I went to 30Hop Merriam location for happy hour on August 28th. We had a table for 6 and I'm glad we had reservations as the restaurant was busy. I ordered two appetizers: Dynamite Shrimp and Beer-ria egg rolls, which were delicious. I also had a well cocktail. I'm glad we had happy hour prices for the appetizers and drink. Our server was very attentive and kind. She checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was packed on a Friday night. It's in a nice location and I would go back again to try other items on their menu.
Great food and the service is getting better and better since the opening. Will for sure keep coming back!
Delicious! 10/10 I am a big fan of their new menu and their beer offerings. We were seated right away and our server was prompt and friendly. The place is huge but set up in a way where it doesn't get too loud even if it's crowded. I'm so glad they opened a location closer to home.
Outstanding service. Easy place to find. I would give the nachos and 8 out of 10, could always have more stuff on the top. The only thing that was strange about this place in the manager did a good job explaining it is because the outside is a shared space they have to give you plastic containers if you want to take alcohol outside not a big deal, but just something to be aware of if you wanna sit outside and have some privacy.
I've been to the Lee Summit location of this brewery a few times, and I miss it. This was my second visit. Both locations are in a great neighborhood, but be warned: parking is limited. It's always busy, so we had to park a bit and walk up to the brewery. But the location itself is beautiful. It's nicely situated between a shopping complex and a nice neighborhood with good apartments right across the 69 and 35 highway. There are so many beer options to try. I highly recommend their hazy IPA, which is on the menu. It was outstanding. Now, let's talk about the food. I loved the fish, blackened tacos. Their nachos were also super good. We ordered them with chicken and pork, and there were a bunch of other dishes we shared with friends. I didn't get to take pictures of them, but they were all delicious. I must mention the server who helped us. Her name was Shaian, and she was an outstanding person. She was incredibly patient and explained everything to us so patiently. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were taken care of. She even made changes to our food orders as we needed and refilled our drinks. I sometimes feel that restaurants run because of good servers like her. A huge shoutout to her!
I was intrigued by the Mike's Hot Honey Chicken sandwich, but concerned it would be too hot for me as my tastebuds have changed over the years, but I was definitely not disappointed! Enjoyed the flavor and no burned taste buds. I shared my spicy concern with Linely and he did a great job describing Mike's Hot Honey Chicken especially in comparison to Nashville Hot Chicken. He clearly described the sandwich perfectly. We also got the Monday Deal (and it's definitely a deal) $5.99 for a Classic Burger and side. It was a good size burger and plenty of fries. 30Hop is a place to take in sports on the many TVs or have space to catch up with friends or family if any size. Lonely said tonight is a slow night (Monday) and that Thursday - Sunday is very busy especially since they offer a weekend brunch. It's also busy at lunch with regulars. We are definitely interested in the opportunity to sit outside and not deal with traffic. Our enjoyable conversation with Lineky resulted in him hoping we would be back and chat with him again- maybe when we come back for 40hop's Tuesday Old Fashion night.
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to 30Hop at Grand Station in Merriam, Kansas. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a vaulted ceiling, sports screens everywhere, and a friendly staff. They have an extensive beer list, and the fries were outrageously good. Now, there are few foods I love more than a crispy chicken sandwich -- especially one with kick to it! That's why I ordered the hot honey crispy chicken sandwich. It was a crispy, flavorful sandwich, that was well put together. I'm not going to pretend I didn't eat the entire thing and enjoy doing so! But.... It doesn't have a lot of heat. It's disappointing to expect it and then not experience it. Nevertheless, it's a good sandwich worthy of the $14.99 price. There were a multitude of beers I wanted to try, and I landed on KS Territory's "Pineapple Life Coach." I was expecting more heat on the sandwich and figured this beer would be ideal. And it is! If you order hot wings or something with a lot of heat, this beer would be ideal! All in all, this place is really good. I'll be back!
Parking was awful! The menu had a decent amount of items. I got the Yakisoba Bowl and paid extra for chicken. It was good, but had too much sauce which made it a little salty. Loved all the ingredients and the presentation. This place is a little pricy. My friend got the 30hop burger and loved it. Service was okay. Not sure I'll be back.
One of my favorite spots to go to, especially on Monday's (when they have their $5.99 burger deal). Their burgers always taste great and the service is top notch! The bartenders all have great personalities and will definitely banter if you're into that. It can be a little busy at times but it never feels overwhelming, there is plenty of seating and space which is nice. Highly recommend trying their burgers! I got a regular single this time around but their signature 30hop burger is really good too.
Great selection of beer (many local options) and high quality food selection. You can't beat the $5.99 cheeseburger deal on Monday nights! I'd recommend the brussel sprouts appetizer as well. Perfect atmosphere for watching sports. Plenty of seating options for different party sizes. Good service no matter where you sit.
30 hop for girls night out was what we needed. Went for a happy hour chips,salsa and cheese dip to start our evening out. Chocolate Martini to start the conversation and lastly Chicken Tinga Tacos for the entrée with shredded chicken coleslaw, salsa and chips on the side very good. As it was not very busy, we were able to have conversation without screaming at each other. our server was able to check on us multiple times to see what we need clean table and fill drinks. Here for KC Restaurant Week 2026 1st course: Street Corn Avocado Toast. 2nd course: Yakisoba Bowl The toast was amazing. Large slices pickled onion and a fried egg. 10/10 will order again. The Yakisoba bowl was also large. I could only eat about 1/2 after the toast. It's coming home with me. It had a great flavor, I added chicken. Everything tasted fine. Not sure I'm a Yakisoba fan. But if you are, you'll probably like it. Their menu is a great way to try things if you've never been. And the amount of food you is more than $20.00 brunch cost. We will be back
30 hop is a great addition to the redevelopment in this part of Mission. The best way to describe it is that it's a big, modern, family friendly sports bar. Think great bar food, and a robust tap list. We stopped in here for lunch over the weekend, and enjoyed all of our food. The kids meal was huge, which was a nice surprise, and my husband enjoyed a great beer from a local brewery. I was surprised it wasn't more full on a Sunday so folks should head over and check this place out - definitely worth the visit and we will be back!
I came in later in the evening and I was treated really well. It is massive in here with lots of seating. I got a chair at the bar and the service was spot on. I had a drink fast and the food was quick behind it. I had the Umami Burger and it was everything I was hoping for. Besides being cooked well, it was bursting with flavor. Not the greatest visit in this time. Came in with some out of town friends to catch the Sunday night football chiefs game. The set up is perfect all TVs were on and the speakers were tuned into the game with music at commercial breaks! Beers and drinks were great! Unfortunately the bartenders complaining about how slow it was, politics, and other drama definitely took away from the experience. Debbie downers aside we were locked in for a good game which also failed... not 30hop fault!! Lol But my most disappointing item of the night was my order. We all ordered at the same time but separate tickets. One got the noodles other got a burger. I got the nachos add green chili pork. My estimation is mine was made while the other dishes were cooked? Everything on my plate was cold. It was tasty but colder than I thought it should be. Even the cheese sauce was basically solidified. I am not a send my food back guy but really didn't matter they never asked me how it was. I will be back again since I really enjoyed my visits here and especially the Lee Summit location. Plus the flower child is still one of my favorite cocktails. Think I will pick a different time than Sunday night too. read more

