This restaurant was the original Cafe Republic on North Beach. The food is a good ole classic brunch with above average expectations. The bacon is not the basic extremely thin bacon you would expect from a basic breakfast, it's nice and thick. The staff is extremely friendly and if you come here enough this staff will probably know who you are after 2-3 times. They are all very personable. We didn't feel rushed at all during the service which is a huge turnoff. The facility itself is very clean and well kept. read more

Found this cute cafe when I was in the area visiting a friend. It was very busy and there seemed to be a different server for every table almost. A man who may have been the owner went around to each table and ensured they were being taken care of. I ordered the garden skillet. I expected it to come out "sizzling" as most skillets do, but this one did not. In fact, the cheese wasnt even really melted and the ingredients were different temperatures as if they had all been cooked separately. I did mention this to my server and she asked if I wanted them to remake it but I chose not to. It was edible and I didn't want to wait longer. There were quite a few "regulars" who got VIP treatment from all the staff it seemed. Overall I enjoyed my time, would recommend this place to anyone looking for a yummy breakfast! read more
