Plain French Toast
Leanne G.

We had a pleasant brunch on a Saturday morning. The server was very attentive and stopped by our table regularly to see how we were doing. We ordered the French toast and a split plate with waffles, eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The food was good - simple and straightforward preparations that tasted good.

Bacado Omelette, delish! I added the Cholula and ketchup!

Solid breakfast place, much improved from prior name / owners. Server was very nice, and reasonable quick. Glad to see this place filled up with patrons!

The inside has been remodeled to a more open floor plan. The decor has been changed to have a country feel to it. We ordered the Florentine eggs Benedict with hash browns and sourdough toast and the 2 eggs over medium and corn beef hash with skillet potatoes and sourdough toast. The eggs Benedict was good, the hollandaise sauce was tasty and eggs poached properly. The 2 eggs were cooked ok but they came out cold while the skillet potatoes were piping hot. Perhaps a little fine tuning of their timing could remedy the uneven temps.

Chicken, fried chicken, waffle sandwich.

Isabel the waitress is one of the sweetest people on the planet. The food was delicious, but their hours are incorrect on yelp. They don't open until 7:30 AM.

We were excited for a new breakfast place in Roanoke, but unfortunately we won't be returning. Service was extremely slow and not very friendly. We were served water almost immediately but weren't able to order coffee for 10 minutes. Coffee wasn't the best and it wasn't hot. The scrambled eggs looked watery and hardly cooked and tasted terribly. The bacon in my scramble had to have been jerky. It tasted like mostly everything was frozen and warmed up. The plates were hotter than the food.

Avocado and chicken salad

Avocado and chicken salad was fresh and delicious. Meat lovers skillet was good but too heavy in potatoes and not heavy on meat. Poblano soup very good! Nice vibe. Service was good but it took over 30 minutes to get the food. All said we will go back.

I had the Avocado toast for brunch and the mimosa flight while my boyfriend had the breakfast burrito with Chorizo, eggs, onions, cilantro, green chilis, side of salsa, and home style potatoes. Ask for an extra side of salsa

A perfect, almond milk, cappuccino.

The ambience was cute and ideal for brunch and mimosas. The service was friendly and accommodating to the substitutions, I asked for. The food as you can see in the pictures, was very good and exactly the way I wanted it. Plus, they're open until 2:30.

Monte cristo trash

Did a DoorDash got a monte cristo no raspberry sauce just look like a plain sandwich total waste

Food was good and the service was great even when very crowded. I enjoyed the adult beverage I had tropical mimosas.

Waited over 1 hour and 15 minutes to be seated served. It seams the priority are takeout orders over seated patrons.

The food selection was broad, but not too busy. I ordered the Oxbow Sourdough Burger. The meat patty was thick, seasoned well, and made to perfection. It had mushrooms, cheese, and bacon. The bacon was thick and crisp. Yum! The French fries were to die for! They have truffle, sweet potato, and garlic. I ordered a mix of sweet potato and garlic. I highly recommend both. The truffles were on top of the fries, if that is how you like them, but the sweet and garlic fries were a HIT! They had a myriad of drinks and sweets and the ambience is so country chic and the restrooms were beautifully decorated AND spotless! Now the best part. The staff was SUPER friendly! You could tell they wanted to be there. We were there for the last hour and they were all so warm and welcoming! One girl even volunteered to take a family pic of us as we were headed out. This is a hidden gem that I will definitely return to! Thank you for the wonderful dining experience!

You can sit in or outside with your fur babies which is a rarity Menu is fresh, albeit a little pricey in my opinion. 2 burgers and a grilled cheese was 76 bucks. Also be careful as they automatically tip at check out and you order inside and they bring the food to you. Thats it. You fill and refill your own drinks and there is no table service. All in all it was a good experience and was pleasant outside on a nice Saturday for brunch. Well definitely be back since they are so dog friendly.

Great small business to go support! Good home cooking! Open from 7am- 2pm…read more Got there at 1015am on a Sunday and there was already a 10-15min wait. There were several open tables but it seems they take reservations or were allowing people to call-in to get on the list. We only ended up waiting 8 minutes which allowed us time to review the menu and decide what we wanted. Big wooden tables with comfortable wide chairs. Looked like a table sturdy enough for a bunch of Cowboys with chicken fried steak plates. Lol. They have a couple iced coffee drink specials. They even had a sign on the table for a special Valentines Dinner they're opening that evening for reservations only - $45/person. A few tables were getting a cinnamon roll to share as a starter. Looked yummy! We got HONEY BUTTER BISCUIT W/BREAKFAST POTATOES (8.99). Sooooooo good! Warm honey - we ordered our honey on the side instead of poured all over. 5/5 CHICKEN BISCUIT DELUXE (14.99) 5/5 One biscuit with cream gravy topped with fried chicken sprinkled with a little cheddar cheese topped with 2 eggs (your way) served with 2 strips bacon. It was really good and filling. Had nearly half leftover. Could have taken a nap after eating. Decaf coffee kept me warm on a cold morning. I want to go back to try their cinnamon roll, famous chicken fried steak, & other delicious sounding menu items! They had a tv scrolling pictures of their food which looked really good. Some parking spots in small private lot but plenty public parking right across the street. Friendly staff!

Food - 10 out of 10 Absolutely delicious every time. I had…read morethe 3 egg breakfast along with a gluten free pancake, and both were cooked perfectly. The eggs were fresh and flavorful, and the pancake had a great texture not dry or dense like a lot of gluten-free options. You can tell they use high quality ingredients, and everything comes out hot and well prepared. Portions are generous too, so you definitely leave full. Service - 10 out of 10 Always consistently great. Staff is friendly, attentive, and quick without making you feel rushed. Orders come out accurately, and they do a good job checking in without overdoing it. Even when it's busy, the service stays on point. Prices - 6 out of 10 On the higher end for breakfast. You do get a lot of food and quality ingredients, but it's probably one of the pricier breakfast spots around. Worth it occasionally, just not somewhere most people would go every day unless price isn't a concern. Environment - 10 out of 10 Very clean, modern, and upscale vibe. It has a trendy brunch feel with good energy, making it a great spot to sit down and enjoy your meal. Only small downside is the music can be a bit loud at times, but overall it's a really enjoyable atmosphere.

Now on to the reason why I gave it 3 stars. There were 12 in our party and only one server. She did a very good job taking care of us however there was a slight wait when we needed something. There appeared to be other servers standing around the bar that could have helped but I guess they had other things to do. Now on to the food. UE has an awesome menu with the ability to order alcoholic drinks. I ordered the Avocado toast with scrambled eggs. The toast was tough and difficult to cut with a butter knife. I had to get a steak knife and it was still difficult. My sister was having the same problem. It was like the toast was sitting around for a while getting stale with the avocado sitting on top until you order the egg. The side salad was good. My brother thought that his chicken and waffle was subpar and the gravy had an aftertaste. There were a few others disappointed with their food but for the most part it was acceptable fare. Honestly I probably wont be going back. The prices were fair but the food quality should have been better.
