Countryside Breakfast
Jim M.

Our New Sunday Breakfast tradition starts with Mango's. We arrived before 9am and was seated immediately. Our server Blanca got is started with waters and some iced coffees for the ladies. The menu had plenty to choose from and we ordered the Countryside Platter, Mexican Benedict, and the 2x2x2 meals and in no time they were serving it up cooked perfectly as ordered and hot. Noticeably fast service from the kitchen. It was a quiet calm feeling during the meal as the morning rush hadn't made it in. Made our 1st little family breakfast an enjoyable start to our day.

If you need a good brunch place come to mangos in Southlake , the restaurant is bright and pretty with inside and outside seating, the service was super nice as soon as we walked through the door , greeted , water glasses always filled and the food came out super fast , hot and delicious, we can't wait to come back .

Kick'N Chicken Omelet

The restaurant had showed its age since my previous visit. The booth had a significant tear on one of its seats. My napkin appeared to have a cigarette burn. Similar to the nearby tables, mine was not properly setup. While I was waiting for the coffee, another waitress made couple passes to drop off bottles of hot sauce and ketchup. I ordered the Kick'N Chicken omelet. The amount of chicken pieces were appropriate so not to be overwhelming. Most of the bites had some amount of the cheese. While not immediately noticeable, the salsa had some heat. Unfortunately, the omelet was the only thing decent about the breakfast. The coffee was significantly bitter. Unlike my last visit, I did not have to worry about refills as none were needed. The morning's caffeine intake was not met. The slice of sourdough toast was served with a single container of jelly and butter. The fruit cup contained two small chunks of mango, about one and half strawberries, and a several grapes and blueberries.

One of my favorite breakfast spots, hands down. The food is always delicious, and the portions are massive. I've never managed to finish a meal here (though I happily take the leftovers home every time). I'm pretty picky when it comes to coffee at breakfast/brunch places, but theirs is surprisingly good, honestly, better than most! We've bought a bag of their coffee as well. The service is always friendly, and even with how busy it gets, the food comes out pretty quickly. I don't think I've ever seen this place not packed, and it's easy to understand why. But it's bright and never feels overcrowded. It does get a little bit loud, but what brunch places doesn't?

Great spot! Clean fresh ingredients. The service was stellar. The restaurant was well lit and open in space. I'm visiting Dallas and tried this for the first time. Highly recommend

This location was very cute, they even had a photo op area for anyone wanting to TikTok or IG their experience. There is plenty of seating, and the staff was attentive the entire time to meet the brunch rush needs that seemed to be clearly present during our visit. Happy with the overall menu selection, I felt it had a great half and half to meet your average brunch wants, and the cost is average, but it's worth every bite. I ended up choosing lunch, a Steak Salad for $17, while my friend chose breakfast, the BLT omelet with a side of fruit and toast. Both of us were gushing over the quality of the ingredients and the quantity as well! Let me not forget the glass of fresh OJ for $4, which hit the spot for my mid-morning meal!

We met a friend for brunch, and he suggested this place--so glad he did! The owner/manager greeted us as soon as we walked in, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. The food was extremely tasty, and the portion sizes were excellent. Their pancakes were delicious. Tabatha took great care of us and was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

A solo Saturday morning led to Southlake where Mango's was the choice for breakfast. A packed parking lot let me know the flavors on the inside were on point. Not overly hungry, I went with the breakfast tacos. Flavor wise, they were okay, however Mango's didn't skimp on the portions. Although the breakfast tacos only come with two, they're pretty filling. The service and staff as well for a Saturday morning were up to par. From my server constantly checking in to management walking around, you can tell customer satisfaction is a thing here. If in the southlake area again on a Saturday morning, I look forward to diving a bit deeper into their menu.

This spot was in the same location as my salon appointment. Afterwards, I decided to check it out. I ate at the counter. The aesthetics inside were nice and the staff were friendly. I ordered the BLT omelette with the hash browns and pancake option. The menu said mini pancakes. There was nothing mini about them. The regular size must be huge. Everything was good and plentiful. The omelette had lots of cheese which I love. Plenty of bacon and spinach throughout. I was full pretty quick. I didn't even get half the omelette down. I regretted not bringing the leftovers home. What was I thinking? The price was very reasonable. Go check this place out and make sure you're hungry.

I ordered the breakfast burrito and chose wisely my four fixing, bacon, sausage, hash brown, and cheddar. It's really not expensive and it truly filled me up. We also tried biscuit and gravy and a stunning omelette. The restaurant was packed when we arrived, but the system was incredibly well organized. I arrived during the lunch rush, and both the parking lot and the restaurant were packed. Even though they were extremely busy, we were immediately greeted by a courteous and polite young man who quickly escorted us to a booth. We were seated in Ms. Maria's section, and she was a wonderful server. She greeted us with a warm smile, brought us menus along with the lunch menu, chips and salsa, and promptly served our water. She gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and was friendly, attentive, and very courteous throughout our meal. The chips and salsa were very good. My only suggestion would be to offer a salsa without cilantro for those who prefer it. We ordered the Create Your Own Combo Plate, which included a chicken flauta, a crispy taco, rice, and refried beans topped with cheese for $15.50. The taco was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, while the chicken flauta was covered in a flavorful red chile sauce that had just the right amount of heat. The rice and refried beans were seasoned perfectly and complemented the meal well. We also ordered the chimichanga, smothered in cheese sauce and served with rice and refried beans, for $16.00. It was well seasoned, delicious, and satisfying. The flavors weren't overpowering--they were balanced and enjoyable, making it a dish I would gladly order again. This was my first visit to Mi Dia From Scratch, and I came away very impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lively, and the restaurant also offers a nice outdoor seating area. Between the excellent service and flavorful food, I will definitely be back. I hope you'll give it a try too!

We've driven past Craftway Kitchen more than a few times, always intrigued with a 'we have to try that place sometime'. Saturday night was sometime. I generally don't like to eat on patios, because flies show up, etc. Not at Craftway... not sure what they were doing, but there wasn't a fly or other flying bug around. The patio wasn't just clean, it was meticulous. Welcoming too - It felt very much like an extension of the restaurant. Alex, our waiter was quick to bring water and menus. Returning to take drink orders, a margarita was ordered as was a glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc. Drinks were quickly served. Water was never allowed to become empty. Alex asked if we had ever been to Craftway, we informed him this was our first visit. His ask "any allergies?" to which we said no. He disappeared, returning with an appetizer sampling plate with three items - the Reuben egg rolls, crab stuffed mushrooms, and blue cheese chips. All were fantastic! Three entrees ordered, the Chicken & Fig sandwich, Chicken Milanese and the Cajun pasta with Chicken. Food arrived; each entree was fantastic. Cooked to perfection, flavors were amazing. Dessert, shared, was a bread pudding with ice cream, a perfect finish. Alex never let beverages become empty, delivered superb service. The Chef circulated the room checking on satisfaction and chatting with patrons. Giving Craftway Kitchen a very well deserved 5-star rating. The staff did everything right! The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
