I can't tell you all how many times I've been here, be it take-out or dining in. What I can tell you is that this place has ruined every other Chinese restaurant I've ever eaten at. Pro tip: order your honey chicken spicy. No matter how good that honey chicken may be (and it's VERY good), the heat balances the sweet perfectly. The egg fried rice never has clumps, and is never wet. This is so hard to find for some reason. Nobody here seems to use day-old rice, and it makes this place even more worth your dollar. The staff are very welcoming and really value their customer service. It's a small restaurant, and food absolutely flies onto tables. (Whoever is running the wok really knows what he or she is doing.) Anyway, what I'm saying is that I've been coming here for years. From the pictures I viewed before ordering, I honestly expected to like this place more. I ordered carryout online crab rangoon, sesame chicken with fried rice and egg rolls. The order was done quickly and easy to pickup. For the price, the portion of sesame chicken was underwhelming. The chicken pieces were small. The fried rice had barely any color or flavor. The egg rolls were standard quality and the crab rangoon looked nice, but the filling had no flavor. Overall, it was edible, but I did throw away most of the rice. We have been here a few times now and find it to be your basic Chinese restaurant. We haven't tried anything terrible nor amazing here. Today was our first time dining in because I wanted to try it fresh and still nothing I would recommend to friends to rush out to try. Decent food for a decent price. I ordered the sauce on the side for my tofu because I was sure if I liked their sauce and apparently it's an extra $1 for that. Wish I was told that prior to making the request but I guess it turned out ok for me because the vinegar was overpowering the sauce. Service was great. My initial review appears to have been removed somehow. Anyway, avoid this place. The old lady at the front is extremely rude and was very condescending while taking my order. I have been coming here for a while, but being mistreated that way when I'm paying you is just wild. On top of that, they are nickel and diming people for crispy wontons for to go orders. Was told that's only included with "in house only" and had to pay another dollar just for crispy wontons with soup. Which originally used to just come with it. This is another on of our favorite local gems located in Olathe. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a lot of repeat customers and the phone is usually always ringing with to go orders. I had an issue with the Orange chicken I had ordered and instead of going back and complaining I just let it go. The quality, portions, freshness, speed of food of Jasmine Pavillon is normally A+++ plus. It's one of my families favorites when we are craving delicious Chinese food here in Johnson County. Well the kids did not like the orange chicken this time, everything else was fantastic! However I was not trying to go back to the restaurant and complain and be that person. Later in the evening I received a request in my email box asking "How did we do?"basically a survey about my experience and I gave an honest review. The next day I get a message from the company and wow I can't tell you how blown away I was by the customer service! Whoever was messaging me apologize completely took into account what my issues were. Let me know that this was not something that they want to happen again they made me feel like they really care that I'm a customer I know this is just a restaurant to everyone else. However they really made me feel like the money and my opinion mattered. Not once did they blame give excuses or make me feel like it was probably just my issue. They really wanted me to know that their complete goal is customer satisfaction and that I know the quality of their food is important to them. I cannot believe how personable this experience was. I've been going here for a couple years and I can 100% say I will be there #1 fan for going back! I normally don't take the time to write good reviews unless it really is worth it and I feel like this had to be had to be said. Any company that takes the time to actually review and respond to the customers is very rare these days. I think what it was amazing was the survey was private it wasn't going to be on social media or anything so there really was no need for the company to reach out to me and only to just take the feedback given. Places like this are very rare and they should be acknowledged. I truly appreciate not feeling like a number like everywhere else. I liked the extensive menu, the fast seven minute service, the good portions, the tasty food, and the reasonable price. My chicken with vegetables lunch ($6.95) included choice of crab rangoon or egg roll, choice of soup, and choice of rice (including brown rice for a $1 upcharge). The entrée had a good portion of tasty chicken, a flavorful sauce, and a good variety of veggies, and was served super hot, while the egg roll was very good, and the fried rice was okay. I found the service at the counter to be more efficient than cheerful, welcoming, or friendly. Takeout and a covered patio were available, but the dining room was closed for the pandemic. Our favorite Chinese place. Everything I've had here has been amazing. The Honey chicken (the best), beef lo mein, Hunan beef/chicken, chicken and vegetables. Their egg drop and hot and sour are the best I've had. The wait staff is always so sweet to my kids (it's my 4 year old daughters favorite place). Here is the crab rangoon, or really just a cream cheese wonton. No "crab" to be seen or smelled. Spit out my egg roll. Heavy cabbage taste. If you like that, youre in heaven. Some do.... Lo-mein was greasy and meh Chicken dishes were underwhelming, mainly thigh meat battered and sauces were not on point. And the weirdest thing of all, the sweet and sour sauce had a heavy cucumber taste?! It was kind of like Chinese you'd expect to get at the mall. Not my bag. Again, I hate writing bad reviews because everyone is just trying to make a living and it has not been easy as of late, especially for restaurants. But I was just so disappointed. I wanted this to be good because it's close to us but it was just okay. Nothing special. The General Tso's Chicken and Orange Chicken were almost identical in flavor. Both were a little mushy in texture but not inedible. Crab Ragoon and Spring rolls were average but probably better than the rest of the food we ordered. We finished those. The egg rolls were not quite as good as the spring rolls. Not as crispy. Hot and Sour soup was kind of bland but not bad. I added some extra chili peppers and some black vinegar to make it more sour. Overall it was mildly disappointing. There was a lot of food so if we ordered again (which we probably won't) we could get just one entree for 2 people. It was fairly inexpensive. $48 for the following - hot and sour soup, spring rolls, crab ragoon, orange chicken, GT's chicken, extra crispy wonton strips, and extra sweet and sour sauce. I didn't remember eating here until we pulled up to the restaurant. I looked through the reviews and I was on the fence, but seeing the place I remembered it as very good. I'm glad we pulled the trigger. The hot and sour soup was delicious. The Kung Poa triple delight was well seasoned. I jotted it up with some chili oil, but I was good without the inferno. The egg rolls were crispy. The crab Rangoon was great. The staff was super attentive. They were very busy and I imagine some of the reviews are based on carry out. This is great food in Western Olathe. There is not much out this way, unless you go toward OP. It is a nice sit down and relax location. It's not fancy, but not shabby. read more

