Inconsistent food and bad service. We have been numerous times and had a good food but always bad service. Today the food was undercooked and over spiced. Completely inedible. They wanted to charge half price because we "tried it". read more

The food here is SO good and we order from them all the time. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the spice levels can be inconsistent -- sometimes "medium" tastes mild, other times it's perfect. Still one of our go-to Thai spots because the flavors are amazing. read more

I recently sold my home out by the Lake and bought a townhome near Mahaffie recently, so I decided to look for restaurants close to my new abode. This one is very close to my house and so I decided to go check it out on a Saturday night. It was only 1/2 full when I went in, but during my meal I noticed delivery drivers coming in and out, so I'm guessing the younger generation likes the comfort of their own homes Too bad, the place has a nice ambience and plenty of parking. The food was great, everything seemed fresh and properly prepared, and best of all, the portions were huge. The sides are also good, having had the crab rangoon and egg rolls. The service was very good, very attentive and friendly. No shaming for ordering water, either.at some point restaurants will figure that people are tired of soda pop and the bad health that comes with it, and start offering healthy alternatives. I've been back twice and I can say that this place is a consistent 5 stars. read more

We had been here before twice with wonderful experiences and so we decided to come again as a group of 5 and were the only customers in there. It looks like a nice authentic sit down restaurant except for the loud music that was playing with cursing which we had to ask to change. When our food came out, there was a long hair in my spring roll wrapped in between the rice paper but the entree was good all round. The service was lacking and we had to sit waiting for our waiter for water for a while and she always had in AirPods and was talking to someone. We are very disappointed in this place as we really enjoyed it the other times but we won't be back. read more

Well. It was good while it lasted. We dined in for the first time since last year and immediately felt off with the vibes. We were not greeted and we waited over five minutes for drinks and acknowledgement. The staff were different and they prioritized cleaning tables over providing water. There was this putrid sewage smell that made it hard to eat the food The most striking was the obvious treatment of the brown customers such as myself versus the white patrons. They made it clear we were not welcome. Every time we said "Thank you" we were ignored. The food also was not as good as it usually is. It came out five minutes after ordering. It was hot but just tasted off. The staff also checked on other tables but ours. Needless to say, we did not finish our food and we left. It was the quickest dine-in experience we have had in a long while. They also had negative ratings from the health department. We will not be back and we will return to Thai Place in OP. read more

Ordered take out - pad thai, drunken noodles, pineapple fried rice and crab rangoon, all mild. The crab rangoon was awesome! Very light and crispy with plenty of filling. Mild is very mild which is never a given with thai food, so might do medium next time. Drunken noodles was my fave. The pad thai was a little sweet. read more

Cooked when I ordered, so it was fresh, but it was also fast. I ordered steak, and it was oh so very tender and wonderful. Indian food can be tooooo hot for me, but this was the perfect mix - a little bit hot, but mostly just great flavors. Two thumbs up from me. I'll go again. Yay! West Olathe has a Thai restaurant again! I was a big fan of Ohm's Thai Rice in this location that recently shut down. This seems to be a completely new business, but it is also very good. I'm a Thai curry lover, and have sampled curries from many Thai restaurants in the area. Top Thai's yellow curry is one of the very best. For some reason, many Thai restaurants in the KC area have yellow curries that are a little too sweet. This yellow curry is the perfect balance of savory and sweet. Their Panang Curry is also good - very, very peanuty, but solid. They've made some further updates to the interior of the restaurant, including a dividing wall in the center that allow for better seating arrangements. Table and takeout service has been great. They reliably answer their phone and food is ready quickly. It feels like this location is cursed - nothing lasts long here. I NEED this place to stay open. Top to bottom one of the better dining experiences we've had in a while. Both service and food were fantastic. All of the food came out in a timely manner and was extremely delicious. The crab rangoon, veggie pad Thai, topthai spice beef, and the Tom kha soup that was ordered were all some of the best we've had. Not sure if Julia or Jackie, believe I saw both names, but whichever one was our waitress was fantastic. She was super friendly with the little and help make the entire experience a joyous one. Brand new mom and pop Thai restaurant right across from Strips Chicken Strips. They opened about 2 weeks prior to our visit. Nice and friendly staff that treated us like we were their most important customers while there. We had the Crab Rangoon, dumplings, drunken noodles , and phad Thai. We ordere the entrees Mild spicy, but would probably go up to medium spicy next time. Definitely worth trying. Santa Fe has lots of good restaurants! read more

I wish Top Thai was closer to Raymore, MO. You really have to love a restaurant to drive 30 miles, passing up many good Thai food places to get to the best one (in my opinion). Try the Stir-fry Mushroom Curry and you'll see why I make this trip. Please do not let an almost empty parking lot fool you. We arrived before 6 pm on a Saturday and had the place to ourselves. We ordered the Top Thai Sampler as an appetizer, Combo Pad Thai and Combo Mushroom Dinner. We were NOT disappointed! Everything was amazing, service was great and we will be back to try new items. I am hopeful that because they're new they will improve. That not to say the food was bad. It was simply missing something we had the Basil wings the sauce was good, but it did not adhere to the chicken leaving it a little bland . My husband had the Penang chicken, medium heat. It pretty much just tastes like peanut butter sauce. I had Pad see eaw spicy. While it delivers heat it did not deliver on flavor, just heat. The wife and I paid a visit for first time to Top Thai. I use Thai Place as my point of comparison because I think it is so good. Well, I was pleasantly surprised how good everything was at Top Thai. The spring rolls were fresh. My wifes PAI Thai was very good and my Green Curry Chicken dish was superb. Great and friendly service as well. I will definately be back. read more

I'd definitely go back, based on my first try. Started a new job, so searching for the closest Thai restaurant was on my to-do list for when I want to treat myself. I can't speak much to the service, since I did pick-up, but they were super friendly in my short interaction and processed my payment quickly. Panang Curry is my go-to, and I would order it again (and again)...although I'm also tempted to try a few other dishes I like to get a more well-rounded feel for their food. read more

This location seems to attract bad Asian restaurants. I'm always on the lookout for a good Thai restaurant that is in Olathe or close by. Came on for lunch this week, ordered take out. I ordered chicken Pad Thai (Hot) and crying tiger beef. For lunch the bill came to about $20. The Pad Thai was so sweet that it was practically inedible, there was some spice to it, but this dish is supposed to be a blend of Sweet, Savory, Spicy and Funky Umami. All I could taste was sweetness. Also, the portion size is prob less than half the size from similar Thai places in the are. The crying tiger beef was good by itself, but the sauce you are to dip it in was very salty, so I ate the small portion of that, threw most of the Pad Thai away, and I prob won't be back to any restaurant that occupies this location again, it's been a revolving door of disappointing experiences. read more

My wife and I recently ate at Top Thai Restaurant in Olathe . The restaurant opened for business on Wednesday last week. We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was bright, colorful, and welcoming. The waitstaff was very personable, cheerful and attentive. To begin our meal, we ordered the Crab Rangoon and Egg Roll appetizers. We were served a just-right size crisp iceberg lettuce salad with a light Asian ginger dressing. Our entrees were the Pad See Eaw and the Cashew Stir Fry. All the items we ordered and were delightfully presented and pleasantly served. All items were absolutely delicious - very flavorful, plentiful and satisfying. Top Thai exceeded our expectations.
