Their all day meal special is a great bargain and includes rice (steamed or fried), two appetizers (egg roll or crab Rangoon) and a bowl of soup (egg drop or hot and sour). Our party of three each ordered something different and we were all delighted. The only room for improvement would be the fried rice but it was good enough to order again. Family owned neighborhood Chinese restaurant. They have been here for a long time but this is my first time here. Dinner meal about $13 for appetizer, soup and entree. You can't beat that. Jasmine Garden was a super easy chinese takeout spot with easy parking right out front. You do have to pull off of a busy road straight into the lot, but it's easy to find in the strip of stores and there were plenty of spaces. By the time I grabbed our food and headed back out, the front spots had already opened up again. We did two lunch specials for around $20 total, which feels like a steal for how much food you get and how good it was. We ordered the Chicken with Cashew and the General Tso's lunch specials, both came with soup and a side. The cashew chicken was seriously incredible. A lot of places overload this dish with veggies until it turns into chaos, but this one was balanced with the right mix of ingredients and is easily one of my new favorites in KC. Only bummer: hardly any cashews. Still delicious, but I wanted a little more cashew love. Crab rangoons were hot and crispy with a solid filling even after a bit of a drive home. The fried rice had great flavor, and the steamed white rice was bouncy and soft, not that kind with crispy dry edges. Both soups were spot on, and THANK YOU for including wonton strips. A lot of places skip them and it really can make or break egg drop soup for me. General Tso's had great flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little big and it wasn't very spicy, even though we didn't order it no spicy. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you want that classic kick. Inside is clean and cute with tables for about 8 to 10 small groups, the front desk is toward the back, and everyone was kind and helpful. 1st of all we didn't receive the entire menu. No idea why. It did mean we got a lot less food for the money. Food got was good not great. The only way we found out about the additional menus was that another table got dinners completely different than our group of 6. Kind of a disappointment. read more

Ordered delivery and it all arrived piping hot. Asked for the lunch chicken Pad Thai to be mild spicy and it had flavor but no spice, which was ok. Lunch chicken Fried Rice was good, like that they don't over load it with weird vegetables. It's simple but tasty. I recently moved to the Overland Park area and go a lot to the Hamu Bakery next door for their Taiwanese pastries. The stumbled onto this Chinese restaurant. My go to dishes are the Beef Chow Fun and Singapore Rice Noodles. I tried the Singapore Rice Noodles and the curry was perfectly strong and flavorful, just the way it should be. I then noticed the sell frozen homemade dumplings with various stuffing, ranging from $ 10-$15 for 20 dumplings. Definitely going to purchase some. Best carry out operation that I've found recently! Jasmine Garden is on it. Very good portion sizes with more protein per serving than many other Chinese spots (especially with carry out). We were very impressed, and the prices were affordable. Only two small improvements I could suggest--have descriptions of the various dishes, so patrons know which vegetables are included in each dish. And larger water glasses would be nice. I ordered something not on the menu (shrimp egg foo young), which they were able to do because it wasn't busy. All of our food came out quick, hot, and delicious. The portions were much larger than I expected and were reasonably priced. The service was absolutely wonderful, and the restaurant is simple, quaint and very clean.
