My husband and I went here on a busy holiday morning. We beat the crowd, thankfully, so we were sat promptly, and received service immediately. Our waitress was kind, warm, and helpful. The hostess was amazingly calm for being the only person seating people and closing out checks. By the time we left, most tables were full, people were on a waiting list, and she was doing both registers at the same time. ((She needs a raise and some help up there!!)) through all that crazy she wAs kind, calm, and collected. Our food was tasty! I had an omelette with the house toast and jam. It was very good, but Nothing about it was spectacular or special to differentiate from another place. My husband got the farmhouse skillet- that was really good!! We both ate off of it. I didn't like how there was a massive grease pool at the bottom- why are you using so much oil that there is a think layer of solid grease sloshing around when we finish. Went for Saturday brunch. Like many others we waited about 20 minutes and that was not a big deal. We tried the the a few of the specialty drinks. The cold brew coffee had a very bad taste to it and was not enjoyable but my daughter like her drink. We ordered French toast, a classic eggs benedict, and a chorizo egg omelet. The fruit on the French toast was delicious but the French toast was dry and flavorless. Nothing really special. One thing about eggs benedict is the runny egg and we did not get that our egg was over hard and that was a bummer. Also the benedict came with a salad which was weird and it was just a clump of lettuce no dressing so it was just an odd choice. The omelet was mediocre as well. I'm not quite sure about Texas social distancing regulations at the moment but 6 feet didn't exist here. Booths were literally packed back to back. Due to the strong smell inside a waited outside the entry door for my order. Host said they'd gotten busy and were working on it. After about 5-10 minutes I noticed my order sitting inside on a table so I entered to retrieve it. No idea how in such a short period of time eggs could get that cold or avocado toast could get that soggy. Used to be great! I have ordered from here for pick up or delivery several times. At first my order was always excellent. Today, I ordered Farmhouse Hash. My potatoes aren't all cooked to the right doneness means some are kind of hard but not uncooked. My big complaint is that my avocados had black spots on them. I've been here once for dine in earlier this spring. Make sure you get in line online by using Yelp or their app to avoid the wait because it's always crowded on weekends. The food is great, same items as in the NRH location as well as the one in FL. I love the million dollar bacon and the lemon ricotta pancakes. My mom got the french toast and enjoyed it as well. The griddle items are huge! During COVID, they offer pickup. You can order online ahead of time, even the night before. We have a tradition of French Toast Fridays so I came here once before work to pick up. The app said they will bring my order to me, so I figured they would bring it to my car and I decided to pick up and take my little one with me. When I called the restaurant the person who answered the phone said they weren't allowed to bring my order to my car and everything was contactless so I would have to come in and pick up. Grrrrr! So I covered my baby up in his carseat and headed towards the door when a lovely young lady offered to carry my bags to my car, saving the day! Please bring orders to customers cars. read more

I was excited to try this place and love it, but I didn't. We came here on a Sunday afternoon, our mistake. It was BUSY - we were told a 30-45 minute wait, we waited an hour. We looked over the menu in our car waiting and were disappointed at the VERY limited version online, but when we finally sat down, the paper menu had a ton more options. This was great but frustrating because we waited SO long that we just wanted to order after waiting an hour, but had to go back over the menu. We were sat all the way in the back corner, and our waiter was sweet, but he forgot about us. We ordered our food and then waited forever for our check. We watched a family be seated, order, and get their food before we ended up just getting up to pay with the host. As for food, we both got a sandwich, delicious, and I got a kale salad that sounded SO good on the menu, and could've been delicious, but it was barely presentable. The lettuce was wilted, and the ingredients were just sprinkled on top in layers like I ordered from a fast-food place. I'm from NY so I'm patient with the coffee here in TX, but it was so light I saw my creamer reach the bottom. If I knew then what I knew now, I would not have wasted two and a half hours just for a sandwich and a fast-food salad. There are too many places around to be this mediocre. We went here for the first time last week. Service was outstanding from the time we entered until we left. The hostess greeted us right away and was so friendly. Our waiter was superb. The cashier was checking out multiple people at once and very nice. The food was delicious. They have a great variety of things, including a lot of healthy options and gluten free options. I had ricotta whole grain pancakes and they were possibly the best pancakes I have ever had. Definitely the best whole grain pancakes I have ever had. Look forward to going again soon. read more

First and foremost, if you are wanting a weekend brunch like we did today, it is HIGHLY recommended to put yourself on the waitlist online. The staff do manage to turn tables around pretty quickly so even after we arrived, it was about 20 minutes and a table for 6 of us was ready. As mentioned previously, I am not a big breakfast food fan, but First Watch does have a generous offering of sandwiches, salads, and even seasonal specialities for those who wish to enjoy a lunch entrée instead. I opted for the shrimp and grits which came with a generous portion of shrimp and perfectly cooked grits. It was not overly spicy and while I do prefer my foods spicy, this was easily fixed with a little Cholula provided at the table. The service was overall excellent given the volume of people inside the restaurant. Prices are also very reasonable for those on a budget with the cost of full meals averaging $10-12. I was greeted with an opened door by a hostess who welcomed me. Since I like to experience the basics on a first visit I ordered the Tri-fecta which included eggs, a protein, and a pancake or waffle. I opted for the banana granola crunch pancake and pork sausage along with over-medium eggs. When the plate came out my eyes popped a bit at the size of the pancake! Rather than being topped with the add-one, the banana crunch goodness was mixed into the batter with slices of banana creating a polka-dot ring around the pancake. Eggs were cooked as ordered and the sausage was plump and flavorful. When I picked up the syrup, I immediately noticed that the bottle was warm! Nice touch! My server Natalie was warm and attentive. I've never been the third review of any place, but if this is how things are starting out, I hope they continue to provide what I experienced today and look forward to trying other dishes on the menu soon! *Apparently they have other locations locally so they've clearly put together a successful formula that they are replicating. I'm very disappointed with this place. The food was just okay - I got a skillet hash with a cold brew coffee and the potatoes were not cooked thoroughly and the cold brew coffee tasted just like water. What got me though is the staff's lack of consideration with wearing their masks. Our server brought our food out without a mask on. I was also seated close to the kitchen and could see three different employees handling food with their masks pulled down below their chins and yelling and talking loudly with other staff members. I'm a healthcare worker and am taking COVID very seriously, so seeing people handling and coughing over food, carrying drinks, and interacting with other customers and staff members with complete disregard for the very basic hygienic measures that are currently in place to protect others right now really baffles me. I typically have no problem giving a place another chance, but a place not following basic public health protocol? That's just not good.