She had chicken and vegetables, and the chicken had kind of an underdone and odd taste to it. The brown sauce was different than what we've had there in the past. My spicy sauce in my happy family was anything but spicy. Didn't see any pepper flakes in the sauce at all, which is usually in any dish from Jasmine when I ask for spicy. Don't know if this is a one-time thing, they've changed their recipes, or they've changed their cooking staff. Hopefully it will be better and back to normal on the next visit. read more

The food is always good. I've only had one bad experience with service. The waitress wrote down the wrong item even as I pointed it out off the menu. When the wrong item came to the table I told her that isn't what I ordered. She got a very rude and aggressive by pushing the pad basically in my face only to show me where she wrote the wrong item as to say see I was wrong. She went back into the kitchen and we could hear her out in the dining room. There was an older lady standing by the soda machine and I know she over heard me say I'm sorry you write the wrong item down and told my husband I would never be back. Then the older lady went back into the kitchen and in a few the original waitress came out with the correct items and had a different demeanor when she brought us our ticket. We have not been back since and I have no intention of taking my business back. We had been eating there once a week for at least two years. It saddens me not to return because the chef is a good cook. But I will not be treated as if I'm an inconvenience. read more

This was standard Americanized Chinese food in a clean comfortable environment. I enjoyed reading the letter in the front of the menu about the owner who is a trained chef. Atmosphere: Clean, crisply decorated with an Asian bistro theme. They do a lot of takeout, but the place doesn't feel like a Chinese takeout/fast food joint Food: I was here for lunch so I tried the Generals Tso's lunch special for under $6. (Not exactly adventurous, but it's a good baseline to compare against other Chinese places). The hot sour soup came out first with a bowl of the crunchy noodles. Not long after, the entree came out. Fried rice was tasty, about as expected. Chicken was crispy and glazed. Plus a couple florets of steamed broccoli and an egg roll (could have went with Crab Rangoon as other choice). Next time I'd order it with white meat and I'll ask them to make it spicier. Price: most lunch combos are under $6. Overall: 4 out of 5. Good food at a great place in a clean comfortable atmosphere. I had the steamed dumplings and they were the best I have had outside New York City ( Joe Shanghai soup dumplings). The egg drop soup and Crab Rangoon were also very good, as was the Triple Delight.
