I'm so happy I tried Jason's Deli. We had one in my hometown and I haven't been since I moved away many years ago. My excitement over the salad bar is extreme! It's hard to find a salad bar anymore and I believe it's a little over $10 for all you can eat from the salad bar. You can add on a side of protein (there are real bacon bits on the bar). I got some turkey for $2.99 and had a nice serving. It's sliced turkey and nothing exceptional but fine for a salad addition. You can add several other proteins as well. Even grilled salmon. I believe it's around $5.99 extra. I could only make one trip but my bowl was packed! They also have some mini muffins and puddings on the salad bar. And of course they are famous for their free soft serve with any meal! Chocolate, Vanilla, or Swirled! Cup or cone! There's plenty of indoor seating and some patio seating as well. It was clean and there were plenty of employees cleaning and straightening up the salad bar behind you. Everything was very clean and it was a fun deli vibe. I signed up for the rewards program through the app. They are not far from me do I plan on going back. When I signed up, I got $5 off any $20 purchase. I noticed they have a catering menu as well if you need a dish for a pool party or picnic this summer. I want to try their soup and sandwich special too. So clean when you walk in. General manager seems to always be visible. Very well staffed. The huge salad bar is well stocked, tended well and kept neat and tidy. Dining room staff stays busy keeping tables clean, food delivered and smiles when asking "anything we can get for you?" Consistently a great place to go. Very busy. This was a great lunch experience! We swung in and ordered fast. We grabbed a table and I think our food was out to us in about 5 minutes. The staff were very attentive and cleaned plates off as soon as we were done with them. The sandwich was great. All of the toppings and the meat were fresh and flavorful. Catered Box Lunch Review Thirteen of us were on a site tour of the local wastewater treatment plant and scheduled lunch at the site for convenience. The host made the arrangements, ordering a mix of standard sandwiches/salads with bag of chips, cookie and drinks. I opted for the turkey, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, mayo on a roll (multi grain?) Bottle of H20. Given that we didn't get to order our preferences, our available choices were decent, if not precise. Mine was better than average, although the roll might have been past its prime by a day. The chips were a standard consumer brand. The cookie a granola type with dried cranberries in the mix. Liked it. My compatriots seemed satisfied as well. Not bad for a box lunch without much choice. read more

I haven't been here in possibly a year or two and figured I'd give it another try. As a person who's gluten-free this is again one of the last places I'd pick to eat at. The gluten free bread is dry & gritty but hey, at least it's small. I got a simple turkey sandwich & chicken soup combo (soup for my niece who usually likes their soups). I ended up ditching the bread, didn't have much Mayo or mustard on it anyway, and made myself a tiny lettuce wrap. Turkey and veggies were good but there wasn't a lot of either. A normal sandwich I see others get is hefty but the gluten free ones (which are more expensive) they seem to skimp on the good stuff. I couldn't tell you how the soup was but my niece didn't finish it if that means anything. read more

If you love a good salad bar -- this is allllways the best choice. It's always fully stocked with so many yummy options and always fresh with several unique dressings!! Lots of cold salad choices such as pasta salad, fruit salad, and potato salad. Comes with multiple trips, cracker choices and multiple "salad options" such as spring mix, spinach or just romaine. The food is an excellent choice here as well with super good soups, huge loaded potatoes and great hot or cold sandwiches. Always my number one deli place!! read more

Something about Jason's Deli I really love this place I've been coming to Jason's deli for years and it's just never really done wrong by me. I used to deliver to the location on metcalf was pretty shocked to see they had closed down. I'm so glad that the location in Olathe still exists. It's always fairly clean, their food is always great, they keep the food on the salad bar pretty fresh with items! the staff is always pretty helpful with the menu whenever I've had questions personally on what to choose. Even with Covid and the new protocols which they follow very well they haven't missed a beat with their food or service. It's a always a win and reliable feeling of coming into Jason's deli for me I hope it stays that way. They also have a good selection for kids too I know my kids like to come in here and choose from the Menu and salad bar. read more

