Small Dining Area, Beverage Cooler, To-Go Waiting Area, and Counter
    Steve D.

My dine-in lunch experience was A-OK. The chicken with mixed vegetables lunch ($6.25) was ready just six minutes after I ordered at the counter. It had a good variety of perfectly cooked veggies, a tasty (but not too salty) brown sauce, a generous portion of moist (but mediocre) fried rice, and a generous portion of tasty, rather premium, white meat. The egg roll was good, but the crab rangoon was small, and just okay. The service was efficient, but not especially friendly, while the customer area consisted of two small tables (seating for four total), a waiting area with two chairs, and a beverage cooler. It was clean, with no background music, and an odd smell. This location may be better suited for take-out or delivery.

STRAIGHT BLACK HAIR IN MY EGG FOO YOUNG. NASTY.
    Teresa H.

I stopped ordering from here a several montha ago and am officially no longer supporting this business. Last night I ordered General Tso's chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. It was tasting pretty good until I saw a black strand of hair im the second patty. I was hoping it not to be,but then as I pulled on the strand there it was a long, black strand of hair. Disgusted, I tried calling Chang's but they had closed so I threw it out. I waited for them to open and called to tell them about my experience. I also told them I had taken a picture which the young woman asked me to text to her, which I did When she called me back she said I had to bring the food in or there's nothing they could do about it. Who wants or thinks to keep hairy food overnight, especially since I had taken a picture. Luckily there are other Chinese restaurants near me who's food is just as good and better and that I haven't seen hair while eating my food.

The front counter of the restaurant. Open and simple design, with a well-stocked drink fridge.

I ordered general tso chicken. It was horrible, the chicken was dry, too sweet and sour . The hot & sour soup was bland and no taste.

Some of the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. The meat was way over cooked and dry. What a waste of money!!

Overpriced for below average Americanized Chinese food. Sweet & sour sauce was like water. Everything else was greasy and bland.

Good food for less. Not really a restaurant although they have two small tables. Take out and delivery.

Great spot for a delicious meal. Their all day meal special is a great bargain and includes rice…read more(steamed or fried), two appetizers (egg roll or crab Rangoon) and a bowl of soup (egg drop or hot and sour). Our party of three each ordered something different and we were all delighted. The only room for improvement would be the fried rice but it was good enough to order again. Chef was happy to make the garlic chicken less spicy and it was perfect. The service was speedy and friendly. Take out or dine in (about 10 tables). Restaurant and bathrooms were clean. Chinese decor and music perfectly appropriate.

You do have…read moreto pull off of a busy road straight into the lot, but it's easy to find in the strip of stores and there were plenty of spaces. By the time I grabbed our food and headed back out, the front spots had already opened up again. We did two lunch specials for around $20 total, which feels like a steal for how much food you get and how good it was. We ordered the Chicken with Cashew and the General Tso's lunch specials, both came with soup and a side. The cashew chicken was seriously incredible. A lot of places overload this dish with veggies until it turns into chaos, but this one was balanced with the right mix of ingredients and is easily one of my new favorites in KC. Only bummer: hardly any cashews. Still delicious, but I wanted a little more cashew love. Crab rangoons were hot and crispy with a solid filling even after a bit of a drive home. The fried rice had great flavor, and the steamed white rice was bouncy and soft, not that kind with crispy dry edges. Both soups were spot on, and THANK YOU for including wonton strips. A lot of places skip them and it really can make or break egg drop soup for me. General Tso's had great flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little big and it wasn't very spicy, even though we didn't order it no spicy. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you want that classic kick. Inside is clean and cute with tables for about 8 to 10 small groups, the front desk is toward the back, and everyone was kind and helpful. As an Elite, I also loved seeing their Yelp pride around the restaurant. Overall, super solid lunch specials and I'll absolutely be back!!