I previously tried 30 Hop via a Yelp event. I was craving a chicken sandwich and the one I had there previously was so good that I decided to return and try a few other items that caught my eye. I ordered online without issue. My food was ready at the promised time and was accurate. The individual working the front desk was friendly. The interior is large and they have lots of seating and even a nice outdoor patio. They have plenty of TVs if you're dining in so you won't miss any games. I ordered the chicken club sandwich. It comes with either grilled or crispy chicken, Swiss, bacon, slaw, tomatoes, and honey mustard and garlic aioli on a croissant bun. I ordered my sauces on the side because it can be a little heavy handed and it gets the bread soggy. I liked this sandwich overall. The grilled chicken was moist and had a nice grilled flavor. The croissant bun was interesting but held up to the sandwich well. I liked both sauces. The slaw was really just chopped up cabbage and not a true slaw. My only complaint is the size of the grilled chicken compared to the size of the crispy chicken. My boyfriend ordered the same sandwich but with crispy chicken and the size difference was significant. The crispy was double the size of the grilled. I previously had a crispy chicken sandwich so that was the size I was expecting and was a bit surprised when I got the grilled this time. Again, the taste was good but they have many different items that I'd rather have in the future. I upgraded my side from fries to a side Caesar salad. The dressing was a little thin but was good and had good flavor. The lettuce was fresh. And I liked the addition of half a hard boiled egg. I'd definitely recommend and order this side again. The salads have all been pretty bomb. My boyfriend tried the corn chowder and liked it. I tried it and it was really smoky and would probably be excellent with a slice of cornbread. I love having this option nearby and they have a very extensive menu with options for everyone. Definitely check them out! read more

