I decided on various options for my bowl. Everything tasted wonderful and it was a good size bowl and I couldn't even finish it. The restaurant is casual and actually, I was the only one that stayed to eat. I noticed they mostly have to go orders when I was there. Omg! I'm so glad I found this place. It reminds me of a Korean version of Chipotle. Fresh ingredients and small bowls are perfect for lunch or dinner. I picked up food three days in a row. I liked it so much. On the second day, they messed up all three items in my order, and my hubby couldn't have him due to a food allergy. I called, and they told me to return the receipt at any time and that they would remake it all correctly. They provided excellent customer service as well. It's a welcome addition to Western Shawnee, where we don't have as many options as the other side of town, and cities nearby. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and the line moves quickly. I love the additional cup of miso soup that you can get with your order, it's delicious! Online ordering is a breeze, and it can take the pressure off if you don't like to make quick decisions, lol! The only complaint I have, and it's not a real complaint is that the seating area is quite small, so when it's busy the line definitely bumps up into all the tables. My friend John and I checked this place out and we were pleasantly surprised. I'm a guy that just recently discovered apps...yes, I'm the guy that had an iPhone 4S for 13 years and those poor things are memory challenged. Now I'm apping up like a guy the just discovered religion or politics....Let me tell you about it! 1st thing, get the app before you go in there, it's pretty generous right off the bat. The staff is quick and attentive, which I love. They are generous with their portions and everything is very fresh. They have plenty of choices in the meat department, from spicy to bland, so that should satisfy all palates. The veggie selection is vast, so you can really have a tailor-made meal. Also, the sauces are varied in spiciness and flavor, so that's a great thing. There is free self serve Miso, which was tasty and the also have tofu for non-carnivores. There are fruit options that you can add to your bowl and they have a variety of gluten free cookies. I've worked in consulting for many years, so I have a natural tendency to pick things apart. I could only find one thing that I didn't like and it was minor. Bibibop just open their 55th location in the US. Went here to check out their grand opening and it didn't disappoint. My boyfriend haven't tried this place out before and what's a better occasion then this. I love the concept, healthy and fresh Asian food. Wish we could get some up in the Northland, but this place satisfied our cravings. This is a fast food version of bibimbap. If you want something fast and healthy, this is it. Went here for their grand opening and it was also my first time ever at a BIBIBOP. It did not disappoint. The vibe was great and the staff is super attentive and friendly. The food is also super delicious. I got the original size bowl and it was a huge portion. They have some curated options which I'm looking forward to trying in the future but for this visit I chose to build my own. For the base I got purple rice, salad and japchae noodles. I went with steak and spicy chicken for protein and loaded it with plenty of veggies and fruits. They have a ton of options for toppings and it's pretty easy to get carried away as there's no limit to what you can add. I would say get as much or as little as you like. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl though as it was packed with flavor but I will say I prefer the steak over the chicken. There's also a variety of sauces that you can add to your bowl. We ordered food to go at the Shawnee location. Huge portions of food, with the ability to be traditional (Korean) or fusion. The concept is a lot like Chipotle, where you start with a base, add meat and then accompaniments. The Korean beef were flavorful, the "japchae" noodles were okay. Heard of this place from Chris's brother, John so we decided to stop by and give it a try. It has a very similar concept as Chipotle except there's a hot pot of Miso soup by the entrance and you can serve yourself as you go to the e counter to build your bowl. I love me some Bibibop! I got a chance to try their newest location in the metro here in Shawnee and really enjoyed the experience. It is tucked away in a small strip and as soon as we started walking towards the front door, we heard their speakers playing K-Pop. A really nice touch to add to the fact that this is a Korean based restaurant. Once inside, we noticed the restaurant was very clean and tidy. It had the signature wall décor pieces I am used to seeing at other locations. The gentleman that helped us was friendly enough and did a great job making our bowls. I tried the newer Korean beef (basically a beef bulgogi) and it was really good. I have always enjoyed the food at Bibibop and have yet to eat something here that was satisfactory. Everything was so delicious this trip too. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch on this day and cannot wait to come back. The food was fresh, tasted excellent, and looked just as good. All I got to say is that Bibibop is truly an amazing place. Unfortunately, this location will absolutely not reflect that. The food is just not the same as the other locations, almost as if the franchise owner is cutting A LOT of corners. My son and I both got food poisoning here, which is RARE for us, but we were pretty messed up from it. I waited a month or two before I finally went back and it's clear- I didn't learn my lesson lol. Honestly I h8 to have to write this about a place I am typically pretty religious about, but I KNOW that they know they are not providing the food the way Corporate intended, and it's a shame. Try to hold out for the Oak Park location, otherwise your better off at Taco Bell Seriously. read more
