I had Cajun Chicken and Waffles, Wendy had Migas with chorizo. Banana strawberry Nutella crepes to finish. Coffee was great! 53rd anniversary trip, best meal so far! We will return. It's been a while since my experience here, and I'd actually forgotten the name of the restaurant until recently, but I still remember why I walked out. I almost never leave a place before eating, but this time, I did. It was during my first and only visit. I didn't have the same experience so many others have had. In fact, I walked out before we could eat. We were sat at a booth that was ripped in multiple places. While that was a little uncomfortable on my legs as I was wearing shorts, I was a little surprised for a restaurant that seemed so nice. I'm not even basing my score off that, it's just worth a mention for those who expect perfection - which admittedly I do not. What I do expect, is cleanliness. When the waitress brought is our coffees and waters, I took one look at both my coffee mug and glass and there were lipstick prints. My husband only had lipstick on his coffee cup but I had it on both. Not remnants of the lipstick oils that can be buffered out, actual red and pink lipstick on both. It was baffling this wasn't discovered before the drinks made it to our table. It was hard to believe these had been set down in front of a guest without anyone noticing. The cups looked as though they hadn't even gone through a proper wash. They looked like they'd taken them from another customer and brought them directly to us. (That's how dirty they were). For me, that was an instant red flag. Cleanliness is non-negotiable, and once that trust is broken, there's really no coming back from it. So I keep seeing this exquisite café and I decided I would go try. It was really tasty. I got the chicken Benny. Which was chicken fried chicken on top of a biscuit with a poached egg. It was very tasty. It was such a strange combination. I wanted to try it. I'm glad I did. The chicken was done perfectly. The biscuit was fluffy. The poached egg was of course delicious I also got the cheesy grits on the side and that was very tasty. I will definitely be back to try some more. I have to say my waiter was very helpful and tea arrived just automatically, didn't even have to ask. And the manager was very attentive and kept asking if everything was OK and did I need anything? Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast which we love because we showed up hungry and chatty. The place is cute, the service was sweet, and we didn't feel rushed at all. Our server asked us if we wanted the side (hashbrowns, salad, etc) that comes with our entree or if we just wanted to have our avocado add-on as our side. We agreed we were satisfied just having the avocado as our side. Plate come out with 2 slices of not fresh avocado and then comes the check with a charge for the avocado. I called the server over to ask her and she said sorry I forgot to tell you my manager said it couldn't be used as a side and it would just be an upcharge. To clarify, we would've been fine with the upcharge for avocado if we had known-- we would've just ordered the sides that came with our meals but thinking the avocado could replace it without a charge, we didn't. As far as quality of food- I would say it's mediocre. I could've made way better at home for the price we paid. read more

I was able to get in and get a table as I arrived early and got a cup of coffee which did not disappoint. For my food I opted for the avocado toast which was very flavorful and had a nice balance from the seasoning. My husband and I came on Sunday after church. My husband told me that the manager(?) or host(?) who took our names for the wait was very unpleasant and had quite the attitude. After waiting longer than the estimated wait, our server was not attentive or friendly for that fact. She was too busy to come by and check even when we had tried to get her attention. I think this restaurant has gone down quite a bit since the management change. There's all new faces, we used to come almost every Sunday and knew everyone by name. As we were out and about we decided to grab a bite to eat. We were having a hard time deciding where to go for lunch, and my daughter was not feeling very well. We don't know too many eateries in Southlake, and we struck out on our first choice. The restaurant was very neat, clean, well organized and very comfortable. They also have an outdoor dinning area which wax very clean too. All staff were friendly, well dressed and displayed a happy and friendly attitude to be working. My daughter looked up a place and found Eggsquisite Cafe. As we walked in we were promptly greeted by the host and taken to a booth. A really nice young lady Ms. Annie R., was our waitress. She was very warm, friendly, and sweet smile. She brought our menus, took out drink orders which we had water and a cup of segafredo coffee, which my daughter really liked. When Ms. Annie, returned she took our order she got the Monte Christo sandwich, with hashbrowns, for $13.99, my precious darling had the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, for $13.49 and onion rings, for $1.00 and I had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, with french fries, for $14.99. The Monte Christo sandwich, and hash browns were very delicious and the spear of dill pickle which was a pallate cleanser. The chicken cordon bleu, was well portioned with chicken, ham, and cheese, the onion rings were well seasoned crispy, hot and very delicious. The Philly cheese steak sandwich was well portioned with beef, green bell peppers, the fries were crispy, well seasoned and piping hot I got so full with the fries I only tasted my sandwich which was so very delicious. This was our first visit to this location but we go to Little Elm's location a lot! The food here came out fast and hot! It was delicious and definitely would recommend to anyone staying at Gaylord or Great Wolf Lodge that doesn't want their expensive and underwhelming buffet. They have a virtual queue here on Yelp so make sure you check in there before heading out! Service was good and I don't think our drinks ever got completely empty without being topped off or refilled immediately. As stated before food came out hot and fast. No complaints on service. Ambience was a little louder than what we were expecting but it was Sunday morning after Church. The place is very clean, and larger than the LE location. read more
