Chang's ain't much to look at. Located in a strip mall that no one really pays any attention, I've driven past Chang's probably a million times. I've had about four friends and neighbors tell me that I have to try this place. So I did. The inside is small, only a couple of tables, Changs must be more about the carry out/delivery than dine in. We ordered take-out on Sunday, April 15 and were quite pleased with our meal. It isn't gourmet Chinese food, but if you're looking for classic, Americanized Chinese, this place is A-OK. The crab rangoon is flavorful and the filling is smooth. The sweet and sour sauce is, well, the same sweet and sour sauce you get all over the city. Sweet and sour chicken is delicious, but there is nary a vegetable in sight. Ehhh, I can live without since I'm not eating Chinese for the health benefits, but I do like some roughage. Portion size was good, price was really, really good. $8/crab rangoon + entree. I've got no complaints about Chang's. Will I go back? Probably, it's convenient. read more

The food here was very nearly as good as Bo Ling's, at a fraction of the price. I had General Tso Chicken with fried rice, egg drop soup, and a crab rangoon for about $5.15. The chicken was moist, tender, and flavorful, with only a thin layer of breading. The sauce was very well done, too. The portions were very generous. I have no complaints! Their food is fast and tasty. The service is quick and friendly. This is a locally owned mom and pop shop, not a large operation. If you want something that you can munch on for a long time, go for the Pad Thai. My son says it's the best Pad Thai around. We order it "extra spicy" which is just a bit spicy. The food here is hyped up. They have mexicans cooking. No I am not racist I just think it is unreal that chinese people come to america to make a business and then hire mexicans to cook. The people that own/work at Chang's Wok are awesome. Super nice and very quick. I've ordered over the phone, in person and online with ease. The prices can't be beat. This place is just a little further down Ridgeview from a fancier Chinese restaurant. If you're wanting take-out drive an extra 5 minutes to Chang's Wok!!! WORST Chinese food I have had in years. Their menu shows sweet & sour chicken with red and green peppers and pineapple - it came with fried chicken pieces and a container of red sauce. NOTHING ELSE. They're cheap, give you so much food it's like I'm paying for 1 meal but getting 2 (sometimes 3). 5 stars because they deserve it. I'd like to see anyone try to beat them at how well they make Chinese food, no one can compare. They are THE BEST and a MUST TRY place. Once you try it, I'm sure you'll become a regular. And for the stupid people saying it's terrible, don't listen to them. They probably just got a messed up meal and are cranky about it. I've tried most Chinese places around here and Chang's wok beats them ALL. All the other places either suck, or they're mediocre. Good luck finding somewhere better to eat because you won't find it. I've tried other places but always come back to this one because no one else makes food better than them! First off, this joe r fellow is awfully confused about the process in which Chinese food is made. None of the food is reused nor is it "used". I believe if you had a problem with the chef or the quality of the food then you could easily ask, you would then realize that you are incorrect. Dont ridicule the business over the internet when you clearly dont have the facts. Changs wok is an excellent Chinese restaurant and all food is guaranteed fresh. I've had just about everything on the menu and would like to say it has never failed to impress me. The quality of all the the meat is excellent- especially the chicken( all white meat). I has gotten the crisp honey chicken with fried rice as the dinner combo. I've heard a lot of good reviews about this place but IMO the food didn't live up to it's hype. The chicken was really sticky and drippy with an overpowering sweet sauce and a bit over battered. The crab Rangoon was pretty nice though. I have had so many different types of food. Different restaurants all over the world. I downloaded this yelp app to JUST write a review on this place. If is absolutely horrible we ordered Kung Pow Chicken. Chicken Pad Thai, chicken lo mien. Egg drop soup and wonton soup and "fried" rice that had NOTHING but SOY SAUCE !!! I can honestly say I am extremely disappointed in every item I received. I will never eat here again. The food was very poorly seasoned and I didn't even get pad Thai noodles! They were a THICK SPAGHETTI NOODLE. That was the worst 45 dollars I spent. read more

But you have said one thing correct that "I do not have experience in eating re-heated old cooked food or left over food in a unclean cooking environment" and I do not want to try that nasty experience. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a plate lunch combo, and so did my brother. We ate in the store (they have two tables). The portions were huge and tasted VERY fresh. This is a new Chinese carryout restaurant located in a strip mall near the intersection of Ridgeview and Kansas City Road. I've ordered from there several times and have had a variety of dishes. All were very good. Much better than what you would get from a Panda Express or the like and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food that you get. A couple of my favorite dishes would be the Garlic Chicken and the Twice-Cooked Pork. Both were as good as similar dishes I've had at larger local Chinese restaurants. read more

Not a whole lot to say here. Good Chinese food and cooked to order fairly quickly! I do want to emphasize "good" food, not "great" food! At least for my wife and I. For us it just seems to lack a bit of spice/flavor. We love this place. Nothing fancy to look at, in a older strip mall by a sketchy massage parlor. We get take-out from here every couple of weeks. I get the crispy honey chicken, which is amazing.
