Yesterday, I popped in for lunch. It was chaotic on the inside. Someone had placed a MASSIVE carryout order and they had a dine-in party of more than 15 people. And that was on top of their regular lunch traffic. Despite the chaos, the two young black women manning the front counter were sharp, meticulous, and in control. I was very impressed with how they managed a full dining room and 15 or so people waiting on their orders. Kudos to them for their diligence and poise. read more

Can I say wow?!!! I came through during their lunch rush & the service was impeccable. So impeccable that I left a tip. The two waiters were smiling big & were very patient while I chose what I wanted. My waiter in particular told me his favorites (I asked) & helped me to figure out what would pair well. I'm also not a tea person, but he said that he tried something different with mine & I through enjoyed it! Even though it was a rush, the store was clean, there were still multiple open tables you could sit at & my food came out pretty fast! Overall, I loved the service & the food was yummy! Well it's been a little over a year and I wanted a sandwich. Schlotzkys wasn't near me so I tried McAlister's. I go in and only 1 person is waiting on an order. I stand at the counter while a young lady is trying to expedite orders. A last comes from the back wearing all black. I assume a supervisor or management, she walks passed me without even acknowledging I was standing there. She goes over to help the young while I continue standing there trying to decide how long I'm going to be patient. I guess when she decides she's ready shs comes to the register. Management should always stand out. Management behavior shouldn't mimic employees behavior. And all that to pay $15 for half a sandwich read more

The service was fast friendly and helpful. The food was great, I had the Jalapeño turkey crunch with the Jalapeño chips on the side. The sandwich was flavorful the bread was soft and fresh. The Broccoli and cheddar soup was warm and delicious and just what I needed on this cold day. The ambiance was relaxing and clean. Great location with great staff! They are very friendly and helpful. My order was a bit complicated as I was traveling so I asked for it to be boxed deconstructed which led to some things being left off (I'm guessing). Normally I super duper love McAlister's but yesterday I just wasn't feelin' it. I got Chicken Tortilla Soup in a bread bowl which is my absolute fav. Out if all restraints McAlister's chicken tortilla is my favorite. Yesterday it tasted different and wasn't super warm when I got it, which was a bummer because it was frigid outside. Also, the tomato soup was really sweet? Which was a bit odd. Otherwise, everything was the great- the sweet tea, bread bowl, service, etc. I am also always impressed with the prices. This was my first visit here when I came down for my grandfather's funeral. I had a loaded baked potato and a Santa Fe chicken salad. We also got a small side of macaroni and cheese. I had the two for deal with soup and sandwich. I had a Reuben and changed to ciabiatta bread. It was one of the best reubens I've had locally! Everything on it tasted fresh and the bread was excellent. I had the butternut squash soup and it was also delicious. It was served with a touch of cheese and nuts. They have a full menu including salads, potatoes and nachos. I will have to say I think I liked it better than all their deli competition. Look forward in trying others items. read more

My last experience with Mc Calisters wasn't great but thought I would try again yesterday 7/28 My last order was a club sandwich which had plenty of meat,however none of the bread was toasted so I ordered a Reuben & potato salad to go. Got home and unwrapped it and sure enough plenty of meat,however the bread did not look toasted at all ,except around the edges.Biting into the toasted edges & that bread was very hard. I tried another bite and every edge that was toasted was very hard.hard like maybe microwaved ,I dont know.Also like I said lots of meat,but very little to none Sauerkraut.Also no dressing at all. The cheese between the layers was just unmelted shreds of cheese.I am not in the habit of taking pictures of my food,I wish I had taken some. I did not call and complain about the previous club sandwich,but I will about this. I also did not receive a receipt. Potato salad was tasty enough for the small amount it was. I went in yesterday for my grandmother who wanted something somewhat decent and healthy. The manager was nice he let me sample the chicken and dumpling, & potatoe soups they were delicious, the Mac n chz was ok. My grandma was very pleased with her club sandwich,soups, and fruit !!!! Everyone working here is very polite and customer focused. The management is kind and respectful. I come in to place large orders with lots of special requests, sometimes big catering orders, and the crew is very accommodating. I usually come here for my lunch because it is close to my work, and it is a healthy food choice. Today I came and ordered a choose 2 like I usually do. Well the sandwich that they served was not even close to a half sandwich. It was barely a 1/4 sandwich. I asked the gal who brought out my food about the size of my sandwich. She took it back and the manager said that's how big it is. I then asked for a refund. They just brought out some money, no receipt or anything. I had to ask for a receipt. Finally the manager brought out the receipt. I was able to ask him why the sandwich was so small. He just said that's how it is.
