My husband and I came on Sunday after church. My husband told me that the manager(?) or host(?) who took our names for the wait was very unpleasant and had quite the attitude. After waiting longer than the estimated wait, our server was not attentive or friendly for that fact. She was too busy to come by and check even when we had tried to get her attention. I had my regular, smoked salmon Benedict, as always the salmon was smoked to perfection and a generous portion. One side of my Benedict the egg was perfectly cooked but the other side was more gelatinous. The hollandaise was amazing as always. The English muffin was a little tough which was weird and not the norm for here at all. The disappointing part about of my breakfast were the hash browns. I ordered them extra crispy with cheese. It was delicious and definitely would recommend to anyone staying at Gaylord or Great Wolf Lodge that doesn't want their expensive and underwhelming buffet. They have a virtual queue here on Yelp so make sure you check in there before heading out! It's 1045 on a Sunday morning, and they are completely packed with a 20 minute waiting list. Granted, breakfast places in Grapevine/Southlake are always busy Sunday morning, but it's likely, that here, it's absolutely about the service and the value for the really great food they serve! Really great menu, with almost every breakfast choice imaginable, to include chicken and waffles! Atmosphere is very fresh, friendly, and modern with lots and lots of windows letting in light. Additionally, they have outdoor seating wish, surprisingly in the shade, was quite comfortable. We ordered the Cajun chicken and waffles, which was very good! Just spicy enough for me, not so spicy my that my wife couldn't enjoy it! The waffles have bacon cooked in, which really added to how good they were! The owner came by and apologized for the service (our waiter did too). Frankly, it was much better than many other places we go, who aren't half as busy! I always ask the server and they either have lackluster taste or they are lying... but I'm grateful for our server who told me it was so-so and redirected me to the chicken dishes. Husband had chicken and waffles, I had chicken fried chicken, kids had a skillet. The chicken was amazing. The Hashbrown that accompanied had a weird possibly rancid oil taste.
