5 stars for menu and food quality. But honestly this location just sucks. I don't think we've ever had an order be 100% correct. We order out from here a ton due to convenience and location. We've had a straight up raw burger not once, not twice, but three separate times. They constantly forget sauces, add ons (which cost extra), and even main ingredients of the dishes. My buffalo wrap was very good but my granddaughter was unable to eat any of her carne asada tacos as they had jalapeño peppers in them She loves spicy food but was unable to even eat 1/2 of one taco Very disappointing! I. Freaking. Love. This. Place. Period. It is honestly one of the best fast casual restaurants in the country.There are a few places where you can get highly delicious and extremely nutritious food. You typically have to sacrifice one for the other, but not here. You can have both! I'm waiting for them to franchise their restaurants so I can just buy one myself and eat there every day for lunch and dinner. This is a family favorite where we all get something different and we all love it. Then we come back again and try something different and do it all over again and love it even more. My problem is is that I can't stand or just one thing what I would like to do is order for wraps and be able to stomach them all in one sitting. That's the toughest thing about this restaurant is trying to nail down something you want from the menu that has tons of great offerings. I also highly recommend catering because that's an easy way of ordering tons of stuff and being able to sample almost everything on their menu. They do a great job catering and the food product and quality is just as good as you were ordering it at the restaurant. Overall this is a solid place for any meal, anytime, for any purpose, be at sit down, takeout, catering, they can do it all and they deliver it perfectly. Every time they open up a new location in Kansas City I will be there to review it and give them five stars. Keep it up! read more

My chicken gyro as a salad ($8.00) tasted great, with plenty of fresh ingredients, and tasty grilled chicken. The portions were filling, and the prices were fairly reasonable, especially including the rewards program. Buyer Beware! Have been to this location before and the food was adequate but went there early evening today and placed an order for a hamburger and was met by a surly teenager who took my order and waited 25 minutes for it to be finished. All three of the workers were teenagers who did not seem well trained. When I got home the hamburger was bright red in the center. News alert to the workers there people can get sick if a hamburger is not properly cooked and some people can die. We had to throw it out and basically burned 12 dollars. Perhaps the owner might think about teaching their workers to use a meat thermometer down the road. A smile and a friendly hello when a customer places an order would also be valuable. read more

Great food, bad phone ordering service, phone is always busy and sometimes left off the hook, also sometimes it just rings and connects to a random persons vm. Would love to just be able to place my order and my food be ready when I show up instead of having to place it there and then wait. Again, never had an issue with the food but we like to order when we get done with volleyball and would love for it to be ready when we get there. Fix the phone! read more

No real care for customers. 5-6 people working at a time 2 employees working to put together a catering order. One person on the grill one person assembling items for patron in store and two kids shooting the shit. Had an order for carry out arrived 5 min after it was supposed to be ready (18min) ended up waiting and additional 15 min after arriving. Couple years back chips or cookie came with your 9$ wrap. Now chips or cookies are now longer included. The size of the wraps used to be adequate for individuals with larger appetites. Comparable to a chipotle burrito. Now the portions are getting smaller it just doesn't make sense. read more

It's slowly progressing to the point where you can get a solid, healthy meal quickly... enter Twisted Fresh in Shawnee. I had never heard of this place, but leaving Shawnee Mission Park on a summer day had us starving and wanting something healthy. Yelp pulled us in this direction and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was pretty good - I'll admit, not mind-blowing, or something I'd drive well out of the way for, but definitely solid, well made and quick. Twisted Fresh is one of the best local restaurant chains, period. You can eat as healthy...or as not healthy as you desire. This location does a very busy lunch, and a decent dinner. Ample parking means that usually you can sneak in during lunch, get through the line, get food, eat, and be out of there in under half an hour. The menu, like their other locations, consists of fantastic wraps with a bunch of different combinations of flavors and burgers that are some of the best in Kansas City (probably a top 5 burger regionally). I highly encourage getting hard boiled eggs as a side, because they don't have french fries. Cottage cheese and quinoa salad are also fine alternatives. Some pro tips: If you don't like lettuce or other veggies in your wraps, I'd highly encourage you to request additional meat to make up for it. If you order a burger, keep it to a single...a double will induce a meat coma and I've made this mistake multiple times now. This particular location fills up pretty quickly around lunch time, so if you have the option to get your food to go, it would be a good idea (note that I've heard they're expanding this location soon). Don't forget the cookies, they're usually really really tasty. read more

Since my original review a few years ago prices have gone up at least 20% (although that seems to be situation normal post-pandemic), AND the menu item I get no longer includes a side item. Additionally, while the Caribbean jerk chicken wrap is still my standby, I wish the Shawnee location learned how to do it right by the Overland Park (College Blvd) location, since significantly better over there (the pineapple slaw). Glad to have a fresh place like this in Shawnee, and as someone who doesn't go out a lot enjoys coming here every few months, but would likely be more often if they made my favorite item as good as the one in OP. read more

As much as I LOVE to support small businesses, I cannot support Twisted Fresh anymore. No matter how I order - online, on the phone, or in person, our order is messed up. Tonight half of my order was correct, I was missing an item, and I was given a meal that was definitely not what I had ordered. This is not the first time this has happened to my family. There is not an adult in sight as it is now run by apathetic teenagers. We have also ordered items online like chocolate milk to go with our kids meals only to find out that they are out of ALL milk when we arrive to pick up our order. It is definitely not the high quality service and food that it was when it opened. read more