Awesome spot to hangout. I love all the diverse outdoor seating while indoor has a great bar and plenty of TVs all around. Nice selection of beer, food and drinks to make a diverse group happy. Got the Mike's hot honey chicken sandwich and wasn't overwhelmed. It was fine, but not a lot of heat or complexity. The slaw I got with it was downright horrible, tasting like it had overstayed its welcome. Service was great and they offered nightly specials and good food suggestions. Will definitely go back but will get something different next time. read more

Came in for lunch with a group of coworkers. The parking situation outside was pretty busy and the place was fairly full for a lunch hour. We were sat pretty much immediately and had drinks fairly quickly. Apps (spinach artichoke dip + buffalo cauliflower bites) came out pretty quick and both were pretty good. Outside of the Mike's Hot chicken sandwich, I also got the truffle cheesesteak melt. Another compatriot got the Nashville hot chicken. Another got the Korean steak sandwich. And the final member of the group also got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The results of these meals were some of the craziest I've ever experience. The good - the Nashville hot chicken (and the Mike's Hot Honey chicken sandwich) were really good, 4-5 stars. But the steak was basically inedible as it seemed to be pretty low quality and was horribly overcooked - like beyond well done. So the people that got chicken had a great time, but the two of us that got steak were extremely disappointed. Normally I wouldn'take snap judgement recommendations, but if you're coming here, I would strongly suggest sticking to the chicken or getting a burger (a couple other people I know that have been here endorsed the burger) and skipping anything with steak in it. Even sans the hot honey chicken sandwich and everyone having water, it still ended up being $30+ per person, so it's also a bit on the expensive side. Would I come back? If you're local and can take advantage of the specials + like chicken? Yes. But if your heart is set on steak or you're more than 10 minutes away, I'd probably recommend something else. read more
Came to try their new hot honey crispy chicken sandwich. It did not disappoint. Very large and great flavor. They even substituted a tasty triple berry salad for me instead of fries. My husband got their loaded baked potato soup and loved it. Great food and atmosphere for a chain. Bonus was $5.99 23 ounce beer on Wednesday nights for my husband. We will be back! read more
Linley was my waiter. He was fantastic. I tried the Mikes Hot Honey Chicken and sweet potato fries. The Brioche style bun was warm and soft. The chicken was fried but still remained moist with a drizzled hot honey sauce. Sweet potato fries were fried and had a great texture. I had to try the Blue Berry Cheesecake. It was okay with a blueberry sauce over plain cheesecake. The sauce did not taste fresh but something served out of can or prepared ahead of time. It still was good overall. read more
I am so happy someone finally developed this formerly empty space. 30hop is a perfect addition to this area that is somewhat lacking in great restaurants. I stopped in for a bit to be greeted by a huge smile and friendly bartender named Stephan, who made my night. The Caesar salad is GOOD. It's not a bland "run of the mill" salad with croutons and romaine. Instead they've added arugula, bacon, and egg. This is a GAME CHANGER. The Peanut noodles are amazing. Absolutely mind blowing, honestly. This is something we will be back for immediately. In addition to fantastic food, 30Hop has a lot of beer on tap as well as a full bar with really great drink prices. The only thing this bar is missing is Miller Lite. Please please get Miller Lite! The Happy Hour and weekly specials make already great prices even better. Pairing great service with awesome food AND a restaurant filled with TVs will make for a perfect game day combo during football season! I may have found my new favorite spot. read more

This was my third restaurant that I visited during Kansas City Restaurant Week 2026. This is an Iowa based Sports Pub concept that just opened their 5th and 6th locations here in the KC Metro. The space is wide open and huge with about 20 Large TV's circumferencing the restaurant and a very large bar set in the middle that can seat about 30. I sat at the bar just in time to watch some NFL Playoffs on a Saturday afternoon. There were only 4 other people at the bar during my visit so I was a bit confused on why my server was so lackluster in her service - my only complaint. I ordered off the KCRW special menu with two courses for $20 and left ridiculously stuffed and a box with half of my appetizer for a late night snack. The appetizer that I chose was the Spinach Artichoke Dip which came with tortilla chips and toasted bread for dipping. Certainly enough for two or a meal in itself. Nicely baked with a crusty cheesy top to juxtapose against the soft creamy dip. Probably the best Spin Dip I've ever had. Course two was a hard decision but I selected the "That's My Jam Burger". Another monstrosity that was accompanied with fries. Two patties with American Cheese, Blue Cheese, Garlic aioli, shredded lettuce, potato straws, and bacon jam on a soft burger bun. The largest and tastiest burger I've had in several months. A $36 ticket, but only $20 for KCRW. A great bargain. I also ordered a Avalanche - their code word for an iced coffee with cream - $5 for a large glass. I would return. read more

