Another great meal today. Busy but no wait again on a Sunday morning around 1030am! Friendly staff that appear to work well together. Today I finally ate off the lunch menu and was not disappointed! I got the California Wrap ($12) which is massive! Should have split it. Burrito sized tortilla stuffed with grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce tomato & bacon (I asked for no mayo). Portion of fries was huge and they were good. Crunchy on outside, soft in middle. My Mom got the Turkey Bacon Club & Fries which was also massive!! We brought more than half our meal home. Will share next time. My only two wishes for improvements (and reason for removing 1 star) - need a homemade ranch & decaf coffee. If can't do homemade ranch, switch to a better one than what's currently being used. Love this family owned small business! You will not be disappointed if you want good casual food for a good price! I look forward to trying the newer location off NE Green Oaks & Collins (where Al's used to be) sometime soon. read more

My dad and I stopped in today for the first time, and had the best experience. Our food was so good!! And service was excellent! I wish we had gotten the gentleman's name that served us but he was the only server there and was perfectly attentive and very nice. Sunday breakfast around 830am. Seated immediately in a booth. Waitress took our drink order and gave us a minute to review the menu. Location has lots of seating and is new. I like the booths by the windows, allowed us to see outside during our meal. The breakfast menu has LOTS of options, so it may take you a minute to find what you want. I picked the 4x2 which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 pancakes. I asked if I could opt for a waffle instead and the waitress said I could but there would be a unchanged for it...she thought $2-3...no problem. As she delivered our food, she advised the charge is actually $5. I'm expecting a good waffle for the price increase....and I was completely disappointed when she brings out what looks like a thin, non-belgium waffle (even though the menu said it was a belgium waffle...) you'd get from another place that serves waffles and has waffle in its name and gets a bad rep for attracting some wild characters. Not knocking that other place, I like their food and you know what you are getting. I digress...but my mention of that "other place" can be tied back to this place in that the food quality is about the same, except here my meal (2 plates) cost $40 and would have been about $20 at the other place. For what its worth, my eggs were cold and the bacon was waaaaay overdone. Not crispy, rather it was burned by grease and old bacon scraps. With the number of breakfast places in the Keller/Alliance area (including that other place..lol), I think I'll pass on this spot. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. read more

Great clean neat breakfast/lunch place. It was not super crowded on Sunday between 9-10am. Good service and food. We had a classic breakfast. Generous servings. Special homemade pastry treats on weekends. We had the cinnamon roll. It was fresh and delicious with cinnamon, apples and walnuts. We'll be back! read more

On the foggy day that I went to Lone Star Cafe, it felt like a movie scene from a truckstop diner. This cafe has a cozy vibe with dependable hot coffee waiting for you. So...this is my second review for them - First was 4 stars for the chicken fried steak - I took off a star cause the gravy was bland and tasted like school gravy Today I went and had the burger.... A pre made manufactured patty... This ain't diner coffee. It's coffee shop coffee, dark and rich. And they keep your cup full full I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, over easy, hash browns and a biscuit. I'm from Detroit and travel a lot. When I'm in Texas or Arizona, this is my breakfast. LSC's is perfect. The steak is 8 ozs, breaded and seasoned, fried to perfection. Even under the blanket of gravy, it's still crunchy. The has browns were so crisp you had to cut through the crust, and you could taste the butter used to get this crispy goodness. The eggs tasted fresh and were as ordered. The biscuit was about the size of a Pillsbury biscuit, a bit small. I thought this would be the flaw in the meal. But when I tasted the buttery goodness all was forgiven. Is this the best Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs in DFW? You'd get no argument from me. read more

We stopped by on a Friday around 12:00 for lunch. Not too busy so it was nice and quiet. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The food was great. They were serving breakfast and lunch. Oh my goodness YA'LL!!! We were invited Sunday, their first day open (soft open 2/16) and I was so pleasantly surprised! Hubs got the Country Skillet and he was so happy with it that he went again today Saturday (2/22) and got it again lol! It's hash browns, 2 eggs, sausage, gravy, and choice of bread, which he selected toast both times. He wants me to tell you how good their coffee is too, he is a basic black coffee with a little sugar drinker, and the quality of the coffee is so smooth, really delicious! I had Pancakes, and oh my goodness, they are big and fluffy and not only taste great but the aroma is so enticing, of course I had bacon too cuz I love sweet and savory together! This is our new go-to spot for breakfast. Portions are huge and the food is fresh and delicious. My favorite it the country skillet. It's everything grandma makes for breakfast in one skillet! My family and I were excited to try something new so we went to check it out today. The place was fairly empty at 11:30 on a Sunday morning which should've been a red flag. We ordered and the food came out quickly. I ordered a chorizo skillet (which wasn't on a skillet) and my daughter ordered the chicken fried chicken. First thing I noticed was that all the ingredients in my "skillet" (except the eggs) were pre-packed off the shelf items from any normal distributor (I.e. Sysco). Even the salsa was Pace-like picante sauce and the biscuit was a bland disc of flour. The CFC was equally underwhelming topped with gross commercial gravy. I sent my plate back after taking one bite and the server said nothing. When the check came, I noticed that my plate was still on the ticket. I waited for the server to come back and I asked her if she was going to take my plate off and she said she wouldn't without "feedback ". My initial thought was that if you wanted feedback, why not ask for it when I returned the plate? After sharing some of my thoughts, she said "Fine", and walked away. She finally returned with the correct check which I paid. Keller deserves better!! For someone to spend a good amount of money to open a relatively nice place and serve such mediocre and uninspired food is insulting to the residents of this town. Do better please!! read more

We have been there five times in the last month. We have had everything off the menu and it is amazing chicken fried steak. They have it perfected french fries sandwiches breakfast. There's always something everyone can find to eat. Omelettes are good. Salads are good. I hope this place continues to thrive Way impressed great service and you don't feel rushed everyone's nice.