I come to this Jason's Deli location almost every day and usually spend $20 to $30 per visit. Some days, the food and service are outstanding, and other days, it's mediocre. I've had a female manager laugh in my face and tell me I would have to wait for my mobile order even though it was ready for pickup behind her. A male manager tried charging my husband for a salsa cup that was missing from our order, then denied my husband a spoon when he declined to purchase the salsa. Yesterday, they didn't fill our containers full, so we went to bed hungry, and today they got my order wrong! I ordered the chicken chili and received a regular chili. I don't eat beef and have to spend more money and time to purchase something else for lunch. Update 05/26: I debated on whether or not to come in for lunch today, and I'm beyond sorry I did. I risked ordering the chicken chili again, hoping they would get my order correct this time and once again served me beef chili. Thank goodness I checked before leaving the restaurant this time. The male cashier kept acting as if I was an inconvenience for asking for my correct chili, a spoon, napkins, etc. When I asked him where a trash can was to throw away used napkins, he told me to throw it away in the trash can outside of the restaurant. He literally leaned forward and pointed out the window even though there was a trash can directly behind him. Rude. He wasn't wearing gloves and didn't wash his hands after throwing away the dirty napkins that were used to clean a spill on the floor before handling the next person's food. That's a major health hazard. The chili issue was corrected, but unfortunately, I did not check the rest of my order until I arrived at my destination. I ordered a breakfast veggie wrap but instead received a dry hard tortilla filled with egg, pico, and cheese. No artichoke, no spinach, no mushrooms, etc. My order was entirely incorrect today. The manager said she would refund my order for my terrible experience. I should be receiving a $16 refund, but my refund receipt states I'm only getting $13.18 back. I will never return to this location, and I may be done with Jason's Deli entirely. I will gladly spend the extra money to have my food delivered from a completely different restaurant. read more

It was my choice to choose a restaurant that would serve a wide variety of eaters (old, young, etc.) and I wanted to eat reasonably well, so I picked Jason's Deli. I'm partial to the salad bar and the Ranchero Wrap sandwich, so I knew I was going to be satisfied. My kids had plenty of options and both went with the buttered noodles. My mother grabbed a chicken salad sandwich. While there were hints that we would be taking some of the food home, it was all great and no one wanted to stop eating. The service was friendly and constantly streaming around the restaurant to provide food, answer questions and clean up tables, etc. While I would love for it to be less expensive, Jason's Deli is a consistent deliverer of quality every time I visit. First Visit! Happy with the results! We were seeking a 'Philly Grinder' Italian sub (with oil and vinegar dressing) experience, but dissatisfied with the experiences with strip mall sub shops thus far. I decided to place my business here once I saw the Muffaletta offering!!! It comes only in ham or turkey and I chose the latter. When I was asked if I wanted a 'whole or half' I said that there would be two of us eating. Full Muffaletta, was the response. I didn't feel like two bags of chips and took the slaw upgrade option for a slight charge. The full sandwich is HUGE. In fact, we will have two lunches out of one. Unless you can handle about a half pound of sandwich per person, split the half. As for the cole slaw, it was nothing special, but there are few options beyond that. I did see a nice cheese cake in the display case, but didn't choose to get involved with that! Plenty of space to eat here. Nice and clean, with very nice and helpful personnel. I've always loved Jason's but I don't live near one, so it's always a special treat when I'm in the area. Until tonight, the service was fine ( not a smile in the place but ok) the salad bar was still great, but both mine and husbands sandwiches were awful. My husband said his tasted like Oscar Mayer lunchmeat, my corned beef was no better ( I've never seen corned beef without grains in it) it was microwaved crunchy on the edges cool in the middle, the cheese didn't even melt.. I loved the good selection of healthy foods at somewhat reasonable prices. My ranchero wrap with blue tortilla chips and salsa ($7.19) was ready just two minutes after I ordered at the counter. The wrap was nicely sized, with a very good amount of delicious, premium, antibiotic-free grilled chicken breast, jalapenos, cheddar, pico de gallo, etc. on a fresh organic wheat wrap. The blue tortilla chips were crisp, and the salsa was chunky with a medium heat level. The dish was so good, that it is now my favorite menu item. The service at this location was welcoming, friendly, efficient, and fast. My meal was ready in just two minutes. The dining area was clean, spacious, and nicely done, with a nice salad bar, plenty of drink options (including four teas), good background music, and one TV. There was a small patio, and free soft-serve ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or swirl). They also have an e-club. Sweet! read more

