I really don't think this location deserves the 2.5 stars it currently has. Is it authentic Chinese food? No. But it's quick, relatively cheap, and I love that you can really customize your meal and make it as healthy as you want or not. Full disclosure, this is the only Panda Express location I've ever been to so I can't comment on consistency across locations or even compare. But my experiences have always been positive. The employees have always been friendly and efficient. The store has always looked relatively clean-I always take it to go. And my food has been fresh and tasty. This is the one place that I will not order online. I find it's easier and I get better quality when I go in and order it. Anyway, I always order the bigger plate which gives me the choice of 3 entrees and one side which I split into two smaller sides. I like the lo mein and the fried rice. Neither is authentic. Both are good carby options. They also have white rice and super greens if you're doing the low carb thing. My favorite entree is the walnut shrimp. It's not healthy but it's good. I like the slightly sweet sauce and it's never overpowering. The breading on the shrimp isn't overdone and it holds up to the sauce well. Definitely recommend. Another go to is the mushroom chicken. It's a healthy option consisting of chicken, mushrooms, and zucchini. It has a nice, light soy based sauce and the chicken and veggies are always fresh. My third go to is the beef and broccoli. Again, both have always been good quality and on my last visit, the beef was especially good. I've honestly had worse at actual Chinese restaurants so no complaints from me. Portion size is decent especially for the price. I get the largest portion I can but very rarely eat all of it. The leftovers heat up decently. They also offer egg rolls both chicken and veggie. They aren't my favorite but the hot mustard sauce with one is definitely pretty good. They also have crab Rangoon. Not the largest or best but I can't hate on any Rangoon. It's fine for the price. Check them out if you need a quick bite and don't want to go through a drive through. read more

These people are rude. I had a delivery from Panda Express last week that was $20 I asked for a specific amount of condiments, and they only sent me half of what I asked for. I asked for teriyaki beef on one of my main meals, and I ended up with some honey chicken something. I have already sent them two emails complaining about that and have not heard back at all from anybody. I eat there at least once a week if not more. Sure, Panda Express isn't authentic Chinese, but it's still tasty! This is one of the few fast food restaurants my family can agree on. The kids love the orange chicken and my husband and I like that we can make healtier choices by skipping the rice and adding steamed veggies. They usually have new menu items too. Quick, and the taste is fine but a little on the salty side. Presentation and cleanliness was better than most Chinese buffets. For $9 I had the fried rice bowl with firecracker chicken and my side was a chicken egg roll. In and out in under 4 minutes. Nice option if your looking for a quick Asian food fix. We needed a quick, on the go dinner option. What I got was a bowl with semi-fresh rice and "chicken" that was nothing but fatty chunks of inedible mystery meat. The grilled teriyaki chicken was excellent, but the broccoli and beef was just OK, and the fried rice was rather tasteless (but nothing that couldn't be fixed with some teriyaki sauce). I've never given Panda Express much thought. I've eaten at some locations around town and it wasn't much to brag about. We have a new location in Shawnee, so I thought I'd at least give them a shot. I have to say it was pretty good. The first girl started my order out wrong, but the next girl straightened it out. I had Black Pepper Chicken, Chicken Mushrooms, and Broccoli Beef with Fried Rice and Cheese Rangoon. My favorite was the Black Pepper Chicken. I really loved the Chicken and Mushrooms, but I despise zucchini and it was loaded with it. Luckily it's big chunks, so it's easy to pick out, but then you're kind of throwing away some of your food portion. The Broccoli Beef tasted fine, I really appreciated how fresh the broccoli was, but there was very little beef in my portion. The serving bowl had big pieces of beef; I think I was just unlucky with how she served it. I am a Rangoon aficionado...these failed the test. They are oily and just bleh. Their sweet and sour sauce is mostly SWEET.. way too sweet in my opinion, so I won't waste my money on their Cheese Rangoon again in the future. I'll definitely be back. We arrived there on Labor Day twelve minutes before closing. We were pleasantly greeted by Sue, and she prepared our meals for us promptly. Due to the late hour she apologized for the remaining selection but she compensated with hefty portions of our take out. What impressed us the most is the service with a smile. Customer service tends to be lacking on holidays and right before close ( I have often been disappointed by other Panda Express locations discouraging me from ordering because they were closing) but this experience was a positive one. The service here today was horrible except for Ethan, everyone was standing around talking and not helping, Ethan had to ask multiple times for someone to come out and help, alarms were going off for food and no one moved, when someone was getting our rangoons they stopped to chat in the middle of doing it. I will not return to this location again! Over the years we have enjoyed eating here, never a problem with food or service. It was quite a few months ago when I ate there that my experience changed... quickly. About 2 hours after "digesting" my food I became incredibly sick, I spent the majority of the next 24 hours in the bathroom. Because it was flu season I didn't associate this immediately to the food I had eaten.... until today. I went to this panda tonight around dinner time after placing an online order that was supposed to be ready at 6:30. 6:37 passed and i'm still waiting on my online order and people in the line have come and gone. While waiting patiently for my order, the manager (i'm assuming) starts reprimanding the employees in front of everyone. This is thE second time I've come into the restaurant at 8:20 and the servers attempted to give me old noodles that had been sitting for a long time. You can tell because the noodles are dry and stiff. When I asked for fresh noodles , the cook responded we're closing at 9:00, we are not cooking anymore.... this sent the message that 1 customer is not good enough to prepare fresh food for. I'm not new to panda, the food tastes the same in every chain, the difference is the location's efficiency. Don't you train your employees in taking accurate orders? Are they aware to be ready for lunch and dinner "rushes" ? It doesn't take 40 minutes tho complete 2 orders....seriously 40 minutes, you have more than 1 stove. It's a restaurant, people go there to eat...not to watch you scramble in a circle to complete an order. Come here if you want to order and look at the server's eyes for 30 minutes while the cooks figure out how to cook your food. Unacceptable- get your act together. read more

