Restaurant itself looks the same, a hole in the wall with no room for dine in. Service was fine tho there was an almost hiccup that they did catch. Food tasted good, the sesame chicken was typical but the Mei fun was heavy with onions & bean sprouts. Pretty good Chinese Takeout. There is not seating for dining here, just some chairs in front of the register to sit while you wait. Food here is always fresh and pretty good. If I have one complaint it's that they still use the loose fitting styrofoam containers that will leak if it's a saucy dish and is not sitting exactly flat in your car. Service here is pretty friendly, unless they are super busy you can expect food to be ready in about 10 mins. Would recommend for this area of town. read more

Since I live in the country and most places won't deliver out there I often order to my work. I looked at the reviews and chose Chang's Wok. I ordered chicken and veggies and also beef with broccoli. In addition I ordered crab ragoons. In the special comments section I asked for chopsticks and real spicy mustard. They totally took care of all my asks and was delivered in the time they promised. We usually love this place but today that was not the case. We ordered beef and broccoli x3 and lots of appetizers and soup. The rice that came with the entrees tasted absolutely terrible. When I had called to place the order I had wanted to get some lettuce wraps, but they were unavailable. Which is completely fine I understand with all the shortages some stuff it's hard to get. The lady told me that they would give me a free appetizer because they did not have that item. When my husband came to pick up the order, he said oh I see on the receipt that were being charged, and the lady said yeah because you ordered it and he explained the situation. The lady then said oh well we have lettuce wraps. Beef and broccoli was more sauce than meat and broccoli. Upset we wasted money and I would have loved to get lettuce wraps. read more

My dine-in lunch experience was A-OK. The chicken with mixed vegetables lunch ($6.25) was ready just six minutes after I ordered at the counter. It had a good variety of perfectly cooked veggies, a tasty (but not too salty) brown sauce, a generous portion of moist (but mediocre) fried rice, and a generous portion of tasty, rather premium, white meat. The egg roll was good, but the crab rangoon was small, and just okay. The service was efficient, but not especially friendly, while the customer area consisted of two small tables (seating for four total), a waiting area with two chairs, and a beverage cooler. There isn't much to say about Chang's Wok, so if you take anything from this review, please take that Chang's serves super tasty take out (or delivery) Asian food in gigantic sized portions. Seriously, you can get a dinner combination, which includes your dish (you can choose between chicken, beef and shrimp recipes,) white or fried rice, an egg roll and two crab rangoon for between $8 and $10 plus tax. As I noted above, the portions are gigantic. You can easily feed two hungry full sized adults with one meal. I normally take half of the meal, put it on a plate and then put the rest of the container in the fridge to save for the next day. It's not fancy, but it's really good and a great option if you're in a hurry or if you just don't want to cook. read more

I stopped ordering from here a several montha ago and am officially no longer supporting this business. Last night I ordered General Tso's chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. It was tasting pretty good until I saw a black strand of hair im the second patty. I was hoping it not to be,but then as I pulled on the strand there it was a long, black strand of hair. Disgusted, I tried calling Chang's but they had closed so I threw it out. I waited for them to open and called to tell them about my experience. I also told them I had taken a picture which the young woman asked me to text to her, which I did When she called me back she said I had to bring the food in or there's nothing they could do about it. Who wants or thinks to keep hairy food overnight, especially since I had taken a picture. Luckily there are other Chinese restaurants near me who's food is just as good and better and that I haven't seen hair while eating my food. read more

