their rewards program when they switched POS systems--that was a great perk for loyal customers. Overall, Sombreros is a place we continue to come back to again and again. Great food, great people, quick service, and a business that supports the local community. Highly recommended.

Walking in you'll find it's a very bright, cheerful atmosphere, very clean, with about ten tables (I think), and two tv's playing Spanish music. The people are nice and very efficient. Chef Joseph is phenomenal. He was manning the register when I went in. I'd never been to a Mexican & Salvadoran restaurant before. I'm familiar with Mexican American food, a little bit with truly authentic Mexican, and not at all with Salvadoran. Chef Joseph came out from behind the counter and sat at my table explaining the menu to me, the dishes, the flavor profiles. He gave suggestions on what order based on what I told him I liked. I got one of the combo dishes mainly because it offered a variety of proteins and side dishes. I also saw several more items in the menu that I knew I wanted to try on my next visit. The food was delicious! I surprised myself by finishing the whole plate. I was also delighted to find La Cocina De Mary had atole. It's a traditional cold weather drink made with masa harina, milk, and spices. My tia made it when I was a kid, so there's fond memories. This one was better ... and lucky for me tia isn't on Yelp and will never read this. They have soft drinks and a few alcohol drinks that I may try next time. The one that's a bloody mary except with beer instead of vodka sounded interesting. Next time I go, I'm taking FPO with me. This is a great little place and I hope they're there for a long time to come.

NOTHING has changed. Despite her calling the same day to ensure our reservation for 12 people was confirmed, they still acted confused when a large group showed up. They had no idea we were coming and had to hustle a few tables together once we arrived. The service is still slow. The food and salsa are still bland. I didn't even get to enjoy one of their margaritas (the only item really worth ordering), as I had to go to work following dinner. My vegetarian combo (burrito and chile relleno with beans and rice) were as plain as I-70 in western Kansas. I think the food was even more uninspired than my last visit. It took forever to order, forever to get our food, and then some items came out late or required prompting to procure. I just don't understand why people love this place. I think they just get drunk on the margs and *think* the food is good. Do not come here if you enjoy anything but bland food.

We go on Taco Tuesday since most of the street tacos are $1.49 each. They have quite a few proteins to choose from and a few more that aren't on the special price. The tamales are also delicious and very reasonably priced at less than $2 each. They have puerco rojo and pollo verde. I've tried both and love both! There's also a market and in the back is a large meat market. I grabbed some Pastor to cook at home last time I visited. The only negative I have is that as a small business, they run out of certain foods so you need to be ready to change your order if you go later in the day and it's a market so the ambiance of eating there is not anything special but I many folks just get it to go. Otherwise, I really love Mi Pueblito and think it's a gem many people don't take advantage of in JoCo.