This one popped up near my house so I was excited to try it. The food is as good as any Panda Express (which I personally like). I'm a creature of habit and always get the Orange Chicken + Fried Rice bowl. I love crab rangoon, but the ones here aren't very good. Don't go to this location when you're in a hurry. They need to work on efficiency - it shouldn't take over 10 minutes for them to get to you when you're only the third person in line to be helped. I have a feeling it's that they're understaffed and could use another person up front (but might not yet be bringing in the revenue for hiring an additional person). However, there is no hustle from the folks working, and they have trouble differentiating which tasks to accomplish first. (Example - when making my order, please don't stop in the middle of it, say hold on, and fill up two other entrees on the line that have nothing to do with my order. Wait until after you've helped a customer, fill the bowls with what was just cooked, and then go one to next customer.) That said, we still have gone back every couple of weeks and the food is consistent. We just have to make sure we're not in a rush. read more

This restaurant is always clean. Even the bathroom walls shine because they're so clean. I can tell the management really cares. It's also nicely decorated with panda bears and plants which I don't see in other Panda Express. The staff is also very friendly and are willing to have a conversation. I told my daughter this Panda sucks. Well, I'm right again. Been standing for 30 minutes for a "Fast Food" order. Out of orange chicken and chow mein? No adults working and all young kids. I just saw a person walk through the kitchen in street clothes and a drink. Food on the floor in the kitchen and empty "to go" plates stacked up on the food line. A line out the door. The only consolation is my daughter agreed on the next Chinese night we can go to a real place and not this armpit. I don't know why this location isn't rated higher. Maybe we just have gotten lucky but we get take out about six times a year and we are always happy. I wouldn't order online because you have to go in and see what is fresh. We always get the freshest items and we are always happy. Veggies are crisp and it is never overly sauced like other fast Chinese take-out. It isn't over salted either. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Service is always quick and friendly. We have had all of the entrees except the tofu and the new General's Chicken. Our favorite is beef and broccoli and black pepper chicken. Fried rice is delicious as well. read more
