Came for a quick lunch. No line at the register but it still took 10 minutes for our sandwich to arrive. I can appreciate it's back there being freshly made but we started joking that someone must be behind on plucking the chickens. The in house hand made bun was very substantial, not the standard airy puff. The chicken bacon sandwich really needed some zip. I added pickles hoping that might help, but overall still bland. Next time I'll try something else.

I'm a Planet Sub fan, and have tried several different locations. This location has the friendly service, delicious subs, and retro music themed atmosphere of the others. However, my sandwich seemed slightly smaller than the sandwiches served by the other locations I have tried.

Went to Planet sub on March 22nd, Sunday, around 3pm and it cost a whopping $39 bucks for 3 whole sandwich's, one medium drink, and one little bag of ships. We got a Rocket Pig with pulled pork and jalapeño's, a buffalo chicken, and a creamy crab. Now given this is right before the Coronavirus lockdown and food is carry out only; but I don't know what the heck the kitchen staff is doing back there during their slow business hours, because we all went home to discover later that we had diarrhea and stomach cramps. The creamy crab was not chopped up and mixed with cream cheese like it normally is; the creamy crab was one big chunk of crab thrown on: A piece of meat hanging on its side... Nasty. The buffalo chicken about made my step son puke. He said the chicken didn't even taste like chicken. Now given the rocket pig was reasonably tasty, but tasted a bit cold. I'm thinking they are not refrigerating all their meat back there during slow hours or something. Either way, my fiancé is suffering from a torn-up stomach and diarrhea from the damn Rocket Pig. This was the worse carry-out food experience I have ever had as far as food quality goes. And I've always enjoyed planet sub before. Won't go there ever again, before, during, or after the lock down!

Roast beef for a "planet sub".

Used to be great but ever since they sent the red head manager from corporate to take over they don't put a reasonable amount of meat on the sandwich. Every time he's working, I have to complain that a planet sub should have a full piece of ham, turkey and beef. Today again, there is literally a torn piece of roast beef that isnt even a full bit of beef. Turkey was same. Tired of having to complain every time to get a sandwich made right.

I went with Dave's #2 (two sliders + fries) and picked the Hot spice level (two below Reaper). The heat was perfect -- enough to make my mouth tingle without punishing me. Tempted to try "Extra Hot," but maybe those days were for my younger, non-acid reflux self. The sliders came stacked with juicy pickles, crunchy slaw, and Dave's sauce on a soft potato bun. The chicken strips themselves were big -- not the measly ones you sometimes see -- and definitely worthy of being turned into a juicy, satisfying slider. By the time I got home they were a little soggy, but not enough to ruin things. The flavor balance between spice, tang, and crunch really hit the mark. The fries surprised me -- I'm usually not a crinkle fry fan, but these were seasoned crispy, zesty, and honestly second only to Joe's BBQ fries in KC. Big win. Service-wise, the woman at the counter was amazing, handling the rush like a pro while cooks worked the back. My tip for management: add another front staffer and maybe a mic system, since the loud music made it hard for seated guests to hear order calls. That said, she didn't miss a beat, and I appreciated the extra sauces she threw in. I also loved that Dave's doesn't nickel-and-dime you for condiments -- the extra packets made both the fries and sliders better, and it kept everything from getting soggy. In today's world, it's refreshing to see a place that doesn't skimp or charge extra. The space itself has bold artistic vibes and limited seating -- feels more geared toward quick bites or takeout. Orders took a little time, but that's a sign of fresh cooking, not fast-food shortcuts. Verdict? Dave's officially dethroned Chick-fil-A as my spicy chicken go-to. Between the generous portions, customizable heat levels, standout fries, fair value, and strong staff effort, I'll definitely be back. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 as a kudos to value and just attentive, hardworking staff. Rounded my 4.5 up to 5 as a nod to the value and the hardworking staff who made it a great first visit.

I had literal mafia family who owned a butcher and…read more"grinder" shop in Connecticut and I'd visit them as an 8 yr old to which they would stuff me full of food. This was the start of my love affair that still runs hot today. Excluding mom and pop restaurants, Jersey Mikes is by far the best of all chain restaurants. Jersey Mikes located off in Olathe was my first ever experience with the chain and forever etched it into my favorite chain for Subs! The hallmark of any great subshop is first quality meats and secondly them slice them to order. While a lot of shops now slice their own meats and cheeses, I believe Jersey Mikes was the first chain to do so (check me on that if wrong but I worked at Subway in the 90s and we didn't). With this info always in my mind, I'm always confident that no matter what Jersey Mikes I go to, it will be consistent and the way I like it, b/c I always order in person)! Next, they do bake their bread so another huge win in my book as most just proof up frozen bread which is devoid of the little touches. Finally, the owner was there and was an extremely friendly guy and genuinely excited to take my order! I admit, I'm a cold sub fiend and you can keep the hot subs (sorry Philly). I've literally had every one of their subs but I hold true to the original Italian. Every time I get mine, it's literally a salad on bread. A little bit of onion, lots of lettuce, tomatoes, a couple pickles, 2 japs, S&P, Oregano, lots of mayo, lots of oil, a bit of vinegar but I wish they had olives..... Mine is perfection, brought on by my countless visits and endless tinkering. Good thing I don't work there! My kids got the ham and swiss with just mayo. Granted they're young but I'm not going to argue with them if they're happy. As for the Xwife (sorry a slight lag in writing this) she got the turkey & cheese with mayo, lettuce and tomato. While she didn't die..... she did love the sub (sorry dark humor there). It was our go to spot for many years. Also note they used to serve pizza! That's correct, they were one of 3 pilot Jersey Mike's to serve pizza in addition to the subs. I'll be the first to admit, I thought it was pretty darn good and smart to combine the two American favorites. Alas they no longer serve pizza so you'll just have to opt for one of the many other options (my advice is Detroit style with Italian sausage, onions, tomatoes, olives). Back to the point the whole family was happy. In summary, the store is very clean and safe, while the staff are very nice. Admittedly if you've been to one Jersey Mike's you've basically been to them all. So, I'm basically here saying the say thing as a repeated record as I've lived all over the place and travel frequently. This store is on par with all other locations so shop in confidence you'll get the best sub around!

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!