I feel like my food was left over from some other order as it did not seem fresh. The orange chicken was super dry, almost no sauce was remaining on it, and the meat was dried out. The chicken from the chicken and broccoli was also VERY dry. The vegetables may have been fresh, but the chicken was either reheated or sat out for awhile because in both dishes it was noticeable and disappointing. The dumplings were fine, but nothing to write home about. The egg rolls were pretty good. The white rice was the one thing that I felt like was cooked perfectly. Chang's Wok is an unassuming treasure. My family started going there when we lived near Mahaffie Elementary and is still our favorite, even though we've all moved to different places in the area. My all time favorite is the Pad Thai, which is unlike any other Pad Thai. It's hard to stop after eating a reasonable amount because the sauce is addictive. The noodles are wide and thick, with an occasional clump that is like winning the lottery. It comes with chicken and shrimp that are fabulously cooked. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The restaurant has grown a lot in the past few years, so I probably shouldn't write about how great it is, lest you all order when I do. It might not look like much from the outside, but this place is no joke. We ordered online wanting some good ol' fashioned Chinese takeout, and got exactly that. The bag was HEAVY. I have to be in a really specific mood for Americanized Chinese food...like, a really specific mood. Usually, I'll do anything to get the authentic stuff. However, sometimes, that Americanized craving just comes around. Being sick often causes that...and recently I wasn't feeling too hot. Deciding to try something new, Yelp guided me towards Chang's. Not too far from my house, I figured it was worth a shot. The place is tiny - two tables and a couple chairs to wait. The strip mall is a typical strip mall with lots of parking right in front of the door. Service is very, very friendly, from Chang himself as well as the others working there. The menu is huge - just a ridiculous amount of choices, all priced very cheaply. The quantity is huge, meaning (I assume) the quality of meat isn't quite the best...but you've got to assume that going in. Pork with garlic sauce was my choice, extra spicy. It came with rice, egg roll and crab rangoon. There were a ton of veggies, which I really enjoy. The main dish was flavorful, but barely spicy at all. It's already a "hot and spicy" dish, and I ordered it extra spicy...they need to amend their definitions of what spicy is. The egg roll is OK. The crab rangoon, which I normally don't like at all, was actually quite tasty. You need to go in knowing you'll get the Americanized stuff with very little connection to real Chinese food...however, if you want that (as most people do), this is a solid choice. read more

Food arrived within expected timeframe and was HOT! The food itself I got General Tso's chicken with a side of fried rice, two orders of dumplings (one steamed and one fried), sesame chicken with a side of Lo-mein and an order of Chicken Lo-mein. I was extremely disappointed by the overall flavor and lack of standard stuff (like vegetables or seasoning in the food) like the side of Fried rice and lo mein was literally white rice with a lot of soy sauce and lo-mein noodles with soy sauce. THAT WAS IT!! There was no seasoning or vegetables or anything in them. My chicken tasted like it was bottled sweet and sour sauce on generic pre-made breaded chicken pieces. The same chicken pieces & sauce used for their sesame chicken. My dumplings were very large but quite literally you could see through the dough and see a quarter-sized ball of meat in the middle. Leaving about 3/4ths of the dumpling just dough. The regular chicken lo-mein was okay but you could tell it was barely seasoned or sauced. like soy sauce with noodles and minimal vegetables, barely any chicken. I love Chinese food and will try any place to get an idea of what I am getting. WE ended up spending $50.00 on this order and I regret every bit of it. This is my favorite take out place by far! The food is always delicious, ready quickly, and comes in large portions perfect for 2-3 meals. Their delivery is never more than a 20-25 minute wait (as far as I have experienced) and carry out is always ready and I live right down the street! I always order shrimp for myself and it's cooked perfectly! The vegetables are nice and fresh, and their sauces aren't too salty or sweet. I read all the glowing reviews of this place, and I have to double check to see if we're talking about the same place we ordered from last week. It was awful, almost bad enough to put me off Chinese food forever. The hot-and-sour soup was dreadful, gelatinous and full of cheap filler ingredients. There was no meat in it, and was very vinegary. We threw it out. Appetizers? The spring rolls and egg rolls were filled with cheap stuff. Cabbage mostly, and pretty tasteless. The crab rangoon was as decent as you get anywhere, I guess. There was no hot mustard included with our order. Our main courses were overcooked, as though they were heated up from a day or two before. My dish had broccoli in it, and it was gray, soggy and unbelievably overcooked and disgusting. Slimy describes the food best of all, and good Chinese food isn't slimy!! The other dish was some sort of spicy chicken, and it was bright orange and just chicken. That's it. Just hunks of chicken that tasted terrible and was tough. Gah. The food at this place is about as appetizing as the building. read more