We really enjoyed this restaurant when visiting Iowa, but this Merriam experience left us feeling less than impressed. Service was poor - restaurant not busy, but waiter left our drinks empty, often didn't remember what we had requested, etc. Food was pretty good-although the grilled chicken was over grilled. And not sure we were given credit for our visit in the app.... We will visit again-hoping for a better experience. read more

This is way better than the abandoned Kmart! Loving 30Hop so far - there are lots of healthier options on the menu and several that are vegan or easily modified vegan. Highly recommend the Brussel Sprouts (should be vegan w/o aioli) I don't think I'll visit without ordering some. Also a big fan of the Chopped Greek Salad (should be vegan w/o feta) and the Teriyaki Dragon Bowl (again w/o aioli). The Happy Hour is pretty solid too: 3pm-6pm except Saturday with a plain no-nonsense 30% off most drinks and appetizers. It's a large open space and there's enough seating you could probably stop by and work on your laptop for a bit without feeling like you're holding up a bar spot or table. Positioned between two new apartment buildings, it seems like a perfect addition to this area - I hope it does well! read more
From the moment we walked in, we knew we would walk out very happy. The space is huge! Clean and very modern looking. We were expecting typical bar vibes. But beyond our expectations. Ben, our sever, was great. He was informative and very attentive. Came by to check on us a few time but not overly bothersome. Shoutout to Ben! The food was delicious. I really enjoyed my humongous smothered burritos. It was probably big enough for 2 people. The breakfast croissant was also a hit. Runny egg yolk on a buttery croissant with avocado and arugula. I am in town visiting and met with friends at this newly opened location. There's plenty of parking and when you walk in, it is so open with lots of seating and the bar is huge. They also have outdoor seating and we were told they will have live music events soon. We came during happy hour from 3-6pm. I got the Spinach Artichoke Dip and the Blueberry Squeeze Margarita. Both were great. The dip was creamy and the margarita was unique with the salt foam topping, I highly recommend trying it! Our servers were amazing, very friendly and sociable. They were able to answer all our questions and were informative. Check out this place if you want a great happy hour with friends or to watch your favorite sports. read more

I had the lunch pick two when I stopped in during a weekday. I had the Caesar salad and turkey pesto panini. The salad was really good and the panini just ok. If I return, I will just get the salad. There is plenty of seating and there were not many other diners during lunch. Our orders all came out quickly and our server was quick and great about checking in on our table. read more
I've been to the Lee's Summit location twice and enjoyed each visit. I'm glad they opened this location as it's a lot closer to my home. As for my experience here, well it was just as enjoyable as the other location. Inside, it's the same, including the friendly and helpful staff. Our server, Josh, was helpful, attentive, and quick with suggestions. I tried the Korean Steak Sandwich this trip and was pleased with the choice. I'm not a fan of fried onions on a sandwich, but it added an extra crunch and was surprisingly good. The Vanilla Pear Mule was very tasty. read more

Food - pretty darn good Service - Well trained, attentive but not overbearing. (@ the HUGE bar anyway). Ambiance - It's a 40 or so table, both and bar all in a very open giant room with lots of natural light (floor to ceiling windows). 1st time here on 5/1/2025 - pre-checked the menu and decided on Bang Bang shrimp and a $5 side of Mac & Cheese. Mac and cheese is perfectly small side to pair with a burger (or on), chicken fingers or a wrap etc, on the wide menu. Bang Bang shrimp was really tasty, had a kick like the OG version at Bonfish many years ago. Nice touch with the meatball shaped rice that partially absorbed the spicy-ish flavor of the shrimp. A plentiful portion that would be perfect for 2 or 3 people, filled my stomach with the M&C for sure. Will need to revisit with friends to explore other menu options, hmm, maybe brunch. FYI the also brand new Home Grown is a chipmunk scurry away and practically adjacent in the Former K-Mart area/space. read more