It had been a while since I had been to Jason's Deli, so I wondered if it would be as good as I remembered. Well, we went to the location by Bass Pro Shops in Olathe, and it was still very good. I had the brisket sandwich and potato salad, and the beef brisket was very tender and loaded with sweet tangy flavor. The prices seemed fair, and the portion was plenty - I barely finished the brisket sandwich, but I did save room for the FREE soft serve ice cream. I'll be back for sure. read more

I like to visit the place mainly for the soup variety and salad options. Today decided to try the chicken panini and salad. After waiting sitting down & waiting a bit I decided to go get our plates for salad as we were waiting for our sandwiches. I'm not sure if we were suppose to get plates after we ordered. It didn't seem an issue. They have a nice selection of salad options with natural or organic options. My chicken panini seem to have all the right ingredients to be a great sandwich - pesto, spinach, provolone cheese, and a lone tomato slice. I was disappointed in the choice of the bread and the fact that the sandwich wasn't really pressed to be all hot melty & gooey. It was warm and I couldn't really tell that it was really pressed. Jason's Deli in Olathe has to be one of the cleanest stores around. Large salad bar looked very neat and fresh. In the shopping strip just north of the Bass Pro Shop, it is confusing to get into. Placve was busy but the line flowed through the ordering process fairly quickly. My passion at this place is a not so common offering here in the Midwest. The Muffelettas are huge...wouldn't suggest more than a 1/4, unless you have a powerful hunger for ham/melted provolone, and a simply devine mixture of crushed black and green olives. I'm sure I couldn't finish a 1/2 sandwich. Opt instead for the "1/4 Muff Meal Deal" giving you a 1/4 sandwich and chips with a bowl of soup or salad. Tonight I opted for the Broccoli Cheese, that was thick and warm. A little oversalted but was a welcome addition to my sandwich. Also sampled was the Club Royale. A turkey and ham with swiss cheese and bacon, with honey mustard. Meat was tender and juicy, melt in your mouth. This has become one of our go to lunch places. Our business recently moved close to this Jason's deli, so we order in lunches quite a bit. They've always been on time and they've always done a great job with our box lunch deliveries. We haven't had a single wrong order. The food is always delicious. I've gone into this location several times and the line moves quickly, check out is efficient, and food comes out fast to the table. There are always several staff members that will come around and take your empty plate and clear the table. We've always had somebody ask us if we needed anything extra. Several of my coworkers will get ice cream cones to go. Then I will always get a drink refill to go. This is a great place for a quick delicious, healthy lunch. read more

I got the 1/2 sandwhich and a salad. If you get a soup its in a small cup... So you get more with the salad and its even better for you!! Instead of buying a drink.. Just say water cup.. The cups are over by the fountain drinks and they are a dark red.. So they won't even be able to tell whats in it.. Plus they really don't care.. I'm not really to fond of how confusing the menu is. My work team stopped in here between meetings for a quick lunch. What I like about Jason's Deli (having patronized other locations in the past) is that they offer a wide enough variety of items to satisfy pretty much anyone, while still having reasonable prices, quick service, and tasty food. My sandwich was exactly what I wanted and expected. Even though our group was large (8 people), we were all served quickly enough to be on time for our next meeting.
